எண்ணாகமம் 30
1 மோசே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய கோத்திரங்களின் தலைவரை நோக்கி: கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிடுவது என்னவென்றால்:
2 ஒருவன் கர்த்தருக்கு யாதொரு பொருத்தனை பண்ணினாலும், அல்லது யாதொரு காரியத்தைச் செய்யும்படி ஆணையிட்டுத் தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்திக்கொண்டாலும், அவன் சொல்தவறாமல் தன் வாயிலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட வாக்கின்படியெல்லாம் செய்யக்கடவன்.
3 தன் தகப்பன் வீட்டிலிருக்கிற ஒரு பெண் பிள்ளை தன் சிறுவயதிலே கர்த்தருக்குப் பொருத்தனைபண்ணி யாதொரு காரியத்தைச் செய்யும்படி தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்திக்கொண்டால்,
4 அவள் செய்த பொருத்தனையையும், அவள் பண்ணிக்கொண்ட நிபந்தனையையும் அவளுடைய தகப்பன் கேட்டும் அவளுக்கு ஒன்றும் சொல்லாதிருப்பானானால், அவள் செய்த எல்லாப் பொருத்தனைகளும் அவள் தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்திக்கொண்ட நிபந்தனையும் நிறைவேறவேண்டும்.
5 அவள் செய்த பொருத்தனைகளையும், அவள் செய்யும்படி தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்தின நிபந்தனையையும் அவளுடைய தகப்பன் கேட்கிற நாளிலே அவன் வேண்டாம் என்று தடுத்தால், அது நிறைவேறவேண்டியதில்லை; அவளுடைய தகப்பன் வேண்டாம் என்று தடுத்தபடியால், கர்த்தர் அதை அவளுக்கு மன்னிப்பார்.
6 அவள் பொருத்தனை பண்ணும்போதும், தன் உதடுகளைத் திறந்து தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்திக்கொள்ளும்போதும், அவளுக்குப் புருஷன் இருந்தால்,
7 அப்பொழுது அவளுடைய புருஷன் அதைக் கேட்டிருந்தும், அதைக் கேள்விப்படுகிற நாளிலே அவளுக்கு ஒன்றும் சொல்லாதிருந்தால், அவளுடைய பொருத்தனைகளும் அவள் தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்தின நிபந்தனையும் நிறைவேறவேண்டும்.
8 அவளுடைய புருஷன் அதைக் கேட்கிற நாளில் அவன் வேண்டாம் என்று தடுத்து, அவள் செய்த பொருத்தனையும் அவள் தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்திக்கொண்ட நிபந்தனையும் செல்லாதபடி செய்தானேயானால், அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் அதை அவளுக்கு மன்னிப்பார்.
9 ஒரு விதவையாவது, தள்ளப்பட்டுப்போன ஒரு ஸ்திரீயாவது தன் ஆத்துமாவை எந்த நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்திக்கொள்ளுகிறாளோ அந்த நிபந்தனை நிறைவேறவேண்டும்.
10 அவள் தன் புருஷனுடைய வீட்டில் யாதொரு பொருத்தனை பண்ணினாலும், அல்லது யாதொரு காரியத்தைச் செய்யும்படி ஆணையிட்டுத் தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்திக்கொண்டாலும்,
11 அவளுடைய புருஷன் அதைக் கேட்டும் அவளுக்கு அதை வேண்டாமென்று தடுக்காமல் மவுனமாயிருந்தால், அவள் செய்த எல்லாப் பொருத்தனைகளும், அவள் தன் ஆத்துமாவை நிபந்தனைக்குட்படுத்தின எல்லா நிபந்தனைகளும் நிறைவேறவேண்டும்.
12 அவளுடைய புருஷன் அவைகளைக்கேட்ட நாளில் அவைகளைச் செல்லாதபடி பண்ணினால், அப்பொழுது அவள் செய்த பொருத்தனைகளும், அவள் தன் ஆத்துமாவையுட்படுத்தின நிபந்தனையைக்குறித்து அவள் வாயிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டதொன்றும் நிறைவேறவேண்டியதில்லை; அவளுடைய புருஷன் அவைகளைச் செல்லாதபடி பண்ணினதினாலே கர்த்தர் அதை அவளுக்கு மன்னிப்பார்.
