ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଆରମ୍ଭରୁ ଯାହା ଶିକ୍ଷା ପାଇଛ, ତାହା ପାଳନ କର। ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ସହେି ଶିକ୍ଷା ଅନୁଯାଯୀ ଜୀବନ କାଟିବ, ତବେେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପିତା ପରମେଶ୍ବର ଓ ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କଠା ରେ ରହିବ।
Job 16 in Tamil and English
1 ਅੱਯੂਬ ਦਾ ਅਲੀਫਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਜਵਾਬ ਫੇਰ ਅੱਯੂਬ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਮੈਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ:
Then Job answered and said,
2 “ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਆਰਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ।
I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are ye all.
3 ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲੰਮੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਕਦੇ ਖਤਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਹਿਸ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਰੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ।
Shall vain words have an end? or what emboldeneth thee that thou answerest?
4 ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ, ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹੋ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸਿਆਣੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਿਰ ਹਿਲਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਸੀ।
I also could speak as ye do: if your soul were in my soul’s stead, I could heap up words against you, and shake mine head at you.
5 ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਮੀਦ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਸੀ।
But I would strengthen you with my mouth, and the moving of my lips should asswage your grief.
6 “ਪਰ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਰਦ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ। ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਖਾਮੋਸ਼ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਕੁਝ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Though I speak, my grief is not asswaged: and though I forbear, what am I eased?
7 ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਹੀ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਖੋਹ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
But now he hath made me weary: thou hast made desolate all my company.
8 ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਤਲਾ ਤੇ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਇਹੀ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਨੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹਾਂ।
And thou hast filled me with wrinkles, which is a witness against me: and my leanness rising up in me beareth witness to my face.
9 “ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਹਿਰਵਾਨ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਟੋਟੇ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਦੰਦ ਕਰੀਚ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
He teareth me in his wrath, who hateth me: he gnasheth upon me with his teeth; mine enemy sharpeneth his eyes upon me.
10 ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਨੇ। ਉਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਉਡਾਉਂਦੇ ਨੇ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਚਪੇੜਾਂ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਨੇ।
They have gaped upon me with their mouth; they have smitten me upon the cheek reproachfully; they have gathered themselves together against me.
11 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਦ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬੁਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
God hath delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked.
12 ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਰ ਗੱਲ ਬੜੀ ਠੀਕ ਠਾਕ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਫੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੁਚਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਹਾਂ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗਰਦਨ ਤੋਂ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਟੋਟੇ-ਟੋਟੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੇਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਲਈ ਵਰਤਿਆ।
I was at ease, but he hath broken me asunder: he hath also taken me by my neck, and shaken me to pieces, and set me up for his mark.
13 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਤੀਰ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੀਰ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਕੋਈ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ। ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤ੍ਤ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੋਢ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
His archers compass me round about, he cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare; he poureth out my gall upon the ground.
14 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬਾਰ-ਬਾਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚਲੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਟੁੱਟ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
He breaketh me with breach upon breach, he runneth upon me like a giant.
15 “ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਦੇ ਇਹ ਬਸਤਰ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਘੱਟੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਆਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
I have sewed sackcloth upon my skin, and defiled my horn in the dust.
16 ਰੋ-ਰੋ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਲਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਕਾਲੇ ਘੇਰੇ ਨੇ।
My face is foul with weeping, and on my eyelids is the shadow of death;
17 ਮੈਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਾਲਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਾਂ ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਮਾੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ। ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾਵਾਂ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਤੇ ਧਰਮੀ ਹਨ।
Not for any injustice in mine hands: also my prayer is pure.
18 “ਧਰਤੀਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਾੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਪਾ ਨਾ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸੀ। ਕਾਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਿਰਪੱਖਤਾ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅਰਜੋਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੀਂ।
O earth, cover not thou my blood, and let my cry have no place.
19 ਹੁਣ ਵੀ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਲੇਗਾ। ਉੱਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਸਾਖੀ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
Also now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high.
20 ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਦ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੰਝੂ ਕੇਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ।
My friends scorn me: but mine eye poureth out tears unto God.
21 ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੋਸਤ ਲਈ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbour!
22 “ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਬੋੜੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਬਵੇਂ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰਤਦਾ।
When a few years are come, then I shall go the way whence I shall not return.

17 ਮੈਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਾਲਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਾਂ ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਮਾੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ। ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾਵਾਂ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਤੇ ਧਰਮੀ ਹਨ।
Not for any injustice in mine hands: also my prayer is pure.
18 “ਧਰਤੀਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਾੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਪਾ ਨਾ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸੀ। ਕਾਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਿਰਪੱਖਤਾ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅਰਜੋਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੀਂ।
O earth, cover not thou my blood, and let my cry have no place.
19 ਹੁਣ ਵੀ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਲੇਗਾ। ਉੱਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਸਾਖੀ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
Also now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high.
20 ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਦ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੰਝੂ ਕੇਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ।
My friends scorn me: but mine eye poureth out tears unto God.
21 ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੋਸਤ ਲਈ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbour!
22 “ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਬੋੜੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਬਵੇਂ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰਤਦਾ।
When a few years are come, then I shall go the way whence I shall not return.
