1 It happened after the death of Saul, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Amalekites, and David had abode two days in Ziklag;ଅମାଲକେୀଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ମାରିସାରିବା ପରେ ଦାଉଦ ସିକ୍ଲଗକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଫରେି ଆସିଲେ। ଏହା ଠିକ୍ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର ମୃତକ୍ସ୍ଟ୍ଯ ପରେ ପରେ, ଦାଉଦ ସଠାେରେ ମାତ୍ର ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଇ ଦିନ ରହିଲେ।

2 it happened on the third day, that behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul, with his clothes torn, and earth on his head: and so it was, when he came to David, that he fell to the earth, and did obeisance.ତା'ପରେ ତୃତୀୟ ଦିନ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର ଛାଉଣୀରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଜଣେ ସୈନ୍ଯ ସିକ୍ଲଗ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆସିଲା। ସେ ଲୋକଟି ଅତ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଃଖିତ ଥିଲା। ତା'ର ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଚିରି ୟାଇଥିଲା ଏବଂ ତା' ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଣ୍ତ ରେ ମାଟି ବୋଳି ହାଇେଥିଲା। ଉକ୍ତ ଲୋକ ଜଣକ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ପାଖକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆସି ଭୂମିଷ୍ଠ ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲା।

3 David said to him, From whence come you? He said to him, Out of the camp of Israel am I escaped.ଦାଉଦ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେଉଁଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆସିଅଛ? ସେ ଲୋକଟି ଦାଉଦଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଉତ୍ତର ଦଇେ କହିଲା, ମୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟ ଛାଉଣୀରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଳାଇ ଆସିଛି।

4 David said to him, How went the matter? Please tell me. He answered, The people are fled from the battle, and many of the people also are fallen and dead; and Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.ଦାଉଦ ସହେି ଲୋକଟିକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଚାରିଲେ, ଏ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ କିଏ ଜିତିଲା?

5 David said to the young man who told him, How know you that Saul and Jonathan his son are dead?ଦାଉଦ ସହେି ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟବ ସୈନିକକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଚାରିଲେ, ଶାଉଲ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଯୋନାଥନ ମୃତକ୍ସ୍ଟ୍ଯବରଣ କଲେ ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେ କିପରି ଜାଣିଲ?

6 The young man who told him said, As I happened by chance on Mount Gilboa, behold, Saul was leaning on his spear; and, behold, the chariots and the horsemen followed hard after him.ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟବକ ଜଣକ କହିଲା, ମୁ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଗିଲ୍ବୋଯ ପର୍ବତ ଉପରେ ଥିଲି, ମୁ ଦେଖିଲି, ଶାଉଲ ନିଜର ବର୍ଚ୍ଛା ଉପରେ ଆଉଜିଛନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ରଥସବୁ ଓ ଅଶ୍ବାରୋହୀମାନେ ତାଙ୍କର ପାଖକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆସକ୍ସ୍ଟଛନ୍ତି।

7 When he looked behind him, he saw me, and called to me. I answered, Here am I.ଶାଉଲ ପଛକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଗ୍ଭହିଁ ମାେତେ ଦେଖିଲେ ଓ ଡାକିଲେ, ମୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ଉତ୍ତର ଦଲେି।

8 He said to me, Who are you? I answered him, I am an Amalekite.ଶାଉଲ ମାେତେ ପଚାରିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କିଏ? ମୁ ଉତ୍ତର ଦଲେି ମୁ ଜଣେ ଅମାଲକେୀଯ ଲୋକ।

9 He said to me, Stand, I pray you, beside me, and kill me; for anguish has taken hold of me, because my life is yet whole in me.ତା'ପରେ ଶାଉଲ କହିଲେ, 'ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମାେତେ ହତ୍ଯା କର। କାରଣ ମୁ ବଡ ୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ପାଉଛି। ତଥାପି ମାେ ପ୍ରାଣ ସଐୂର୍ଣ ରହିଅଛି।'

