1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great train, and camels that bare spices, and gold in abundance, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.ଶିବାର ରାଣୀ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କର ସୁଖ୍ଯାତି ବିଷଯ ରେ ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ପାଇଲେ। ତେଣୁ ସେ କଠିନ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ଦ୍ବାରା ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ଆସିଲେ। ଶିବାର ରାଣୀଙ୍କ ସହିତ ତାଙ୍କ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଏକ ବୃହତ୍ ଦଳ ଥିଲା। ତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମସଲା, ପ୍ରଚୁର ସୁନା ଓ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ଯ ପଥର ରେ ଲଦି ହାଇେଥିବା ଓଟମାନେ ଥିଲେ। ସେ ଶ ଲୋମନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିଲେ ଓ ସେ ଯେଉଁ ବିଷଯ ରେ ଆଲୋଚନା କରିବାକୁ ଚାହୁଁଥିଲେ, ସେ ବିଷଯ ରେ ପଚାରିଲେ। ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କୁ ପଚାରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଅନକେ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ଥିଲା।

2 And Solomon told her all her questions; and there was not anything hid from Solomon which he told her not.ଶଲୋମନ ତାଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନର ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଲେ। ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଉତ୍ତର ଦବୋ କିମ୍ବା ବୁଝାଇ ଦବୋ ପାଇଁ କୌଣସି କଠିନ ବିଷଯ ନ ଥିଲା।

3 And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built,ଶିବାର ରାଣୀ ଶ ଲୋମନଙ୍କର ଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ ତାଙ୍କ ନିର୍ମିତ ଗୃହ ଦେଖିଲେ।

4 and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, his cupbearers also, and their apparel, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of Jehovah; there was no more spirit in her.ସେ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ମଜେ ଉପରେ ରଖା ଯାଉଥିବା ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ଅନକେ ବିଶଷେ କର୍ମଚାରୀଗଣଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଲେ। ସେ ତାଙ୍କର ଚାକରମାନଙ୍କର ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଓ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯ କରିବାର ପ୍ରଣାଳୀ ଦେଖିଲେ। ସେ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କର ମଦ୍ଯ ପରିବଷେଣକାରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ସମାନଙ୍କେର ବସ୍ତ୍ରକୁ ଦେଖିଲେ। ସେ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିର ରେ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗୀକୃତ ହାମବେଳିଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଦେଖିଲେ। ଶିବାର ରାଣୀ ଯେତବେେଳେ ଏହିସବୁ ବିଷଯ ଦେଖିଲେ, ସେ ହତଚକିତ ହାଇଗେଲେ।

5 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thine acts, and of thy wisdom.ଏହାପରେ ସେ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ମୁଁ ମାେ ଦେଶ ରେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ମହାନ୍ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯାବଳୀ ଓ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଜ୍ଞାନ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧ ରେ ଯାହା ଶୁଣିଥିଲି, ତାହା ସତ୍ଯ ଅଟେ।

6 Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it; and, behold, the half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: thou exceedest the fame that I heard.ମୁଁ ଏହି ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ନ ଆସିବା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଓ ନିଜ ଚକ୍ଷୁ ରେ ନ ଦେଖିବା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ସହେି ଗଳ୍ପଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରୁ ନ ଥିଲି। ଓଃ, ଆପଣଙ୍କ ମହାନ୍ ଜ୍ଞାନର ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧକେ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ମାେତେ କୁହାୟାଇ ନ ଥଲା। ମୁଁ ଯେଉଁ ସମସ୍ତ ଗଳ୍ପ ଶୁଣିଥିଲି। ଆପଣ ସେ ସବୁଥିରୁ ଆହୁରି ଅଧିକ ମହାନ୍ ଅଟନ୍ତି।

7 Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, that stand continually before thee, and hear thy wisdom.ତୁମ୍ଭର ଲୋକମାନେ ଓ ସବେକଗଣ ଅତ୍ଯନ୍ତ ସୌଭାଗ୍ଯଶାଳୀ ଅଟନ୍ତି। ସମାନେେ ଆପଣଙ୍କର ସବୋ କରିବା ସମୟରେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଜ୍ଞାନର କଥା ଶୁଣିପାରିବେ।