13 எந்தப் பொருத்தனையையும் ஆத்துமாவைத் தாழ்மைப்படுத்தும்படி செய்யப்பட்ட எந்த ஆணையையும், அவளுடைய புருஷன் ஸ்திரப்படுத்தவுங்கூடும், செல்லாதபடி பண்ணவும் கூடும்.
14 அவளுடைய புருஷன் ஒருநாளும் அவளுக்கு ஒன்றும் சொல்லாதிருந்தானாகில், அவன் அவளுடைய எல்லாப் பொருத்தனைகளையும், அவள்பேரிலிருக்கிற அவளுடைய எல்லா நிபந்தனைகளையும் ஸ்திரப்படுத்துகிறான்; அவன் அதைக் கேட்ட நாளிலே அவளுக்கு ஒன்றும் சொல்லாமற் போனதினால், அவைகளை ஸ்திரப்படுத்துகிறான்.
15 அவன் அவைகளைக் கேட்டபின்பு செல்லாதபடி பண்ணினால், அவளுடைய அக்கிரமத்தை அவன் சுமப்பான் என்றார்.
1 And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded.
2 If a man vow a vow unto the Lord, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.
3 If a woman also vow a vow unto the Lord, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father’s house in her youth;
4 And her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.
5 But if her father disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the Lord shall forgive her, because her father disallowed her.
6 And if she had at all an husband, when she vowed, or uttered ought out of her lips, wherewith she bound her soul;
7 And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
8 But if her husband disallowed her on the day that he heard it; then he shall make her vow which she vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips, wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the Lord shall forgive her.
9 But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, wherewith they have bound their souls, shall stand against her.
10 And if she vowed in her husband’s house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath;
11 And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and disallowed her not: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
12 But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the day he heard them; then whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the Lord shall forgive her.
13 Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.
14 But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he confirmeth them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them.
15 But if he shall any ways make them void after that he hath heard them; then he shall bear her iniquity.

1 பிலேயாம் பாலாகை நோக்கி: நீர் இங்கே எனக்கு ஏழு பலிபீடங்களைக் கட்டி, ஏழு காளைகளையும் ஏழு ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களையும் இங்கே எனக்கு ஆயத்தப்படுத்தும் என்றான்.
And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams.
2 பிலேயாம் சொன்னபடியே பாலாக் செய்தான்; பாலாகும் பிலேயாமும் ஒவ்வொரு பீடத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு காளையையும் ஒவ்வொரு ஆட்டுக்கடாவையும் பலியிட்டார்கள்.
And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram.
3 பின்பு பிலேயாம் பாலாகை நோக்கி: உம்முடைய சர்வாங்க தகனபலியண்டையில் நில்லும், நான் போய்வருகிறேன்; கர்த்தர் வந்து என்னைச் சந்திக்கிறதாயிருக்கும்; அவர் எனக்கு வெளிப்படுத்துவதை உமக்கு அறிவிப்பேன் என்று சொல்லி, ஒரு மேட்டின்மேல் ஏறினான்.
And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the Lord will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place.
4 தேவன் பிலேயாமைச் சந்தித்தார்; அப்பொழுது அவன் அவரை நோக்கி: நான் ஏழு பலிபீடங்களை ஆயத்தம் பண்ணி, ஒவ்வொரு பலிபீடத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு காளையையும் ஒவ்வொரு ஆட்டுக்கடாவையும் பலியிட்டேன் என்றான்.
And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram.
5 கர்த்தர் பிலேயாமின் வாயிலே வாக்கு அருளி: நீ பாலாகினிடத்தில் திரும்பிப்போய், இவ்விதமாய்ச் சொல்லக்கடவாய் என்றார்.