10 So I stood beside him, and killed him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I took the crown that was on his head, and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them here to my lord.ସେ ଗଭୀର ଭାବରେ ଆହତ ହାଇେଥିଲେ। ମୁ ଜାଣିଲି ସେ ବଞ୍ଚିବେ ନାହିଁ, ତେଣୁ ମୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ମାରିଦଲେି, ତା'ପରେ ମୁ ତାଙ୍କ ମକ୍ସ୍ଟଣ୍ତରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ମକ୍ସ୍ଟକକ୍ସ୍ଟଟ ଓ ବାହକ୍ସ୍ଟରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବାଜକ୍ସ୍ଟ କାଢିଲି, ଏବଂ ମୁ ମାରେ ପ୍ରଭକ୍ସ୍ଟଙ୍କ ନିକଟକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ନଇେ ଆସିଲି।

11 Then David took hold on his clothes, and tore them; and likewise all the men who were with him:ତା'ପରେ ଦାଉଦ ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଃଖ ରେ ନିଜର ବସ୍ତ୍ରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଚିରି ପକାଇଲେ, ଏବଂ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଥିବା ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ମଧ୍ଯ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ପରି କଲେ।

12 and they mourned, and wept, and fasted until even, for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of Yahweh, and for the house of Israel; because they were fallen by the sword.ସମାନେେ ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଃଖ ରେ କାନ୍ଦିଲେ ଏବଂ ସମାନେେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଦିନସାରା କିଛି ଖାଇଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସମାନେେ ଏପରି କଲେ କାରଣ ଯୋନାଥନ ଓ ଶାଉଲ ମୃତକ୍ସ୍ଟ୍ଯବରଣ କଲେ ଏବଂ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କର ବହକ୍ସ୍ଟତ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ହତ ହେଲ। ତେଣୁ ସମାନେେ କାନ୍ଦିଲେ ଓ ଶୋକ ପାଳନ କଲେ।

13 David said to the young man who told him, Whence are you? He answered, I am the son of a foreigner, an Amalekite.ତା'ପରେ, ଦାଉଦ ସହେି ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟବକ ସହିତ କଥା ହେଲ, ୟିଏ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର ମୃତକ୍ସ୍ଟ୍ଯ ବିଷଯ ରେ କହିଥିଲା ଏବଂ ପଚାରିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କେଉଁଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆସିଛ?

14 David said to him, How were you not afraid to put forth your hand to destroy Yahweh's anointed?ତା'ପରେ ଦାଉଦ ତାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ପଚାରିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କିପରି ସାହସ କଲ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ମନୋନୀତ ରାଜାଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ହତ୍ଯା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଭୟ କଲ ନାହିଁ।

15 David called one of the young men, and said, Go near, and fall on him. He struck him, so that he died.ଦାଉଦ ଅମାଲକେୀଯଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ କହିଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମୃତକ୍ସ୍ଟ୍ଯ ପାଇଁ ଦାଯୀ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ନିଜେ କହକ୍ସ୍ଟଛ ଯେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ମନୋନୀତ ରାଜାଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ହତ୍ଯା କରିଛ ବୋଲି। ତେଣୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦୋଷୀ।

16 David said to him, Your blood be on your head; for your mouth has testified against you, saying, I have slain Yahweh's anointed.ଦାଉଦ ତାଙ୍କର ଜଣେ ଦାସଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହି ଅମାଲକେୀଯଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ହତ୍ଯା କର। ତେଣୁ ସେ ଏହି ଅମାଲକେୀଯଙ୍କକ୍ସ୍ଟ ହତ୍ଯା କଲେ।

17 David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his sonଶାଉଲ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ପକ୍ସ୍ଟତ୍ର ଯୋନାଥନ ପାଇଁ ଦାଉଦ ଏକ ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଃଖଦ ଗୀତ ଗାଇଲେ।

18 (and he bade them teach the children of Judah [the song of] the bow: behold, it is written in the book of Jashar):ତା'ପରେ ଦାଉଦ ତାଙ୍କର ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ, ୟିହକ୍ସ୍ଟଦୀଯମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉକ୍ତ ଗୀତ ଗାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଏବଂ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଦବୋ ପାଇଁ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଲେ। ଏହାକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଧନକ୍ସ୍ଟ କକ୍ସ୍ଟହାୟାଏ। ଏହା ୟାଶରେ ପୁସ୍ତକକରେ ଲଖାେଅଛି।

19 Your glory, Israel, is slain on your high places! How are the mighty fallen! ହେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ, ତୁମ୍ଭର ସୌନ୍ଦର୍ୟ୍ଯ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପର୍ବତକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ଦଲୋ। ଦେଖ! କମେିତି ସହେି ବୀରଗଣଙ୍କର ପତନ ହେଲା।

