Deuteronomy 6:1-19 in Oriya

1 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:

2 That thou mightest fear the Lord thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.

3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.

4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:

5 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

10 And it shall be, when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,

11 And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;

12 Then beware lest thou forget the Lord, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

13 Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.

14 Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;

15 (For the Lord thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the Lord thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.

16 Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.

17 Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.

18 And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the Lord: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers,

19 To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the Lord hath spoken.

1 ଏହିସବୁ ଆଜ୍ଞା, ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ଓ ବିଧି ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦବୋପାଇଁ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ବର ମାେତେ କହିଲେ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯେଉଁ ଦେଶ ଅଧିକାର କରିବାକୁ ପାର ହାଇେ ଯାଉଅଛ, ସଦେି ଦେଶ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଏହି ବ୍ଯବସ୍ଥା ପାଳନ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍।

2 ଏହା ଏପରି ଅଟେ ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣ ଏବଂ ନାତିନାତକ୍ସ୍ଟଣୀଗଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପରମେଶଓରଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ବଞ୍ଚିଥିବା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଭୟ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଏବଂ ତାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଓ ନିଯମ ପାଳନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ମୁ ଯାହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଉଛି, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ଦୀର୍ଘଜିବୀ ହବେ।
That thou mightest fear the Lord thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.

3 ତେଣୁ ହେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ, ଶକ୍ସ୍ଟଣ ଓ ତାହା ପାଳନ କରିବାକୁ ମନୋୟୋଗ କର, ତହିଁରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଯେଉଁପରି ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଛନ୍ତି; ସହେିପରି ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଗ୍ଧମଧକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପ୍ରବାହୀ ଦେଶ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ହବେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଅଧିକ ବିର୍ଦ୍ଦିଷ୍ତୁ ହବେ।

4 ହେ, ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଶକ୍ସ୍ଟଣ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଏକମାତ୍ର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟନ୍ତି।
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:

5 ଏଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ସମସ୍ତ ଅନ୍ତଃକରଣ, ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରାଣ, ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ଶକ୍ତି ସହିତ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶଓରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ ରମେ କରିବ।
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

6 ଏବଂ ମୁ ଆଜି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଯେଉଁ ଆଜ୍ଞା କରୁଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତାହାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆପଣା ହୃଦଯ ରେ ରଖିବ।
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

7 ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ସନ୍ତାନଗଣକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଯତ୍ନପୂର୍ବକ ଏହିସବୁ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦବେ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଗୃହ ରେ ବସିବା ବେଳେ, ପଥରେ ଚାଲିବା ବେଳେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଶଯନ କରିବା ବେଳେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଉଠିବା ବେଳେ, ସମାନଙ୍କେର ସଙ୍ଗେ ସେ ବିଷଯ ରେ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା କରିବ।
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

8 ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଗେୁଡିକୁ ଚିହ୍ନ ରୂପେ ନିଜ ହସ୍ତ ରେ ଓ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ କପାଳ ରେ ବାନ୍ଧିବା ଉଚିତ୍।
And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

9 ଆହକ୍ସ୍ଟରି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ଗୃହ ଦ୍ବାର ଚଉକାଠ ରେ ଓ ବାହାର ଦ୍ବାର ରେ ତାହା ଲେଖିବ।
And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

10 ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷ ଅବ୍ରହାମ, ଇସହାକ୍ ଓ ୟାକକ୍ସ୍ଟବ ନିକଟରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ଦେଶ ଦବୋପାଇଁ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଥିଲେ। ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି ଦେଶକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆଣିବେ ଏବଂ ନଗରଗକ୍ସ୍ଟଡିକ ସହିତ ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦବେେ, ଯେଉଁଗକ୍ସ୍ଟଡିକ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିନାହିଁ ଏବଂ ଯେଉଁଗକ୍ସ୍ଟଡିକ ବୃହତ ଓ ସକ୍ସ୍ଟନ୍ଦର ଅଟେ।
And it shall be, when the Lord thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,

11 ଉତ୍ତମ ସାମଗ୍ରି ରେ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ ଗୃହସବୁ ଯାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପୂର୍ଣ କରିନାହିଁ, କୂଅସବୁ ଯାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଖାେଳିଲ ନାହିଁ, ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ଓ ଜିତବୃକ୍ଷ ଯାହାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ରୋପଣ କଲ ନାହିଁ, ସଗେକ୍ସ୍ଟଡିକ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଭୋଗକରି ତୃଲ୍ଗ ହବେ।
And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;

12 ସେତବେେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନିଶ୍ଚିତ ସାବଧାନ ହବୋ ଉଚିତ୍ ଯେ, ୟିଏ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦାସ୍ଯଗୃହରୂପ ମିଶରରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ମକ୍ସ୍ଟକ୍ତ କରି ଆଣିଛନ୍ତି। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସହେି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଭୂଲିୟାଅ ନାହିଁ।
Then beware lest thou forget the Lord, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

13 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶଓରଙ୍କୁ ଭୟ କରିବ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାଙ୍କର ସବୋ କରିବ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ନାମ ରେ ଶପଥ କରିବ।
Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.

14 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦବଗେଣର, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଚତକ୍ସ୍ଟର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗସ୍ଥ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେଶୀଯ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଦବଗେଣର ପଶ୍ଚାଦଗାମୀ ହବେ ନାହିଁ।
Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;

15 ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭମାନେ ଯଦି ଏପରି କର, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର କୋରଧ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳ ରେ ପ୍ରଜ୍ବଳିତ ହବେ ଓ ସେ ଦେଶରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବିନାଶ କରବେ। କାରଣ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ମଧିଅରେ ଥିବା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଆପଣାର ମହିମା ବଜାଯ ରଖିବା ପାଇଁ ଇର୍ଷାପରାଯଣ ଅଟନ୍ତି।
(For the Lord thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the Lord thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.

16 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ମଃସା ରେ ଯମେନ୍ତ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶଓରଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କଲା ପରି, ପକ୍ସ୍ଟଣି ଥରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍ ନକ୍ସ୍ଟହଁ।
Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.

17 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭପ୍ରତି ଆବିଷ୍ଟ ସମସ୍ତ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ବିଧି ଯତ୍ନପୂର୍ବକ ପାଳନ କରିବ।
Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.

18 ଏହାପରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ରେ ଯାହା ନ୍ଯାଯ ଓ ଉତ୍ତମ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହା କରିବ, ତହିଁରେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ହବେ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆସିବ ଓ ଉତ୍ତମ ଭୂମି ଅଧିକାର କରିବ ଯାହାକି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କଠା ରେ ପ୍ରତିଜ୍ଞା କରିଥିଲେ।
And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the Lord: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers,

19 ଏବଂ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ଶତୃମାନଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଖରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦୂପ କରି ଦବେେ, ଯେ ରୂପେ ସେ କହିଛନ୍ତି।
To cast out all thine enemies from before thee, as the Lord hath spoken.
