2 Samuel 18 - BBE (Oriya)

1 And David had the people who were with him numbered, and he put over them captains of thousands and captains of hundreds.ଦାଉଦ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗଣି 1,000 ଜଣ ରେ ଜଣେ ଓ ପ୍ରତି 100 ଜଣ ରେ ଜଣେ ଲଖାେଏ ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଖିଆଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନିୟକ୍ସ୍ଟକ୍ତି ଦେଲେ।

2 And David sent the people out, a third of them under the orders of Joab, and a third under the orders of Abishai, son of Zeruiah, Joab's brother, and a third under Ittai the Gittite. And the king said to the people, And I myself will certainly go out with you.ଦାଉଦ ତାଙ୍କର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ମାଟେ ତିନି ଭାଗ ରେ ବିଭକ୍ତ କଲେ। ଯୋୟାବ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଏକ ତୃତୀଯାଂଶ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ନିୟକ୍ସ୍ଟକ୍ତି ହେଲେ। ଅନ୍ୟ ଏକ ତୃତୀଯାଂଶ ଯୋୟାବର ଭାଇ ସରକ୍ସ୍ଟଯାର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଅବୀଶଯର ଆଦେଶର ଅଧିନ ରେ ରହିଲା ଏବଂ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଏକ ତୃତୀଯାଂଶ ଗାଥର ଇତ୍ତଯ ଆଦେଶର ଅଧିନ ରେ ଥିଲେ।

3 But the people said, It is better for you not to go out: for if we are put to flight, they will not give a thought to us, and if death overtakes half of us, it will be nothing to them: but you are of more value than ten thousand of us: so it is better for you to be ready to come to our help from this town.ଲୋକମାନେ କହିଲେ, ଆପଣ ଆମ ସହିତ ନିଶ୍ଚଯ ଯିବେ ନାହିଁ। କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ପଳାଇଲେ ଅବଶା ଲୋମର ଲୋକମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଖାତିର କରିବେ ନାହିଁ। ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧକେ ମୃତକ୍ସ୍ଟ୍ଯବରଣ କଲେ ହେଁ, ସମାନେେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଚିନ୍ତା କରିବେ ନାହିଁ। ମାତ୍ର ଆପଣ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର 10,000 ସହିତ ସମାନ। ତେଣୁ ଏହା ଉତ୍ତମ ଯେ, ଆପଣ ଏହି ନଗର ରେ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ ପାଇଁ ରକ୍ସ୍ଟହନ୍ତକ୍ସ୍ଟ।

4 And the king said to them, I will do whatever seems best to you. So the king took his place by the door of the town, and all the people went out by hundreds and by thousands.ରାଜା ତାଙ୍କର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଯାହା ଉତ୍ତମ ବିଗ୍ଭର କର ମୁ ତାହା କରିବି।

5 And the king gave orders to Joab and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Because of me, be gentle to the young man Absalom. And this order about Absalom was given in the hearing of all the people.ରାଜା ଯୋୟାବ ଅବୀଶଯ ଓ ଇତ୍ତଯକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଦେଶ ଦଇେ କହିଲେ, ମାେ ପାଇଁ ଅବଶା ଲୋମ ପ୍ରତି ଭଦ୍ର ବ୍ଯବହାର କର।

6 So the people went out into the field against Israel, and the fight took place in the woods of Ephraim.ଏହିପରି ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଲୋକମାନେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟ ବିରକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଗଲେ ଓ ଇଫ୍ରଯିମ ବଣ ରେ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ହେଲା।

7 And the people of Israel were overcome there by the servants of David, and there was a great destruction that day, and twenty thousand men were put to the sword.ସଠାେରେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସୈନ୍ଯମାନଙ୍କ ଆଗ ରେ ପରାସ୍ତ ହେଲେ ଓ ସହେିଦିନ ସଠାେରେ ବହକ୍ସ୍ଟତ କ୍ଷତି ହେଲା ଏବଂ 20 ,000 ଲୋକ ସଠାେରେ ମୃତକ୍ସ୍ଟ୍ଯବରଣ କଲେ।

8 And the fighting went on over all the face of the country: and the woods were responsible for more deaths than the sword.ଦେଶୟାକ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ବ୍ଯାପିଗଲା। ପକ୍ସ୍ଟଣି ସଦେିନ ଖଡ୍ଗଗ୍ରାସ କରିବା ଅପେକ୍ଷା ବନ ରେ ଅଧିକ ଲୋକ ଗ୍ରାସ କଲା।