8 Blessed be Jehovah thy God, who delighted in thee, to set thee on his throne, to be king for Jehovah thy God: because thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do justice and righteousness.ଆପଣଙ୍କର ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ପ୍ରଶଂସିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତୁ। ସେ ଆପଣଙ୍କଠା ରେ ପ୍ରସନ୍ନ ଅଟନ୍ତି ଓ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ସବୋ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଏହି ସିଂହାସନ ରେ ଉପବିଷ୍ଟ କରାଇଅଛନ୍ତି। ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲକୁ ପ୍ ରମେ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ଅନନ୍ତକାଳ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ସପକ୍ଷ ଅଟନ୍ତି। ସେଥିନିମନ୍ତେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଉତ୍ତମ ଓ ଯଥାର୍ଥ କର୍ମ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ରାଜା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।

9 And she gave the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices in great abundance, and precious stones: neither was there any such spice as the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.ଏହାପରେ ଶିବାର ରାଣୀ ରାଜା ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କୁ 120 ତାଳନ୍ତ ସୁନା, ପ୍ରଚୁର ପରିମାଣର ମସଲା ଓ ମୂଲ୍ଯବାନ ପ୍ରସ୍ତରମାନ ପ୍ରଦାନ କଲେ। ଶିବାର ରାଣୀଙ୍କ ପରି କୌଣସି ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କୁ ଏ ପ୍ରକାର ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ମସଲା ଦଇେ ନ ଥିଲା।

10 And the servants also of Huram, and the servants of Solomon, that brought gold from Ophir, brought algum-trees and precious stones.ହୂରମ୍ଙ୍କ ଦାସ ଓ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ଦାସମାନେ ଓଫୀରକୁ ସୁନା ଆଣିଲେ। ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ଯ, ସମାନେେ ଆଲ୍ଗମ୍ କାଠ ଓ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ଯ ପଥରସବୁ ଆଣିଲେ।

11 And the king made of the algum-trees terraces for the house of Jehovah, and for the king's house, and harps and psalteries for the singers: and there were none such seen before in the land of Judah.ରାଜା ଶ ଲୋମନ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରର ପହାଚ ଓ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆଲ୍ଗମ୍ କାଠକୁ ବ୍ଯବହାର କଲେ। ଶଲୋମନ ଗାଯକମାନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ବୀଣା ଓ ସାରଙ୍ଗ ବାଦ୍ଯ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଆଲ୍ଗମ୍ କାଠ ବ୍ଯବହାର କଲେ। ଯିହୁଦା ଦେଶର କୌଣସି ବ୍ଯକ୍ତି ଆଲ୍ଗମ୍ କାଠରୁ ଏପ୍ରକାର ସୁନ୍ଦର ବସ୍ତ୍ର ନିର୍ମିତ ହବୋ ପୂର୍ବରୁ କବେେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଦେଖି ନ ଥିଲେ।

12 And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, besides that which she had brought unto the king. So she turned, and went to her own land, she and her servants.ଶିବାର ରାଣୀ ରାଜା ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କୁ ଯାହାକିଛି ମାଗିଲେ, ସେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ସହେି ସମସ୍ତ ପ୍ରଦାନ କଲେ। ଶିବାରା ରାଣୀ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଦବୋ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଯେଉଁସବୁ ବସ୍ତୁ ଆଣିଥିଲେ, ଶଲୋମନ ତାହାଠାରୁ ଅଧିକ ପରିମାଣ ରେ ବସ୍ତୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ଶିବାର ରାଣୀ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ଦାସମାନେ ନିଜ ଦେଶକୁ ଫରେିଗଲେ।

13 Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold,ଏକ ବର୍ଷ ମଧିଅରେ ଶଲୋମନ ଯେତେ ପରିମାଣ ରେ ସୁନା ପାଇଥିଲେ, ତାହାର ଓଜନ 666 ତାଳନ୍ତ ହେଲା।

14 besides that which the traders and merchants brought: and all the kings of Arabia and the governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.ଭ୍ରମଣକାରୀ ବଣିକ ଓ ବ୍ଯବସାଯୀମାନେ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆହୁରି ସୁନା ଆଣିଲେ। ଆରବର ସମସ୍ତ ରାଜାଗଣ ଓ ଦେଶର ଶାସକଗଣ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ସୁନା ଓ ରୂପା ନଇେ ଆସିଲେ।

