Deuteronomy 14:1-2 in Oriya

1 Ye are the children of the Lord your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.

2 For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God, and the Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

1 ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସନ୍ତାନ, ଯେତବେେଳେ ଜଣେ ମରି ଯାଉଛି ତୁମ୍ଭର ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଃଖ ଜଣାଇବା ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଶରୀର କାଟି ପକାଇବ ନାହିଁ କିଅବା ଭୃଲତାର ମଧ୍ଯସ୍ଥଳ କ୍ଷୌର ହବେ ନାହିଁ।

2 କାହିଁକି ଜାଣ, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଅନ୍ୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଭିନ୍ନ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ପବିତ୍ର ଲୋକ। ପୃଥିବୀର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପସନ୍ଦ କରିଛନ୍ତି।
For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God, and the Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
