Proverbs 13:1
ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ପୁତ୍ର ପିତାଙ୍କର ଉପଦେଶ ଯତ୍ନ ସହକା ରେ ଶୁଣେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଗର୍ବୀ ମୂର୍ଖ ଲୋକ କାହାରି ଉପଦେଶ ଶୁଣେ ନାହିଁ।

ଜଣେ ମନକ୍ସ୍ଟଷ୍ଯ ଯବେେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣେ ମନକ୍ସ୍ଟଷ୍ଯ ବିରକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ପାପ କରେ, ତବେେ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ହକ୍ସ୍ଟଏତ୍ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରିପାରନ୍ତି। କିନ୍ତ ମନକ୍ସ୍ଟଷ୍ଯ ଯବେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ବିରକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ପାପ କରେ, ତବେେ କିଏ ତାହା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରିବ? ତଥାପି ସମାନେେ ପିତାଙ୍କ ବାକ୍ଯ ଶୁଣିଲେ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବାକୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଇଚ୍ଛା ଥିଲା।

ହେ ପୁତ୍ରଗଣ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ପିତାଙ୍କ ଉପଦେଶ ଶୁଣ। ବୁଝାମଣା ଲାଭ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ନିଜକୁ ଅଭିନିବେଶ କର।

ହେ ମାରେ ପୁତ୍ର, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାରେ ବାକ୍ଯ ପ୍ରତି ଆକୃଷ୍ଟ ହୁଅ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ କର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଦଇେ ମାେ କଥା ଶୁଣ।

ନିନ୍ଦୁକମାନେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଲୋଡ଼ିଲେ ପାଆନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ। ମାତ୍ର ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ୍ ପାଇଁ ବିଦ୍ଯା ସହଜ ଅଟେ।
Proverbs 15:5
ଅଜ୍ଞାନ ଆପଣା ପିତାର ଶାସନକୁ ଅବ ହଳୋ କରେ, ମାତ୍ର ବିଜ୍ଞୋଚିତ ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଭର୍ତ୍ସନାକୁ ଆଦର ସହ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରନ୍ତି।