And the Lord put a word in Balaam’s mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.
6 அவனிடத்துக்கு அவன் திரும்பிபோனான்; பாலாக் மோவாபுடைய சகல பிரபுக்களோடுங்கூடத் தன் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியண்டையிலே நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தான்.
And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.
7 அப்பொழுது அவன் தன் வாக்கியத்தை எடுத்துரைத்து: மோவாபின் ராஜாவாகிய பாலாக் என்னைக் கிழக்கு மலைகளிலுள்ள ஆராமிலிருந்து வரவழைத்து: நீ வந்து எனக்காக யாக்கோபைச் சபிக்கவேண்டும்; நீ வந்து இஸ்ரவேலை வெறுத்து விடவேண்டும் என்று சொன்னான்.
And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.
8 தேவன் சபிக்காதவனை நான் சபிப்பதெப்படி? கர்த்தர் வெறுக்காதவனை நான் வெறுப்பதெப்படி?
How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied?
9 கன்மலையுச்சியிலிருந்து நான் அவனைக் கண்டு, குன்றுகளிலிருந்து அவனைப் பார்க்கிறேன்; அந்த ஜனங்கள் ஜாதிகளோடே கலவாமல் தனியே வாசமாயிருப்பார்கள்.
For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.
10 யாக்கோபின் தூளை எண்ணத்தக்கவன் யார்? இஸ்ரவேலின் காற்பங்கை எண்ணுகிறவன் யார்? நீதிமான் மரிப்பது போல் நான் மரிப்பேனாக, என் முடிவு அவன் முடிவுபோல் இருப்பதாக என்றான்.
Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!
11 அப்பொழுது பாலாக் பிலேயாமை நோக்கி: நீர் எனக்கு என்னசெய்தீர்; என் சத்துருக்களைச் சபிக்கும்படி உம்மை அழைப்பித்தேன்; நீர் அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதிக்கவே ஆசீர்வதித்தீர் என்றான்.
And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.
12 அதற்கு அவன்: கர்த்தர் என் வாயில் அருளினதையே சொல்வது என் கடமையல்லவா என்றான்.
And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the Lord hath put in my mouth?
13 பின்பு பாலாக் அவனை நோக்கி: நீர் அவர்களைப் பார்க்கத்தக்க வேறொரு இடத்திற்கு என்னோடேகூட வாரும்; அங்கே அவர்கள் எல்லாரையும் பாராமல், அவர்களுடைய கடைசிப் பாளயத்தைமாத்திரம் பார்ப்பீர்; அங்கேயிருந்து எனக்காக அவர்களைச் சபிக்கவேண்டும் என்று சொல்லி,
And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.
14 அவனைப் பிஸ்காவின் கொடுமுடியில் இருக்கிற சோப்பீமீன் வெளியிலே அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய், ஏழு பலி பீடங்களைக் கட்டி, ஒவ்வொரு பீடத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு காளையையும் ஒவ்வொரு ஆட்டுக்கடாவையும் பலியிட்டான்.
And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.
15 அப்பொழுது பிலேயாம் பாலாகை நோக்கி: இங்கே உம்முடைய சர்வாங்க தகனபலியண்டையில் நில்லும்; நான் அங்கே போய்க் கர்த்தரைச் சந்தித்துவருகிறேன் என்றான்.
And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet the Lord yonder.
16 கர்த்தர் பிலேயாமைச் சந்தித்து, அவன் வாயிலே வசனத்தை அருளி: நீ பாலாகினிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பிபோய், இவ்விதமாய்ச் சொல்லக்கடவாய் என்றார்.
And the Lord met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.
17 அவனிடத்திற்கு அவன் வருகிறபோது, அவன் மோவாபின் பிரபுக்களோடுங்கூடத் தன்னுடைய சர்வாங்கதகனபலியண்டையிலே நின்றுகொண்டிருந்தான்; பாலாக் அவனை நோக்கி: கர்த்தர் என்ன சொன்னார் என்று கேட்டான்.
And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the Lord spoken?
