ତେଣୁ ୟୋହାନନ୍ ତାହାର ସମସ୍ତ ସନୋପତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ନଇେ ନଥନିଯର ପୁତ୍ର ଇଶମାଯଲେ ସଙ୍ଗେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବାକୁ ଗଲେ ଓ ଗିବିଯୋନସ୍ଥିତ ଏକ ବିରାଟ ଜଳାଶଯ ନିକଟରେ ତାହାକୁ ଭଟେିଲେ।

ଯେତବେେଳେ ଅବ୍ରାମ ନିଜର ଜ୍ଞାତି ଧରା ହାଇେ ୟିବାର ସମାଚ଼ାର ଶୁଣିଲେ। ଅବ୍ରାମ ତା'ର ସମସ୍ତ ପରିବାରକୁ ଏକତ୍ରିତ କଲେ। ସଠାେରେ 318 ଜଣ ତାଲିମପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ସୈନିକ ଥିଲେ। ଅବ୍ରାମ ସେ ଶତୃମାନଙ୍କ ପେଛ ପେଛ ଗୋଡ଼ଇେ ଗୋଡ଼ଇେ ଦାନ ନଗର ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଗଲେ।

ତୃତୀୟ ଦିନ ଦାଉଦ ଏବଂ ତାଙ୍କର ଲୋକମାନେ ସିକ୍ଲଗ୍ ରେ ପହଁଞ୍ଚିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ଦେଖିଲେ ଅମାଲକେୀଯମାନେ ସିକ୍ଲଗ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରିଥିଲେ। ଅମାଲକେୀଯ ଲୋକମାନେ ନଗେଭେ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରି ଓ ସିକ୍ଲଗ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କରି ସହର ରେ ନିଆଁ ଲଗାଇ ଦଇେଥିଲେ।

ଦାଉଦ ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଜିନିଷ ଫରେିପାଇଲେ, ଯେଉଁଗୁଡିକୁ ଅମାଲକେୀଯମାନେ ନଇୟୋଇ ଥିଲେ। ଏପରିକି ତାଙ୍କର ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଇ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ମଧ୍ଯ।
