Proverbs 29 - BBE (Nepali)

1 A man hating sharp words and making his heart hard, will suddenly be broken and will not be made well again.यदि एकजना मानिस जसलाई प्रायः हप्काइन्छ तर ऊ अट्टेरी गर्छ भने उसको एक्कासी विनाश हुनेछ उसको लागि आशा हुँदैन।

2 When the upright have power, the people are glad; when an evil man is ruler, grief comes on the people.जब धर्मी मानिसहरू सत्तामा आउँछन् राज्य खुशी बन्छन् तर जब दुष्ट मानिस शासक बन्छ तब सबै मानिसहरू दुःखीत हुन्छन्।

3 A man who is a lover of wisdom is a joy to his father: but he who goes in the company of loose women is a waster of wealth.यदि कुनै मानिसले ज्ञानलाई प्रेम गर्छ भने, उसको बाबु खुशी हुन्छन, तर वेश्याहरूको साथीले आफ्नो सम्पत्ति बरबाद गर्छ।

4 A king, by right rule, makes the land safe; but one full of desires makes it a waste.एकजना राजाले आफ्नो राज्यलाई न्याय द्वारा बलियो राख्छ, तर घूस लिने मानिसले यसलाई सर्वनाश पार्छ।

5 A man who says smooth things to his neighbour is stretching out a net for his steps.जसले आफ्नो मित्र सित तेल घस्छ भने उसले आफ्नै खुट्टामा जाल फिंजाउँछ।

6 In the steps of an evil man there is a net for him, but the upright man gets away quickly and is glad.पापीजनहरू स्वयं आफ्नो जालमा फस्छन् तर धर्मी जनहरू गीत गाउँछन् अनि खुशी रहन्छन्।

7 The upright man gives attention to the cause of the poor: the evil-doer gives no thought to it.धर्मी मानिसहरूले बुझ्छन् कि गरीबले न्याय पाउँनुपर्छ। तर दुष्ट मानिसले गरीबको विषयमा चिन्ता नै गर्दैन।

8 Men of pride are the cause of violent acts in a town, but by wise men wrath is turned away.जसले आफैंलाई अरू भन्दा असल हुँ भन्ने सोच्छ त्यसले सारा शहर नै अस्त-व्यस्त पारिदिन्छ। तर बुद्धिमान मानिसहरूले जलि रहेको क्रोधालाई शान्त बनाउँछन्।

9 If a wise man goes to law with a foolish man, he may be angry or laughing, but there will be no rest.बुद्धिमान मानिस जब मूर्खसित झगडा गर्छ तब मूर्खले तर्क गर्छ र मूर्खतापूर्वक बोल्छ त्यो बहसको कहिल्यै समाधान हुने छैन।

10 Men of blood are haters of the good man, and evil-doers go after his soul.हत्यागर्ने मानिसले ईमानदारी मानिसलाई घृणा गर्छ, र उसलाई मार्न चाहान्छ।

11 A foolish man lets out all his wrath, but a wise man keeps it back quietly.मूर्ख मानिसले आफ्नो रिस थाम्दैन। तर बुद्धिमानी मानिसले आफ्नो रिसलाई नियन्त्रणमा राख्छ।

12 If a ruler gives attention to false words, all his servants are evil-doers.यदि एकजना शासकले झूटो कुरामा ध्यान दियो भने उसका सबै सेवकहरू भ्रष्ट हुन्छन्।

13 The poor man and his creditor come face to face: the Lord gives light to their eyes equally.गरीब मानिस र अत्याचारीले महसूस गर्नै पर्छ कि ती दुबै बराबर हुन कारण दुबैलाई परमप्रभुले नै सृष्टि गर्नुभएको हो।

14 The king who is a true judge in the cause of the poor, will be safe for ever on the seat of his power.यदि कुनै राजाले गरीबहरूलाई न्यायपूर्वक हेरचाह गर्छन् भने, उनको शासन दीर्घकाल सुरक्षित रहनेछ।

15 The rod and sharp words give wisdom: but a child who is not guided is a cause of shame to his mother.दण्ड अनि शिक्षाहरूले ज्ञानतिर डोर्याउँछ, तर एकजना छाडा छोडिएको छोरा आमाको लाज बन्छ।

16 When evil men are in power, wrongdoing is increased; but the upright will have pleasure when they see their downfall.खराब मानिसले राष्ट्रलाई शासन गर्छन भने पाप र अपराध बढदो हुनेछ तर आखिरमा धर्मीले दुष्टहरूको पतन देख्नेछन् र त्यस पछि तिनीहरूले विजय प्राप्त गर्नेछन्।

17 Give your son training, and he will give you rest; he will give delight to your soul.तिम्रो छोरालाई शिक्षा देऊ अनि उसले तिमीमा शान्ति ल्याउँछ; उसले तिम्रो आत्मामा खुशी ल्याउनेछ।

18 Where there is no vision, the people are uncontrolled; but he who keeps the law will be happy.जब दर्शन-प्रकाश हुँदैन मानिसहरू मनमानि गर्छन जो न्यायोचित भइरहन्छ उसले आशिष पाउँछ।

19 A servant will not be trained by words; for though the sense of the words is clear to him, he will not give attention.कुराले मात्र नोकरलाई सुधार्न सकिँदैन, कुरा बुझिहाले पनि उसले त्यसलाई स्वीकार्दैन।

20 Have you seen a man who is quick with his tongue? There is more hope for a foolish man than for him.नसोची बोल्ने कुनै मानिसलाई तिमी चिन्दछौ? त्यस्तो मानिस भन्दा मूर्खको धेरै आशा गर्न सकिन्छ।

21 If a servant is gently cared for from his early years, he will become a cause of sorrow in the end.यदि तिमीले आफ्नो दासले जो माग्छ सो सधैं दिने गर्यो भने एकदिन यस्तो हुन्छ त्यो तिम्रो दास भएर रहँदैन।

22 An angry man is the cause of fighting, and a man given to wrath does much wrong.क्रोधी मानिसले धेरै विवाद उठाउछ अनि क्रोध धेरै हुने मानिस धेरै पापहरूको अपराधी हुन्छ।

23 A man's pride will be the cause of his fall, but he who has a gentle spirit will get honour.मानिसलाई अहंकारले होच्याउँछ, तर नम्र आत्मा भएको मानिसले सम्मान पाउँछ।

24 A man who takes part with a thief has hate for his soul; he is put under oath, but says nothing.चोरको साथी ऊ आफ्नै शत्रु हो, जब उसले शपथ खानु पर्छ तब ऊ साक्षी बस्न धेरै डराउँछ।

25 The fear of man is a cause of danger: but whoever puts his faith in the Lord will have a safe place on high.अरू मानिसहरूसँगको डर एउटा पासो झैं हो, यदि तिमीले परमप्रभुमाथि भरोसा गर्छौ भने, तिमी सुरक्षित रहनेछौ।

26 The approval of a ruler is desired by great numbers: but the decision in a man's cause comes from the Lord.धेरै मानिसहरूले न्याय पाउनको लागि शासकलाई हेर्न खोज्छन्, तर मानिसको इन्साफ परमप्रभुबाट मात्र आउँछ।

27 An evil man is disgusting to the upright, and he who is upright is disgusting to evil-doers.धर्मी मानिसहरूले बेईमानहरूलाई घृणा गर्छन्, फेरि बेईमान मानिसहरूले ईमानदार मानिसलाई घृणा गर्छन्।
