Haggai 1:1-11 in Oriya

1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,

2 Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the Lord’s house should be built.

3 Then came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet, saying,

4 Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?

5 Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.

6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.

7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.

8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the Lord.

9 Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the Lord of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.

10 Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.

11 And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.

1 ପାରସ୍ଯ ରାଜା ଦାରିଯାବସଙ୍କର ରାଜତ୍ବର ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ବର୍ଷର ଛଅମାସର ପ୍ରଥମ ଦିବସ ରେ ହାଗଯ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଏହି ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ପାଇଲେ। ଏହି ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ଶଲ୍ଟୀଯଲଙ୍କେ ପୁତ୍ର ୟିରୁଦ୍ଦାବିଲ ଓ ୟିହୋଷାଦଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଯିହାଶୂେୟଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଥିଲା। ୟିରୁଦ୍ଦାବିଲ ଯିହୁଦାର ଦଶାେଧ୍ଯକ୍ଷ ଓ ଯିହାଶୂେୟ ଜଣେ ମହାନ୍ ଯାଜକ ଥିଲେ। ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ହାଗଯଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା କୁହାୟାଇଥିବା ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ଏହାହିଁ ଅଟେ।

2 ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହା କହନ୍ତି: ଲୋକେ କହୁଛନ୍ତି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବାର ଏପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ପ୍ରକୃଷ୍ଟ ସମୟ ହାଇନୋହିଁ।
Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the Lord’s house should be built.

3 ପୁନର୍ବାର ହାଗଯ ଆଉ ଏକ ବାର୍ତ୍ତା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଗ୍ରହଣ କଲେ। ହାଗଯ ବାର୍ତ୍ତାଟି କହିଲେ:
Then came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet, saying,

4 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଭାବୁଛ ଯେ ସୁନ୍ଦର ଘ ରେ ବାସ କରିବାକୁ ଠିକ୍ ସମୟ ଆସିୟାଇଛି। ସୁନ୍ଦର କାନ୍ଥ ରେ କାଠ ଫଳକ ଲାଗିଥିବା ଘ ରେ ବାସ କରୁଛ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଗୃହ ତଥାପି ଭଗ୍ନ ଅବସ୍ଥା ରେ ଅଛି।
Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?

5 ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କୁହନ୍ତି, 'କ'ଣ ଘଟୁଛି ଚିନ୍ତା କର।
Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.

6 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ବହୁ ମଞ୍ଜି ବୁଣୁଛ କିନ୍ତୁ ଅଳ୍ପ ଶସ୍ଯ ଅମଳ କରୁଛ। ତୁମ୍ଭର ଖାଇବାକୁ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଅଛି କିନ୍ତୁ ପଟେ ପୁରିବାକୁ ପ୍ରଚୁର ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭର ପାନୀଯ ପାଇଁ ଅଳ୍ପ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ ଅଛି। କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭର ଚାହିଦା ପୂରଣ ପାଇଁ ୟଥେଷ୍ଟ ନୁହେଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭର ଯଦିଓ କିଛି ବସ୍ତ୍ର ପିନ୍ଧିବାକୁ ଅଛି ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉଷୁମ ରଖିବାକୁ ୟଥେଷ୍ଟ ନୁହେଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଧନ ଅର୍ଜ୍ଜନ କରୁଛ କିନ୍ତୁ ତାହା କୁଆଡେ ଗ୍ଭଲି ଯାଉଛି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣିପାରୁନାହଁ, ଯେପରିକି ତୁମ୍ଭ ପକଟେ ରେ ଥିବା କଣା ବାଟେ ସେସବୁ ଗ୍ଭଲି ଯାଉଛି।

7 ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯାହା କରୁଛ, ସେ ବିଷଯ ରେ ଚିନ୍ତା କର।
Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.

8 ପର୍ବତ ଉପରକୁ ୟାଅ ଓ କାଠ ନଇେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ନିର୍ମାଣ କର। ତା'ପ ରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ଗୃହ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ହବୋ ଓ ଗୌରବାନ୍ବିତ ହବୋ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହା କହିଲେ।
Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the Lord.

9 ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କୁହନ୍ତି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପ୍ରଚୁର ଶସ୍ଯ ଅମଳ କରିବାକୁ ଖୋଜୁଛ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଶସ୍ଯ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରିବାକୁ ଯାଉଛ ସଠାେ ରେ ଅତି ଅଳ୍ପ ଶସ୍ଯ ଦେଖୁଛ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସେ ଶସ୍ଯ ଘରକୁ ଆଣୁଛ, ତା'ପ ରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପବନକୁ ପଠାଇ ସେ ସମସ୍ତକୁ ଉଡାଇଦେଉଛୁ। ଏହା କାହିଁକି ଘଟୁଛି? କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଯେତବେେଳେ ନିଜ ନିଜ ଘରର ଯତ୍ନ ନବୋକୁ ତତ୍ପର ହେଉଛ ସେତବେେଳେ ଆମ୍ଭ ଗୃହ ଧ୍ବଂସ ହେଉଛି।

10 ସେଥିସକାେଶ ଆକାଶ ବର୍ଷା ଫରୋଇ ନେଉଛି ଓ ପୃଥିବୀ ଆଉ ଶସ୍ଯ ଦେଉନାହିଁ।
Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.

11 ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କୁହନ୍ତି, ପର୍ବତ ଓ ପୃଥିବୀ ଶୁଷ୍କ ହବୋକୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆଦେଶ ଦଲେୁ। ଶସ୍ଯ, ସଦ୍ଯ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାରସ, ଅଲିଭ ତଲେ ଏବଂ ପୃଥିବୀ ଉତ୍ପାଦନ କରୁଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ ଜିନିଷ ଶୁଷ୍କ ହାଇଯେିବ। ଏହି ମରୁଡି ମଧ୍ଯ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ପଶୁ, ମନୁଷ୍ଯ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶ୍ରମିକ ଉପ ରେ ପ୍ରଭାବ ପକାଇବ।
