Ephesians 2
1 ପୂର୍ବରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପାପ ହତେୁ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ବାଧା ଦେଉଥିବା ଭୁଲ୍ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ହତେୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଆତ୍ମିକ ଜୀବନ ମୃତ ଥିଲା।
2 ଅତୀତ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସହେି ପାପ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ସହିତ ଜଡ଼ିତ ଥିଲ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସାଂସାରିକ ଜୀବନଯାପନ କରୁଥିଲ। ପୃଥିବୀ ରେ ମନ୍ଦ ଶକ୍ତିର ଶାସକକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅନୁସରଣ କରୁ ଥିଲ। ସହେି ମନ୍ଦ ଶକ୍ତି ଏବେ ମଧ୍ଯ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଅମାନ୍ଯ କରୁଥିବା ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଭିତ ରେ କାମ କରୁଛି।
3 ଅତୀତ ରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ସମସ୍ତେ ସହେିଭଳି ଜୀବନଯାପନ କରୁଥିଲୁ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ଆମ୍ଭର ପାପଭରା ମନୋଭାବର କାମନା ସବୁ ପୂରଣ କରିବା ରେ ଚେଷ୍ଟିତ ଥିଲୁ। ଯାହା ଆମ୍ଭ ଦହେ ଚାହୁଁଥିଲା ଓ ମନ ଭାବୁଥିଲା, ସହେି କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରୁଥିଲୁ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ମନ୍ ଦଲୋକ ଥିଲୁ। ଆମ୍ଭର ପାପପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଜୀବନ ଲାଗି ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ କୋର୍ଧର ପାତ୍ର ହାଇେ ଦଣ୍ଡ ଭୋଗ କରିଥାନ୍ତୁ।
4 କିନ୍ତୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଅତିଶୟ ପ୍ ରମେ କଲେ କାରଣ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦୟା ଅତି ମହାନ୍।
5 ସେ ସମୟରେ ଆମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଇଚ୍ଛା ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଆଚରଣ କରୁଥିବାରୁ ଆତ୍ମିକ ଭାବରେ ମୃତ ଥିଲୁ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠା ରେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ ହତେୁ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ନୂତନ ଜୀବନ ପ୍ରଦାନ କଲେ।
6 ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ହତେୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପରିତ୍ରାଣ ପାଇଅଛ। ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠା ରେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରୁଥିବାରୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ସହିତ ପୁନରୁଥିତ କଲେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସ୍ବର୍ଗୀୟ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ବସାଇ ଅଛନ୍ତି।
7 ଭବିଷ୍ଯତ ରେ ତାହାଙ୍କ କୃପାର ମହାନ୍ ସମ୍ପଦକୁ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଦଖାଇବୋ ପାଇଁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଏପରି କଲେ। ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ଆମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତାହାଙ୍କର ଏହି ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ପ୍ରକାଶ କଲେ। ଏହି ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ଦ୍ବାରା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଉଦ୍ଧାର ପାଇଛ।
8 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସହେି ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିଶ୍ବାସ ବଳ ରେ ପାଇଛ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜକୁ ଉଦ୍ଧାର କରି ନାହଁ, ବରଂ ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଦାନ।
9 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜ କର୍ମ ଦ୍ବାରା ଉଦ୍ଧାର ପାଇ ନାହଁ। ଯେପରି କୌଣସି ଲୋକ ଆପେ ଉଦ୍ଧାର ପାଇଅଛି ବୋଲି ଗର୍ବ ନ କରୁ।
10 ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯାହା, ତାହା କବଳେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ହାଇେଅଛୁ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ଯେପରି ଭଲ କାମ କରିପାରୁ, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ମଧିଅରେ ନୂତନ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି କଲେ। ଏହି ଭଲ କାମଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭପାଇଁ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଯୋଜନା କରି ରଖିଅଛନ୍ତି। ସେ ହିଁ ଯୋଜନା କରିଛନ୍ତି ଆମ୍ଭେ ସହେି ଭଲକାମ କରି ଜୀବନଯାପନ କରିବା।
11 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଅଣଯିହୂଦୀରୂପେ ଜନ୍ମ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିଲ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଯିହୂଦୀମାନେ ଅସୁନ୍ନତ ବୋଲି କହନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ନିଜକୁ ସୁନ୍ନତ281 ବୋଲି କହନ୍ତି। ଏହା ଏକ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ, ଯାହାକୁ କି ସମାନେେ ନିଜ ଶରୀର ଉପରେ କରିଥାନ୍ତି।
12 ମନରେଖ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟବିହୀନ ଥିଲ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଇସ୍ରାଯଲରେ ନାଗରିକ ନ ଥିଲ। ତେଣୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତାହାଙ୍କ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ କରିଥିବା ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା ୟୁକ୍ତ ନିୟମ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହାଇେ ନ ଥିଲ। ତୁମ୍ଭର ଆଉ କିଛି ଆଶା ଭରସା ନ ଥିଲା, କି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣି ନ ଥିଲ।
13 ସେତବେେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦୂର ରେ ଥିଲ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଏବେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କଠା ରେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ ଥିବା ହତେୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାଙ୍କର ନିକଟବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ହାଇେଛ। ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କର ରକ୍ତ ଦ୍ବାରା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ନିକଟତର ହାଇେଛ।