15 And king Solomon made two hundred bucklers of beaten gold; six hundred `shekels' of beaten gold went to one buckler.ଶ ଲୋମନ ପିଟା ସୁନାରୁ 200 ବୃହତ୍ ଢ଼ାଲ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକଟି ଢ଼ାଲ ନିମନ୍ତେ 600 ଶକେଲ ପିଟା ସୁନା ବ୍ଯବହୃତ ହାଇେଥିଲା।

16 And `he made' three hundred shields of beaten gold; three hundred `shekels' of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ଯ ଶଲୋମନ ପିଟା ସୁନାରୁ 300ଟି କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ର ଢ଼ାଲ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ଢ଼ାଲ ନିମନ୍ତେ 300 ଶକେଲ ସୁନା ବ୍ଯବହୃତ ହାଇେଥିଲା। ରାଜା ଶଲୋମନ ଲିବାନୋନର ଅରଣ୍ଯ ନାମକ ଗୃହ ରେ ଏହି ସୁବର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଢ଼ାଲଗୁଡ଼ିକ ରଖିଲେ।

17 Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.ରାଜା ଶଲୋମନ ଏକ ବୃହତ୍ ସିଂହାସନ ନିର୍ମାଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ହାତୀଦାନ୍ତର ବ୍ଯବହାର କଲେ। ସେ ସହେି ସିଂହାସନକୁ ଖାଣ୍ଟି ସୁନା ଦ୍ବାରା ଆବୃତ କଲେ।

18 nd there were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and stays on either side by the place of the seat, and two lions standing beside the stays.ସହେି ଛଅ ଗୋଟି ପାହାଚ ସିଂହାସନ ନିକଟକୁ ରାସ୍ତା କଢ଼ାଇ ନଲୋ। ସୁନା ରେ ନିର୍ମିତ ଏକ ପାଦପୀଠ ତାହାର ଥିଲା। ସିଂହାସନର ଆସନର ଉଭୟ ପାଶର୍‌ବ ରେ ବାହୁଭରାମାନ ଥିଲା। ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ବାହୁଭରାର ପାଶର୍‌ବ ରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଲଖାଏଁେ ସିଂହମୂର୍ତ୍ତି ଦଣ୍ଡାଯମାନ ଥିଲା।

19 And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom.ଛଅ ଗୋଟି ପାହାଚ ରେ ବାର ଗୋଟି ସିଂହଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତିମୂର୍ତ୍ତି ଥିଲା। ପ୍ରେତ୍ୟକକ ପାହାଚର ଶଷେ ରେ ଗୋଟିଏ ସିଂହ ଥିଲା। ଅନ୍ୟ କୌଣସି ରାଜ୍ଯ ରେ ଏ ପ୍ରକାର ସିଂହାସନ ନିର୍ମିତ ହାଇେ ନ ଥିଲା।

20 And all king Solomon's drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold: silver was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon.ରାଜା ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କର ସମସ୍ତ ପାନପାତ୍ର ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ନିର୍ମିତ ହାଇେଥିଲା। ଲିବାନୋନର ଅରଣ୍ଯସ୍ଥିତ ଗୃହର ସମସ୍ତ ଗୃହୋପକରଣ ଖାଣ୍ଟି ସୁନା ରେ ନିର୍ମିତ ହାଇେଥିଲା। ଶ ଲୋମନଙ୍କ ସମୟରେ ରୂପା ଏକ ବହୁମୂଲ୍ଯ ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯରୂପେ ଗଣ୍ଯ ହେଉ ନ ଥିଲା।

21 For the king had ships that went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram; once every three years came the ships of Tarshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.ରାଜା ଶ ଲୋମନଙ୍କର ଜାହାଜମାନ ଥିଲା, ଯେଉଁଗୁଡ଼ିକ କି ତର୍ଶୀଶକୁ ଯାଉଥିଲା। ହୂରମ୍ଙ୍କ ଲୋକମାନେ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ଜାହାଜର ନାବିକ ଥିଲେ। ପ୍ରତି ତିନିବର୍ଷ ରେ ଥରେ ସହେି ଜାହାଜଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ସୁନା, ରୂପା, ହାତୀଦାନ୍ତ, ମାଙ୍କଡ଼ ଓ ମଯୁରମାନ ବହି ଆଣୁଥିଲେ।

22 So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.ରାଜା ଶଲୋମନ ପୃଥିବୀସ୍ଥ ଅନ୍ୟ ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଧନସମ୍ପଦ ଓ ଜ୍ଞାନ ରେ ଅତ୍ଯନ୍ତ ମହାନ୍ ହାଇେ ଉଠିଲେ।