9 And Absalom came across some of David's men. And Absalom was seated on his mule, and the mule went under the thick branches of a great tree, and his head became fixed in the tree and he was lifted up between earth and heaven, and the beast under him went on.ଅବଶା ଲୋମ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ଅଧିକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଦଖାେ ହେଲା। ସେ ସମୟରେ ଅବଶା ଲୋମ ଖଚର ଉପରେ ଚଢି ଥିଲା। ସେ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଖଚର ରେ ଆରୋହଣ କରୁଥିଲା, ସେ ଖସିୟିବା ପାଇଁ ଗ୍ଭହକ୍ସ୍ଟଁଥିଲା ସମୟରେ ଏକ ବିରାଟ ଆଲୋନ୍ ବୃକ୍ଷ ରେ ତା'ର ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଣ୍ତ ଧକ୍କା ହେଲା ଏବଂ ବାଳଗକ୍ସ୍ଟଡାକ ଗଛ ଡାଳ ରେ ଲାଗି ଭୂମିର ଉପରେ ଝକ୍ସ୍ଟଲି ରହିଲା। ଯେତବେେଳେ ଖଚରଟି ସହେି ବାଟେ ଦୌଡିଥିଲା।

10 And a certain man saw it and said to Joab, I saw Absalom hanging in a tree.ସହେି ସମୟରେ ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ତାହା ଦେଖି ଯୋୟାବକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଜଣାଇ ଦଲୋ, ମୁ ଅବଶା ଲୋମକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଲୋନ ବୃକ୍ଷ ରେ ଟଙ୍ଗା ହାଇେଥିବାର ଦେଖିଲି।

11 And Joab said to the man who had given him the news, If you saw this, why did you not put your sword through him, and I would have given you ten bits of silver and a band for your robe?ଯୋୟାବ ସେ ଲୋକକୁ କହିଲେ, ଦେଖ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏସବୁ ଦେଖିଲ ମାତ୍ର ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି ତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ମାରି ଭୂମିରେ ପକାଇ ନ ଦଲେ? ତାହା କରିଥିଲେ ମୁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ଦଶ ଖଣ୍ତ ରୂପା ଓ ଏକ କଟିବନ୍ଧନ ଦଇେଥାନ୍ତି।

12 And the man said to Joab, Even if you gave me a thousand bits of silver, I would not put out my hand against the king's son: for in our hearing the king gave orders to you and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Take care that the young man Absalom is not touched.ସେ ଲୋକଟି ଯୋୟାବକକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲା, ମୁ ସେ ରାଜପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ମାରି ପାରି ନ ଥାନ୍ତି, ମାେତେ ଆପଣ ଯେତେ ଧନ ଦେଲବେି। ବା 1,000 ଖଣ୍ତ ରୂପା ଦେଲେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଏକାର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଅସମ୍ଭବ। କାହିଁକି? କାରଣ ଆମ୍ଭମାନେେ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଆଦେଶ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି, ଅବୀଶଯ ପ୍ରତି ଓ ଇତ୍ତଯ ପ୍ରତି ଶକ୍ସ୍ଟଣିଥିଲକ୍ସ୍ଟ। ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଆଦେଶ ଥିଲା, 'ସାବଧାନ, ଅବଶା ଲୋମକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଘାତ କର ନାହିଁ।'

13 And if I had falsely put him to death (and nothing may be kept secret from the king), you would have had nothing to do with me.ଯଦି ମୁ ଅବଶାଲୋମକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ହତ୍ଯା କରିଥାନ୍ତି, ରାଜା ଏକଥା ଜାଣିଥାନ୍ତେ ଏବଂ ଆପଣ ମାରେ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବାକୁ ଆସି ନଥାନ୍ତେ।

14 Then Joab said, I would have made it safe for you. And he took three spears in his hand, and put them through Absalom's heart, while he was still living, in the branches of the tree.ଯୋୟାବ କହିଲା, ମୁ ଏଠା ରେ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ସମୟ ନଷ୍ଟ କରି ପାରିବି ନାହିଁ।

15 And ten young men, servants of Joab, came round Absalom and put an end to him.ଯୋୟାବଙ୍କର ଦଶ ଜଣ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟବା ସୈନିକ ଥିଲେ। ଯେଉଁମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ସାହାୟ୍ଯ କରୁଥିଲେ। ସହେି ସୈନିକମାନେ ଅବଶା ଲୋମର ଚତକ୍ସ୍ଟପାଶର୍‌ବ ରେ ଏକତ୍ରୀତ ହାଇେ ତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ।

16 And Joab had the horn sounded, and the people came back from going after Israel, for Joab kept them back.ଯୋୟାବ ତୂରୀ ବଜାଇ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ପଛ ରେ ନ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇବା ପାଇଁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦେଲେ।

