Jeremiah 49:16
एदोम! तिमीहरूले अन्य जाति-जातिहरूलाई भयभित पार्यौ अनि स्वयंलाई महान ठानेका छौं। तर तिमीहरू आफैलाई मूर्ख बनायौ। तिम्रा गर्वले तिमीलाई धोका दियो। तिमी फुटेको चट्टानमा बस्छौ; उच्च पहाडहरूमा बस्छौ। तर यदि तिमीले आफ्ना घर चीलको गुँड भन्दा माथि बनायौ भने पनि म तिमीलाई तल झार्नेछु।”

त्यसपछि मानिसहरू चट्टानका-कन्दरातिर लुक्नेछन्। तिनीहरू परमप्रभु र उहाँका महान शक्तिबाट भयभीत भएर त्यसो गर्नेछन्। यो त्यतिबेला घट्ना घट्ने छ जब परमप्रभुले पृथ्वीलाई थर्थर कमाउन उठ्नु हुनेछ।