23 And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.ପୃଥିବୀର ସମସ୍ତ ରାଜାଗଣ ଶ ଲୋମନଙ୍କୁ ସାକ୍ଷାତ କରିବାକୁ ଓ ତାଙ୍କର ଜ୍ଞାନପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବିଚାର ଶୁଣିବା ପାଇଁ ଆସିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ। ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କୁ ସହେିପରି ଜ୍ଞାନ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲେ।

24 And they brought every man his tribute, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and raiment, armor, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.ପ୍ରତି ବର୍ଷ ସହେି ରାଜାମାନେ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଉପହାରମାନ ନଇେ ଆସୁଥିଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସୁନା, ରୂପା ଦ୍ରବ୍ଯ, ବସ୍ତ୍ର, ୟୁଦ୍ଧସାଜ, ମଶାଲ, ଅଶ୍ବଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଓ ଖଚରମାନ ଆଣିଲେ।

25 And Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, that he bestowed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.ଅଶ୍ବ ଓ ରଥମାନଙ୍କୁ ରଖବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କର 4 ,000 ଅଶ୍ବଶାଳା ଥିଲା। ତାଙ୍କର 12,000 ରଥଚାଳକ ଥିଲେ। ଶଲୋମନ ସମାନଙ୍କେୁ ତାଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗ ରେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ଓ ରଥ ନିମନ୍ତେ ନିର୍ମିତ ବିଶଷେ ନଗରଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ରଖିଲେ।

26 And he ruled over all the kings from the River even unto the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.ଫରାତ୍ ନଦୀଠାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ଦେଶ ଓ ମିଶରର ସୀମା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ସମସ୍ତ ଦେଶ ଉପରେ ଶଲୋମନ ରାଜା ଥିଲେ।

27 And the king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he to be as the sycomore-trees that are in the lowland, for abundance.ରୂପାର ପରିମାଣ ଏତେ ଥିଲା ଯେ, ତାହା ୟିରୁଶାଲମର ଗୋଡ଼ି, ପଥର ତୁଲ୍ଯ ଥିଲା। ଆଉ, ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଏତେ ପରିମାଣର ଦବଦୋରୁ କାଠ ଥିଲା ଯେ, ତାହା ଡ଼ିମ୍ବିରିଗଛ ତୁଲ୍ଯ ଥିଲା, ଯାହା ମାଳଭୂମିରେ ୟଥେଷ୍ଟ ପରିମାଣ ରେ ବଢ଼େ।

28 And they brought horses for Solomon out of Egypt, and out of all lands.ଲୋକମାନେ ମିଶର ଓ ଅନ୍ଯାନ୍ଯ ଦେଶମାନଙ୍କରୁ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଅଶ୍ବମାନ ଆଣିଲେ।

29 Now the rest of the acts of Solomon, first and last, are they not written in the history of Nathan the prophet, and in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite, and in the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam the son of Nebat?ଶଲୋମନ କରିଥିବା ଅନ୍ଯାନ୍ଯ କାର୍ୟ୍ଯସକଳ ଭବଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ନାଥନଙ୍କ ଲଖାେସବୁ, ଶୀଲୋନୀଯ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତା, ଅହିଯଙ୍କର ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବାଣୀ ଓ ଭବିଷ୍ଯଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ଇଦୋଙ୍କର ଦର୍ଶନ ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଶଷେ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ଲଖାୟୋଇ ଅଛି। ଇଦ୍ଦୋ ୟିଏ ନବାଟଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ୟାରବିଯାମ୍ଙ୍କ ବିଷଯ ରେ ଲେଖିଛନ୍ତି।

30 And Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.ଶଲୋମନ ସମଗ୍ର ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲ ଉପରେ ୟିରୁଶାଲମ ରେ ଚାଳିଶ ବର୍ଷ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ରାଜା ହାଇେ ରହିଲେ।

31 And Solomon slept with his fathers, and he was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.ଏହାପରେ, ଶଲୋମନ ତାଙ୍କର ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ବିଶ୍ରାମ ନେଲେ। ଲୋକମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ତାଙ୍କର ପିତା ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ନଗର ରେ କବର ଦେଲେ। ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ସ୍ଥାନ ରେ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ରିହବିଯାମ୍ ନୂତନ ରାଜା ହେଲ।