17 And they took Absalom's body and put it into a great hole in the wood, and put a great mass of stones over it: and every man of Israel went in flight to his tent.ତା'ପରେ ଯୋୟାବର ଲୋକମାନେ ଅବଶା ଲୋମର ମୃତ ଶରୀରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଣିଲେ। ଏବଂ ଜଙ୍ଗଲର ଏକ ଗର୍ତ୍ତ ରେ ଫିଙ୍ଗି ଦେଲେ। ଏବଂ ସେ ଗର୍ତ୍ତକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଥର ପକଇେ ପୋତି ଦେଲେ।

18 Now Absalom, before his death, had put up for himself a pillar in the king's valley, naming it after himself; for he said, I have no son to keep my name in memory: and to this day it is named Absalom's pillar.ଅବଶାଲୋମ ବଞ୍ଚିଥିବା ବେଳେ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଉପତ୍ୟକା ରେ ଏକ ସ୍ତମ୍ଭ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିଥିଲେ। ସେ କହିଲେ, ମାରେ ନାମକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଜୀବିତ ରଖିବା ପାଇଁ ମାରେ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ନାହିଁ। ସେଥିପାଇଁ ସେ ତାଙ୍କର ସ୍ମୃତିଫଳକ ରଖିବା ପାଇଁ ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲେ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ନିଜ ନାମ ରଖିଲେ। ସହେି ନାମ ଅଦ୍ଯପି ଅବଶା ଲୋମର ସମାଧିସ୍ତକ୍ସ୍ଟପ ରହିଅଛି।

19 Then Ahimaaz, the son of Zadok, said, Let me go and give the king news of how the Lord has done right in his cause against those who took up arms against him.ଏହାପରେ ସାଦୋକର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଅହୀମାସ ଯୋୟାବଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲା, ମୁ ଧାଇଁବି ଏବଂ ରାଜାଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିବି ଯେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତାଙ୍କର ଶତୃମାନଙ୍କୁ ଧ୍ବଂସ କରିଛନ୍ତି।

20 And Joab said, You will take no news today; another day you may give him the news, but you will take no news today, because the king's son is dead.ଯୋୟାବ ଉତ୍ତର ରେ ଅହୀମାସକକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲା, ନାଁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏ ସମ୍ବାଦ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ପାଖକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନଇେ ୟିବା ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏ ସମ୍ବାଦ ଅନ୍ୟ ସମୟରେ ନଇୟିବେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଆଜି ନବେ ନାହିଁ। କାହିଁକି? ରାଜାଙ୍କର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ମରିଅଛି।

21 Then Joab said to the Cushite, Go and give the king word of what you have seen. And the Cushite, making a sign of respect to Joab, went off running.ଏହାପରେ ଯୋୟାବ କୂଶୀଯରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆସିଥିବା ଲୋକକୁ କହିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ୟାଅ, ଆଉ ଯାହା ଦେଖିଛ ତାହା ରାଜାଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ କକ୍ସ୍ଟହ।

22 Then Ahimaaz, the son of Zadok, said to Joab again, Whatever may come of it, let me go after the Cushite. And Joab said, Why have you a desire to go, my son, seeing that you will get no reward for your news?କିନ୍ତୁ ସାଦୋକର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଅହୀମାସ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟନର୍ବାର ଯୋୟାବକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଅନକ୍ସ୍ଟ ରୋଧ କଲା, ଯାହା ହେଉନା ପେଛ, ମାେତେ ମଧ୍ଯ ସଇେ କୂସୀଯମାନଙ୍କ ପଛ ରେ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ଆଡକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଧାଇଁବାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଦିଅ।

23 Whatever may come of it, he said, I will go. Then he said to him, Go. So Ahimaaz went running by the lowland road and overtook the Cushite.ଅହୀମାସ ଉତ୍ତର ଦଲୋ, ଯାହା ହେଉନା କାହିଁକି ମୁ ୟିବି।

24 Now David was seated between the two town doors; and the watchman went up to the roof of the doorways, on the wall, and, lifting up his eyes, saw a man running by himself.ଦାଉଦ ନଗରର ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଇ ଫାଟକର ମଧିଅରେ ବସିଥିଲେ। ତା'ପରେ ଜଣେ ପ୍ରହରୀ ଦ୍ବାର ଛାତର କାନ୍ଥ ଉପରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟାଇ ଦେଖିଲା ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ଦୌଡି ଦୌଡି ଆସକ୍ସ୍ଟଅଛି।

