ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାରେ ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ଯା କରି ତୁମ୍ଭର ଭଣ୍ଡ ଦବେତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଅଗ୍ନି ମଧିଅରେ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିଅଛ।

ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜ ବଂଶଜାତ କାହାକୁ ହିଁ ମାେଲକ୍ ଦବେତାର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ରେ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗୀତ ହବୋକୁ ଦବୋ ଉଚିତ୍ ନୁହଁ, କିମ୍ବା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପବିତ୍ର ନାମକୁ କଳିଷିତ ନିଶ୍ଚଯ କରିବ ନାହିଁ। ମୁଁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଅଟେ।

ତୋଫତ ବନେ-ହିନ୍ନୋମ ଉପତ୍ୟକାର ଗୋଟିଏ ସ୍ଥାନ ଥିଲା, ଯେଉଁଠା ରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପୁତ୍ର ଓ କନ୍ଯାମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଲକେ ମିଥ୍ଯା ଦବେତା ସମ୍ମାନାର୍ଥେ ଅଗ୍ନି ରେ ହାମେ କଲେ। ଯେତବେେଳେ ଯୋଶିୟଯ ସହେି ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଅପବିତ୍ର କଲେ। ଲୋକମାନେ ଯେପରି ହାମେ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଅଧିକ ସମୟ ବ୍ଯବହାର ପାଇଁ ବନ୍ଦ କଲେ।

ଏପରିକି ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଲୋକମାନେ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦବେତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ବଳି ଦେଲେ।

ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜାଗଣ ବାଲ୍ଦବଙ୍କେ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ରେ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ଥଳୀ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ନିଜର ସନ୍ତାନଗଣଙ୍କୁ ବାଲଦବେ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ଯ ରେ ହାମବେଳି ରୂପେ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି। ଆମ୍ଭେ କିନ୍ତୁ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଏହା କହିବାକୁ ଆଦେଶ କରିନାହୁଁ କି କହି ନାହୁଁ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭ ମନ ରେ ଏହା ଉଦଯ ହାଇେ ନାହିଁ।