20 Don't tell it in Gath, Don't publish it in the streets of Ashkelon; Lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, Lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.ଗାଥ ସହରକକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଏହି ସମ୍ବାଦ ଦିଅ ନାହିଁ। ଅସ୍କିଲୋନର ଦାଣ୍ତ ରେ ଏହା ପ୍ରଗ୍ଭର କର ନାହିଁ। ଯଦି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏହା କର, ସହେି ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ନଗରଗକ୍ସ୍ଟଡିକ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରିବେ। ସହେି ନଗରର ଅସଭ୍ଯ ପ୍ରତିମା ପୂଜକଗଣ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ହବେ।

21 You mountains of Gilboa, Let there be no dew nor rain on you, neither fields of offerings: For there the shield of the mighty was vilely cast away, The shield of Saul, not anointed with oil.ହେ ଗଲ୍ବୋଯ ପର୍ବତଗଣ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ କାକର କି ବୃଷ୍ଟି ନ ପଡକ୍ସ୍ଟ। ଅଥବା ଉପହାରଜନକ କ୍ଷେତ୍ର ନ ହେଉ। କାରଣ ସଠାେରେ ବୀରମାନଙ୍କର ଢାଲ ଅଦରକାରୀ ପରି ଫିଙ୍ଗି ଦିଆଗଲା। ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର ଢାଲ ତୈଲ ରେ ଅଭିଷିକ୍ତ ହେଲା ନାହିଁ।

22 From the blood of the slain, from the fat of the mighty, The bow of Jonathan didn't turn back, The sword of Saul didn't return empty.ହତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ରକ୍ତରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବୀରମାନଙ୍କ ମଦରେକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଯୋନାଥନର ଧନକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଓ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କର ଖଡ୍ଗ ରିକ୍ତ ହାଇେ ଫେ ରେ ନାହିଁ।

23 Saul and Jonathan were lovely and pleasant in their lives, In their death they were not divided: They were swifter than eagles, They were stronger than lions.ଶାଉଲ ଓ ଯୋନାଥନ ସମାନଙ୍କେ ଜୀବନକାଳ ମଧିଅରେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବହକ୍ସ୍ଟତ ପ୍ ରମେ ପାଇଲେ। ଏପରିକି ମୃତକ୍ସ୍ଟ୍ଯ ସମୟରେ ମଧ୍ଯ ସମାନେେ ଅଲଗା ହେଲେ ନାହିଁ। ସମାନେେ ଉକ୍ରୋଶପକ୍ଷୀଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବଗବୋନ ଓ ସିଂହଠାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବଳବାନ ଥିଲେ।

24 You daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, Who clothed you in scarlet delicately, Who put ornaments of gold on your clothing.ହେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର କନ୍ଯାଗଣ ଶାଉଲଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ କର। ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ସିନ୍ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟରବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ରେ ସକ୍ସ୍ଟନ୍ଦର ରୂପେ ବସ୍ତ୍ରାନ୍ବିତ କଲେ। ସେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଉପରେ ସ୍ବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଅଳଙ୍କାର ଖଚିତ କଲେ।

25 How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! Jonathan is slain on your high places.ବୀରମାନେ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ପତିତ ହେଲ। ଯୋନାଥନ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ରାଜା ପର୍ବତ ରେ ହତ ହେଲ।

26 I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan: Very pleasant have you been to me: Your love to me was wonderful, Passing the love of women.ହେ ମାରେ ଭାଇ ଯୋନାଥନ, ମୁ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ଲାଗି ଦକ୍ସ୍ଟଃଖ କରୁଅଛି। ମୁ ତକ୍ସ୍ଟମ୍ଭ ସହିତ ଥିବାରକ୍ସ୍ଟ ଆନନ୍ଦ ଉପ ଭୋଗ କରୁଅଛି। ମାରେ ପ୍ରତି ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ ରମେ ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ୟ୍ଯ ଓ ତାହା ସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ ରମରେକ୍ସ୍ଟ ବଳିଗଲା।

27 How are the mighty fallen, The weapons of war perished!ବୀରମାନେ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧ ରେ ପତିତ ହେଲ ଏବଂ ୟକ୍ସ୍ଟଦ୍ଧାସ୍ତ୍ରଗକ୍ସ୍ଟଡିକ ଧ୍ବଂସ କରାଗଲା।