14 ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ହତେୁ ଆମ୍ଭେ ଏବେ ଶାନ୍ତି ରେ ଅଛୁ। ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯିହୂଦୀ ଓ ଅଣଯିହୂଦୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏକାଠି କଲେ। ଦୁହିଁଙ୍କ ମଝି ରେ କାନ୍ଥଟିଏ ଥିଲା ଭଳି ସମାନେେ ଅଲଗା ଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ଘୃଣା କରୁଥିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ନିଜ ଶରୀରକୁ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ସହେି ଘୃଣାର କାନ୍ଥଟିକୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଦେଲେ।
15 ୟିହୁଦୀମାନଙ୍କ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ରେ ଅନକେ ଗୁଡ଼ିଏ ଆଦେଶ ଓ ନିୟମାବଳୀ ଥିଲା, କିନ୍ତୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ସେ ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥାଟିକୁ ସମାପ୍ତ କଲେ। ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ଥିଲା, ଏହି ଦୁଇଦଳର ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଏକାଠି କରି ତାହାଙ୍କଠା ରେ ନୂତନ ଲୋକ କରାଇବା। ଏହା ଦ୍ବାରା ଯୀଶୁ ଯେପରି ଶାନ୍ତି ସ୍ଥାପନ କରିପାରନ୍ତି।
16 କ୍ରୁଶ ଉପରେ ମୃତ୍ଯୁବରଣ କରି ସେ ଦୁଇ ଦଳ ଭିତ ରେ ଥିବା ଏହି ଘୃଣାକୁ ସମାପ୍ତ କଲେ। ସହେି ଦୁଇଟି ଦଳରୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଶରୀର ରେ ପରିଣତ କରିବା ପରେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମିଳିତ କରାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଚାହିଁଲେ।
17 ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ କ୍ରୁଶ ରେ ଆପଣା ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ଦ୍ବାରା ଏହା ସାଧନ କଲେ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଦୂର ରେ ଥିଲ ଯେ, ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଆସି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଶାନ୍ତି ପ୍ରଚାର କଲେ।
18 କାରଣ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କ ମାଧ୍ଯମ ରେ ହିଁ, ଏକ ଆତ୍ମା ହାଇେ ପରମପିତା ପାଖକୁ ୟିବାର ଅଧିକାର ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ମିଳିଲା।
19 ଅତଏବ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏବେ ବିଦେଶୀ ଅବା ଅପରିଚିତ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ନୁହଁ ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପବିତ୍ର ଲୋକଙ୍କ ସହିତ ସହନାଗରିକ ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ନିଜ ପରିବାରର ଲୋକ ଅଟ।
20 ପ୍ ରରେିତ ଓ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତାମାନଙ୍କ ମୂଳଦୁଆ ଉପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜେ ଏକ ଭବନ ହାଇେ ଠିଆ ହାଇେଛ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତା'ର ମାଲିକ ଅଟନ୍ତି। ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯୀଶୁ ସହେି ଭବନର କଣର ପ୍ରଧାନ ପଥର ଅଟନ୍ତି।
21 ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଭବନଟି ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠା ରେ ପରସ୍ପର ସହିତ ସଂୟୁକ୍ତ ହାଇେ ନିର୍ମାଣ ହାଇେଛି। ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ସେ ଭବନକୁ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କଠା ରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ପବିତ୍ର ମନ୍ଦିର ହବୋ ପାଇଁ ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରାଉଛନ୍ତି।
22 ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟଙ୍କଠା ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଏକତ୍ର ନିର୍ମିତ ହେଉଅଛ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏପରି ଗୋଟିଏ ମନ୍ଦିର ରୂପେ ନିର୍ମିତ ହେଉଛ, ଯେଉଁଠା ରେ ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ମାଧ୍ଯମ ରେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ବାସ କରନ୍ତି।
1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
1 Again the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying,
2 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.
3 Thus saith the Lord; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the Lord of hosts the holy mountain.
4 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.
5 And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.
6 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the Lord of hosts.
7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;
8 And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.
9 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the Lord of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.
10 For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour.
11 But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the Lord of hosts.
12 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.
13 And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.
14 For thus saith the Lord of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the Lord of hosts, and I repented not:
15 So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.
16 These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:
17 And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the Lord.
18 And the word of the Lord of hosts came unto me, saying,
19 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.
20 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:
21 And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts: I will go also.
22 Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord.
23 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.
