Matthew 26:35
ପିତର ଏକଥା ଶୁଣି କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ବରଂ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମୃତ୍ଯୁ ବରଣ କରିବି, କିନ୍ତୁ କବେେ ହେଲେ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଚିହ୍ନିନାହିଁ ବୋଲି କହିବିନାହିଁ। ପୁଣି ଅନ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ତ ଶିଷ୍ଯମାନେ ସହେି ଏକା କଥା କହିଲେ।

1 Peter 1:17
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରୁଛ ଓ ପିତା ବୋଲି ଡ଼ାକୁଛ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ତାହାର କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଅନୁସାରେ ସମାନ ଭାବରେ ବିଚାର କରନ୍ତି। ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯେ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ପୃଥିବୀ ରେ ବଞ୍ଚି ରହିଛ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଭୟ ରଖି ବଞ୍ଚିବା ଉଚିତ୍।
