ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ହେଲେ ଓ ନଗର ସୁସ୍ଥିର ହେଲା। ଆଉ ରାଜଗୃହ ନିକଟରେ ଅଥଲିଯା ଖଡ୍ଗ ରେ ନିହତ ହେଲା।

ଅଥଲିଯା ଦେଖିଲେ ରାଜା ବିଧି ଅନୁସାରେ ଯେଉଁଠି ଛିଡା ହବୋ କଥା ସେଠି ଛିଡା ହାଇେଛନ୍ତି। ରାଜାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ସନୋପତିମାନେ ଥିଲେ, ଲୋକମାନେ ତୂରୀ ବଜାଉଥିଲେ। ଦେଶର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ଆନନ୍ଦ କରୁଥିଲେ। ଏଥି ରେ ଅଥଲିଯା ନିଜର ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଚିରି ରାଜଦ୍ରୋହ! ରାଜଦ୍ରୋହ! ବୋଲି ଚିତ୍କାର କଲା।

ଯିହୁଦାର ସବୁ ଲୋକ ଅତ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ଥିଲେ ଓ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ନଗର ରେ ଶାନ୍ତି ବିରାଜିଲା, କାରଣ ଅଥଲିଯା ଖଡ୍ଗ ଦ୍ବାରା ନିହତ ହାଇେଥିଲେ।
