Amos 7:1
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେତେ ଏହା ଦଖାଇେଲେ। ଦ୍ବିତୀୟବାର ଶସ୍ଯ ଉତ୍ପାଦନ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହବୋ ସମୟରେ ସେ ପଙ୍ଗପାଳ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କଲେ। ରାଜା ପ୍ରଥମବାର ଶସ୍ଯ ଅମଳ କଲାପ ରେ ଏହା ଦ୍ବିତୀୟବାର ଶସ୍ଯ ଥିଲା।

ଉତ୍ତାପ ଓ ରୋଗଦ୍ବାରା ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶସ୍ଯସବୁ ନଷ୍ଟ କଲୁ। ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ବଗିଗ୍ଭ ଓ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷା କ୍ଷତକେୁ ଧ୍ବଂସ କଲୁ। ଫଙ୍ଗପାଳ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଡିମିରି ଓ ଅଲିଭ ବୃକ୍ଷକୁ ଖାଇ ଧ୍ବଂସ କଲେ। ତଥାପି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ପାଇଁ ଆସିଲ ନାହିଁ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହିସବୁ କହିଥିଲେ।

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି ଜିନିଷ ମାେତେ ଦଖାଇେଲେ: ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଗୋଟିଏ କାନ୍ଥ ନିକଟରେ ଓଳମ ଧରି ଛିଡା ହେଲେ। କାନ୍ଥ ଓଳମ ଦ୍ବାରା ସଳଖ କରାୟାଏ।

ମାରେପ୍ରଭୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମାେତେ ଏହିସବୁ ଦଖାଇେଲେ। ମୁଁ ଦେଖିଲି ପ୍ରଭୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ବିଗ୍ଭର ପାଇଁ ଅଗ୍ନିକୁ ଡକାଇଲେ। ସହେି ଅଗ୍ନି ମହାସାଗରକୁ ଧ୍ବଂସ କଲା। ସେ ପୃଥିବୀକୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ଶଷେ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲା।

ଏହାପ ରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ଏହି ବାକ୍ଯ ମାେ ନିକଟରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା। ଯଥା, ହେ ଯିରିମିୟ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କଅଣ ଦେଖୁଅଛ ?

ପତଙ୍କ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କଲାପରି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ଲୁଟିତ ସଂଗୃହିତ ହବେ। ଯେପରି ପତଙ୍ଗମାନେ ଡ଼ିଆଁ ମାରନ୍ତି, ସହେିପରି ବହୁଲୋକ ତା ଉପ ରେ ଡ଼ିଆଁ ମାରିବେ।
