‘जब तिमी प्रार्थना गर्दछौ, तब परमेश्वरलाई नजान्ने अरु मानिसहरूले जस्तो व्यवहार नगर्। तिनीहरू अर्थहीन कुरा गर्छन्। तिमीले त्यसप्रकारले प्रार्थना गर्नु हुँदैन। तिनीहरूले सोंचेका हुन्छन् परमेश्वरले तिनीहरूका कुरा सुन्नुहुनेछ भनी।

परमेश्वरमा विश्वास नगर्नेहरूले मात्रै यी कुराहरू पाउने इच्छा गर्दछन्। यसकारण फिक्री नगर, किनभने स्वर्गमा बस्नुहुने पिताले तिमीहरूलाई यी सबै थोकको आवश्यक छ भनी जान्नुहुन्छ।
