Leviticus 22:21
“कुनै व्यक्तिले मेलबलि अथवा परमप्रभुलाई स्वेच्छाले आफ्नो भाकल पूरा गर्न बलि चढाउनु सक्छ, तर त्यो बलि बलियो अनि निष्खोट हुनुपर्छ त्यो साँढे होस् अथवा भेडा।

उपदेशक 5:4
यदि तिमीले परमेश्वरसंग कुनै कुराको प्रतिज्ञा गर्छौ भने पुरा गर्नमा दिलो नगर। परमेश्वर मूर्ख मानिसहरूसंग खुशी हुनुहुन्न। तिमीले परमेश्वरलाई जुन कुरो चढाउँने प्रतिज्ञा गरेका छौ त्यो चढाऊ।
व्यवस्था 23:21
“परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरलाई चढाउँछु भनी जे भाकल गर्छौ त्यो चढाउनमा ढिलो नगर किनभने परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले त्यो दावी गर्नुहुन्छ र यदि आफूले गरेको भाकल पूरा गर्न नसके तिमीलाई पाप लाग्नेछ।

तब याकूबले एउटा प्रतिज्ञा गरे। उनले भने, “यदि परमेश्वर मसंगै रहनु भयो अनि म जहाँ जान्छु त्यहाँ मेरो रक्षा गर्नु भयो भने अनि परमेश्वरले मलाई खान भोजन र लगाउन लुगाहरू दिनु भयो भने।
