Proverbs 4 - YLT (Nepali)

1 Hear, ye sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention to know understanding.हे मेरा छोराहरू, आफ्नो बाबुको शिक्षाहरूमा ध्यान देऊ अनि तिमीहरूले ती शिक्षाहरू बुझ्ने छौ।

2 For good learning I have given to you, My law forsake not.म तिमीलाई गहिरो ज्ञान दिन्छु। मैले दिएको यो शिक्षा तिमीले नत्याग।

3 For, a son I have been to my father -- tender, And an only one before my mother.एक समयमा म पनि मेरो पिताको एउटा छोरा थिएँ अनि मेरी आमाको प्रिय सानो केटो थिएँ, उनको एउटै मात्र छोरो।

4 And he directeth me, and he saith to me: `Let thy heart retain my words, Keep my commands, and live.अनि मेरो बाबुले मलाई यी सब कुराहरू सिकाउनु भयो। उहाँले मलाई भन्नु भयो, “मैले भनेका कुराहरू याद गर, मेरा आज्ञाहरू पालन गर, तब तिमी जीवित रहनेछौ।

5 Get wisdom, get understanding, Do not forget, nor turn away From the sayings of my mouth.ज्ञान र समझ-शक्तिलाई प्राप्त गर। मेरो अर्तीलाई नबिर्सनु अनि मैले दिएको शिक्षाहरूलाई अस्वीकार नगर्नु।

6 Forsake her not, and she doth preserve thee, Love her, and she doth keep thee.ज्ञानलाई नत्याग, ज्ञानलाई प्रेम गर, तब ज्ञानले तिम्रो रक्षा गर्नेछ।

7 The first thing `is' wisdom -- get wisdom, And with all thy getting get understanding.सबभन्दा महत्वपूर्ण कुरो नै ज्ञान हो। तिमीले ज्ञान प्राप्त गर्न आँफूसँग भएको सबै बेच।

8 Exalt her, and she doth lift thee up, She honoureth thee, when thou dost embrace her.ज्ञानलाई सम्मान गर अनि यसैले तिमीलाई महान बनाउँने छ। ज्ञानलाई अँगाल यसले तिमी मा सम्मान ल्याउनेछ।

9 She giveth to thy head a wreath of grace, A crown of beauty she doth give thee freely.उसले तिम्रो शिरमाथि महिमाको माला लगाई दिन्छ अनि तिमीलाई महिमामय शिरपेचले सुगोभित पार्छे।

10 Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, And years of life `are' multiplied to thee.हे मेरा छोरा, त्यो मैले दिएको शिक्षा सुन अनि तिमीले लामो जीवन जीउने छौ।

11 In a way of wisdom I have directed thee, I have caused thee to tread in paths of uprightness.म तिमीलाई ज्ञानको बाटोको शिक्षा दिइरहेको छु। अनि मैले तिमीलाई सोझोबाटोमा डोर्याइरहेको छु

12 In thy walking thy step is not straitened, And if thou runnest, thou stumblest not.जब तिमी अघि बढछौ, तिम्रो खुट्टा जालमा पर्ने छैन अनि जब तिमी दगुर्छौ तिमीलाई ठेस लाग्ने छैन।

13 Lay hold on instruction, do not desist, Keep her, for she `is' thy life.अर्तीलाई समातिराखू अनि यसलाई जान नदेऊ। यसमाथि नजर राख किनभने ऊ तिम्रो जीवन हो।

14 Into the path of the wicked enter not, And be not happy in a way of evil doers.दुष्ट मानिसहरूको बाटो नकुल्च अनि दुष्ट मानिसहरूको मार्गमा नहिड।

15 Avoid it, pass not over into it, Turn aside from it, and pass on.यसलाई त्याग। यसलाई काटेर पनि नजाऊ! त्यसलाई तिम्रो पिठ्‌यूँ फर्काई देऊ अनि टाढा हिँड।

16 For they sleep not if they do not evil, And their sleep hath been taken violently away, If they cause not `some' to stumble.दुष्ट मानिसहरू दुष्टयाई नगरी सुत्न सक्तैनन्। जब सम्म कसैलाई नोक्सान पुर्याउँदैनन तिनीहरू निदाँउ नै सक्तैनन।

17 For they have eaten bread of wickedness, And wine of violence they drink.किनभने तिनीहरू त सबै पाप कर्मबाट नै जीवन निर्बाह गर्छन् र पाशविक कमाईबाट मद्य पिउँछन् कारण पाप तथा खराब कर्म गर्न त तिनीहरूको निम्ति खानु पिउनु जत्तिकै स्वभाविक हो।

18 And the path of the righteous `is' as a shining light, Going and brightening till the day is established,तर धर्मको बाटो चाँहि सूर्यको प्रभात किरण झैं हुन्छ जसले मध्यान्न सम्म प्रकाश बढाउँदै जान्छ।

19 The way of the wicked `is' as darkness, They have not known at what they stumble.दुष्टहरूको चाल अत्त्यन्तै अन्धकारमय हुन्छ र दुष्ट मानिसले जान्दैन कि कहाँ उसले ठक्कर खाँन्छ।

20 My son, to my words give attention, To my sayings incline thine ear,हे मेरा छोरा, मेरा कुराहरू सुन्। मैले के भन्छु ध्यान दिएर सुन्।

21 Let them not turn aside from thine eyes, Preserve them in the midst of thy heart.ती कुराहरूलाई सदा आफ्नो मनमा राख र तिनीहरूलाई आफ्नो सामने बाट टाढा नराख।

22 For life they `are' to those finding them, And to all their flesh healing.मेरो शिक्षाहरूले तिनीहरूलाई जीवन दिन्छ जसले यसलाई पालन गर्छ अनि मेरा वचनहरूले शरीरमा तन्दूरूस्ती दिन्छ।

23 Above every charge keep thy heart, For out of it `are' the outgoings of life.सबभन्दा महत्वपूर्ण कुरो के हो भने तिमीले सोच्नु पर्ने कुराहरूमा तिमी अत्यन्तै होशियारी हुनु पर्छ। किनभने तिम्रो मन तिम्रो जीवनको स्रोत हो।

24 Turn aside from thee a froward mouth, And perverse lips put far from thee,तिम्रो मुखबाट मिथ्यापूर्ण शब्दहरू निस्कन नदेऊ। झूटो नबोल।

25 Thine eyes do look straightforward, And thine eyelids look straight before thee.तिम्रा आँखाहरू अघि सधैं मार्ग सोझो रहोस् र आँखाको पलकले सधैं अघि नै ताकिरहेको होस्।

26 Ponder thou the path of thy feet, And all thy ways `are' established.तिमी हिडेको मार्गलाई राम्ररी हेर अनि तिमीले गरेका सबै कुरामा सुरक्षित हुनेछौ।

27 Incline not `to' the right or to the left, Turn aside thy foot from evil!दाहिने अथवा देब्रे नफर्क, तिम्रो खुट्टाहरूलाई गल्ती मार्गमा जानबाट रोक।
