1 Corinthians 7:11
ଯେ ପତ୍ନୀ ନିଜ ପତିରକୁ କବେେ ହେଲେ ଛାଡ଼ିବା ଉଚିତ ନୁହେଁ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ପତ୍ନୀ ପତିକୁ ଛାଡ଼େ, ତା' ହେଲେ ପୁନଃ ବିବାହ ନ କରି ରହିବା ଉଚିତ୍ ବା ନିଜ ପତି ସହିତ ମିଶି ୟିବା ଉଚିତ୍। ଠିକ୍ ସହେିଭଳି ପତି ମଧ୍ଯ ନିଜ ପତ୍ନୀକୁ ଛାଡ଼ପତ୍ର ଦବୋ ଉଚିତ୍ ନୁହେଁ।

ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହିକଥା କୁହନ୍ତି, ହେ ଇଶ୍ରାୟେଲର ପୁତ୍ରଗଣ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ଭାବୁଛ ଆମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ମାତା ୟିରୁଶାଲମକୁ ତ୍ଯାଗ କରିଅଛୁ। ପ୍ରମାଣ ସ୍ବରୂପ ସେ ଛାଡ଼ପତ୍ର କାହିଁ ଅଥବା ଆମ୍ଭ ମହାଜନମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ଯରୁ କାହା ନିକଟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ବିକ୍ରଯ କରିଅଛୁ ? ଏଠା ରେ ଦେଖ, ତୁମ୍ଭମାନେେ ନିଜର ଅପରାଧ ପାଇଁ ବିକ୍ରୀ ହାଇେଥିଲ ଏବଂ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପାପ ପାଇଁ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ମାତା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରିତ୍ଯକ୍ତା ହାଇେଥିଲେ।
Jeremiah 3:1
ଯଦି କୌଣସି ପୁରୁଷ ତା'ର ସ୍ତ୍ରୀକୁ ପରିତ୍ଯାଗ କରେ ଓ ସେ ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ତାକୁ ତ୍ଯାଗ କରି ଅନ୍ୟ ପୁରୁଷକୁ ବିବାହ କରେ ତବେେ ତା'ର ସ୍ବାମୀ କ'ଣ ପୁନର୍ବାର ତାହା ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିବ ? ଯଦି ସେ ଲୋକ ପୁନର୍ବାର ତାହା ନିକଟକୁ ଆସିବ ତବେେ ସହେି ଦେଶ ଅତ୍ଯନ୍ତ 'ଅଶୁଚି' ହବେ। ହେ ଯିହୁଦା, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅନକେ ଉପପତି ସଙ୍ଗେ ବ୍ଯଭିଚାର କରିଅଛ। ଆଉ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଆମ୍ଭ ନିକଟକୁ ଫରେି ଆସିବାକୁ ଚାହୁଁଛ। ଏହା ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ କହନ୍ତି।
