ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କଲେ। ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଲୋକମାନେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରୁ ପଳାଯନ କଲେ। ଅନକେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟ ଲୋକ ଗିଲ୍ବୋଯ ପର୍ବତ ଉପରେ ନିହତ ହେଲେ।

ସେତବେେଳେ ଦାଉଦ ୟାଇ ୟାବେଶ୍-ଗିଲିଯଦ ନିବାସୀମାନଙ୍କ ନିକଟରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର ଅସ୍ଥି ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଯୋନାଥନର ଅସ୍ଥି ନେଲେ। କାରଣ ଗିଲ୍ବୋଯ ରେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟଯୀମାନେ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବଧ କରିବା ଦିନ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଶବ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ବୈଥ୍ଶାନ ଛକରେ ଟଙ୍ଗାଗଲା ଉତ୍ତା ରେ ୟାବେଶ୍- ଗିଲିଯଦୀଯମାନେ ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ତାହା ଗ୍ଭରେି କରି ନଇେଥିଲେ।