25 And the watchman gave news of it to the king. And the king said, If he is coming by himself, then he has news. And the man was travelling quickly, and came near.ପ୍ରହରୀଟି ରାଜା ଦାଉଦଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲେ, ରାଜା ଦାଉଦ କହିଲେ, ଯଦି ସେ ଲୋକଜଣକ ଏକା ଆସକ୍ସ୍ଟଅଛି ତବେେ ସେ ଖବର ନଇେ ଆସିଛ।

26 Then the watchman saw another man running: and crying out in the direction of the door he said, Here is another man running by himself. And the king said, He, like the other, comes with news.ପ୍ରହରୀ ଆଉ ଜଣେ ଦୌଡି ଆସିବାର ଦେଖିଲା। ପ୍ରହରୀ ଜଣକ ଦ୍ବାରପାଳକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଡାକି କହିଲା, ଦେଖ! ଆଉ ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ଦୌଡି ଆସକ୍ସ୍ଟଅଛି।

27 And the watchman said, It seems to me that the running of the first is like the running of Ahimaaz, the son of Zadok. And the king said, He is a good man, and his news will be good.ପ୍ରହରୀ ଜଣକ କହିଲା, ମୁ ଭାବକ୍ସ୍ଟଛି ପ୍ରଥମ ଲୋକଟି ସାଦୋକର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଅହୀମାସ୍।

28 And Ahimaaz, crying out to the king, said, It is well. And falling down before the king, with his face to the earth, he said, May the Lord your God be praised, who has given up the men who took up arms against my lord the king!ଅହୀମାସ ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ବର ରେ କହିଲା, ସବୁ ମଙ୍ଗଳ! ଅହୀମାସ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଖ ରେ ମକ୍ସ୍ଟହଁ ମାଡି ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲା। ଅହୀମାସ କହିଲା, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରନ୍ତକ୍ସ୍ଟ। ମାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ସହେିମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କରିଛନ୍ତି, ଯେଉଁମାନେ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ବିରକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ଯାଉଥିଲେ।

29 And the king said, Is it well with the young man Absalom? And Ahimaaz said in answer, When Joab sent me, your servant, I saw a great outcry going on, but I had no knowledge of what it was.ରାଜା ପଚାରିଲେ, ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟବକ ଅବଶା ଲୋମର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ତ?

30 And the king said, Get back and take your place here. So turning to one side, he took his place there.ତା'ପରେ ରାଜା କହିଲେ, ଏଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଳାଇ ଆସ ଓ କିଛି ସମୟ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କର। ଅହୀମାସ ସଠାେରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟାଇ ଅନ୍ୟତ୍ର ଠିଆ ହାଇେ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କଲା।

31 And then the Cushite came and said, I have news for my lord the king: today the Lord has done right in your cause against all those who took up arms against you.ଠିକ୍ ତା'ପରେ ସମୟରେ କୂଶୀଯ ଆସି ପହଞ୍ଚିଲା। ସେ କହିଲା, ମାରେ ପ୍ରଭକ୍ସ୍ଟ ମହାରାଜାଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ସକ୍ସ୍ଟସମ୍ବାଦ ଅଛି। ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଆପଣଙ୍କର ବିରକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧାଚରଣ କରୁଥିଲେ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ଆଜି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଦଣ୍ତିତ କରିଛନ୍ତି।

32 And the king said to the Cushite, Is the young man Absalom safe? And the Cushite said in answer, May all the king's haters and those who do evil against the king, be as that young man is!ରାଜା କୂଶୀଯକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଚାରିଲେ, ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟବକ ଅବଶା ଲୋମର ମଙ୍ଗଳ ତ?

33 Then the king was much moved, and went up into the room over the door, weeping, and saying, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! if only my life might have been given for yours, O Absalom, my son, my son!ଏହାପରେ ରାଜା ଜାଣିଗଲେ ଯେ ଅବଶାଲୋମ ମୃତ। ରାଜା ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଃଖ ରେ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ପଡିଲେ, ସେ ନଗର ଦ୍ବାର ଉପରିସ୍ଥ କୋଠରୀକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ୟାଇ କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ କଲେ। ସେ କଠାେରୀ ରେ ଏପଟରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ସପଟେ କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ କରି କରି ବକ୍ସ୍ଟଲକ୍ସ୍ଟଥାନ୍ତି। ସେ କହକ୍ସ୍ଟଥିଲେ, ହେ ମାରେ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଅବଶା ଲୋମ, ମାରେ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଅବଶା ଲୋମ, ମୁ ଆଶା କରୁଥିଲି ମୁ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ବଦଳ ରେ ମରିଥାନ୍ତି କି! ହାୟ ମାରେ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଅବଶା ଲୋମ ମାରେ ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର, ଅବଶାଲୋମ।
