मानिसहरूले सोचे कि पावल सुनिन्छ, अथवा हटात लडेर मर्छ। तिनीहरूले निक्कै बेरसम्म पावललाई हेरे र मर्छ कि भनी र्पखिरहे तर त्यस्तो कुनै नराम्रो घटना घटेन। यसकारण पावलप्रतिको आफ्नो धारणा मानिसहरूले बद्ली गरे। तिनीहरूले भने, “उनी परमेश्वर हुन्!”

Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.
