ସେ ଘସା ଓ ତହିଁର ସୀମା ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ପ୍ରହରୀମାନଙ୍କ ଦୁର୍ଗ ଅବଧି ପ୍ରାଚୀରବେଷ୍ଟିତ ବଡ ଓ େଛାଟ ନଗରଗୁଡିକ ପର୍ୟ୍ଯନ୍ତ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କଲେ।

ହେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଦେଶ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ପାଇଁ ଖୁସି ହୁଅ ନାହିଁ। କାରଣ ଯେଉଁ ରାଜା ପ୍ରହାର କରୁଥିଲେ ସେ ଆଉ ନାହାନ୍ତି। ମାତ୍ର ପ୍ରକୃତ ରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସୁଖୀ ହାଇପୋରିବ ନାହିଁ। ଏହା ସତ୍ଯ ଯେ ସହେି ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଶାସନ ଶଷେ ହାଇେଛି। ମାତ୍ର ସହେି ରାଜାର ସନ୍ତାନ ଆସି ଶାସନ କରିବ। ଗୋଟିଏ ସର୍ପ ଆଉ ଏକ ଭୟଙ୍କର ସର୍ପକୁ ଜନ୍ମ ଦଲୋପରି ଏହା ସତ ହବେ। ସହେି ନୂତନ ରାଜା ଉଡ଼ନ୍ତା ସର୍ପ ପରି ଅଳ୍ପ ଭୟଙ୍କର ହବେ ନାହିଁ।

ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯିହୁଦାର ମାଳଭୂମିରେ ଓ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ରେ ଥିବା ସହରଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଉପରେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଆକ୍ରମଣ କଲେ। ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ବୈଥ୍-ଶମେଶ୍, ଅଯାଲୋନ୍, ଗଦରେୋତ୍, ସୋଖୋ, ତିମ୍ନାହ ଓ ଗିମ୍ସୋ ସହରଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଅଧିକାର କରି ନେଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସୋସ, ତିମନା ଓ ଗିମତ ଚତୁଃପାଶର୍ବ ରେ ଥିବା ଗ୍ରାମଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ମଧ୍ଯ ଅଧିକାର କଲେ। ଏହାପରେ ପଲେଷ୍ଟୀୟମାନେ ସହେି ସହରଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ବାସ କରିବାକୁ ଲାଗିଲେ।

ହିଜକିଯ ଯିହୁଦାର ରାଜା ଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଏହା ଘଟିଲା। ସହେି ଲୋକମାନେ ଗଦୋରକୁ ଆସିଲେ ଓ ହାମ୍ଙ୍କ ବଂଶଧରମାନଙ୍କ ବିରୁଦ୍ଧ ରେ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ହମାତୀଯ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର ତମ୍ବୁସବୁ ନଷ୍ଟ କରି ଦେଲେ। ସହେି ଲୋକମାନେ ସଠାେରେ ବାସ କରୁଥିବା ମିଯନୀଯ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ମଧ୍ଯ ୟୁଦ୍ଧ କଲେ। ସମାନେେ ସମସ୍ତେ ମିଯନୀଯ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିନାଶ କଲେ। ଆଜି ମଧ୍ଯ ସଠାେରେ କୌଣସି ମିଯନୀଯ ଲୋକ ନାହାନ୍ତି। ତେଣୁ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନେ ସଠାେରେ ବସବାସ କରିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କଲେ।

ଉଷିୟ ମରୁଭୂମି ମଧିଅରେ ଦୁର୍ଗମାନ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲେ। ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ଯ, ସେ ଅନକେ କୂପ ଖାେଳିଲେ। ପାର୍ବତ୍ଯମଯ ଦେଶ ଓ ସମତଳ ଭୂମିରେ ତାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରଚୁର ପଶୁପଲ ଥିଲା। ପାର୍ବତ୍ଯାଞ୍ଚଳ ଓ ଉତ୍ତମ ଶସ୍ଯ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ ହେଉଥିବା ସ୍ଥାନମାନଙ୍କ ରେ ଉଷିୟଙ୍କର କୃଷକମାନେ ଥିଲେ। ଅଙ୍ଗୁରକ୍ଷେତ୍ର ଗୁଡ଼ିକର ଯତ୍ନ ନବୋ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସେ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିୟୁକ୍ତି କଲେ। ସେ କୃଷିକର୍ମକୁ ଭଲ ପାଉଥିଲେ।

ସମାରପ୍ରିଯତମ କ୍ଷଲତଟିକୁସଖାଳି ପଥର ପରିଷ୍କାର କଲଲ।ସସଥିସର ଅତି ଉତ୍ତମ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାଲତାସରାପଣ କଲଲ।ସସ କ୍ଷଲତର ମଧ୍ଯଭାଗସରସଗାଟିଏ ସୁନ୍ଦର ଏବଂ ଉଚ୍ଚଗୃହ ନିର୍ମାଣ କଲଲ ଏବଂସସ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକୁଣ୍ଡ ତିଆରି କଲଲ।ସସ ଭଲ ଅଙ୍ଗୁର ଧରିବା ପାଇଁ ଅପଲକ୍ଷା କଲଲ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଉତ୍ତମ ପରିବର୍ଲତ ବନ୍ଯ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାଫଳ ଫଳିଲା।
