Proverbs 28 - YLT (Nepali)

1 The wicked have fled and there is no pursuer. And the righteous as a young lion is confident.दुष्टको मनमा सधैं डर हुन्छ र कसैले नलखेटे पनि ऊ भागिहिंडछ। तर धर्मी मानिस सिंह झैं आँटिलो हुन्छ।

2 By the transgression of a land many `are' its heads. And by an intelligent man, Who knoweth right -- it is prolonged.जब देशमा राजद्रोह हुन्छ अनगन्ती शासकहरू बलपूर्वक उठ्छन। तर जब शासक ज्ञानी अनि समझदार हुन्छ उसले सबै कुरालाई व्यवस्थित बनाएर राख्छ।

3 A man -- poor and oppressing the weak, `Is' a sweeping rain, and there is no bread.एकजना गरीब मानिस जसले अर्को गरीबमाथि अत्याचार गर्छ। ऊ एउटा मुसलधारे वर्षा जस्तै हो उसले अन्न बालि को विनाश गर्छ।

4 Those forsaking the law praise the wicked, Those keeping the law plead against them.जसले व्यवस्थाको विधान त्यगि दिन्छ उसले दुष्टको प्रशंसा गर्छ तर जसले व्यवस्थाको पालन गर्छु। उसले तिनीहरूको विरोध गर्छ।

5 Evil men understand not judgment, And those seeking Jehovah understand all.दुष्ट मानिसले न्याय के हो बुझ्दैन, तर जुन मानिसले परमप्रभुलाई खोज्छ उसले बुझेको हुन्छ।

6 Better `is' the poor walking in his integrity, Than the perverse of ways who is rich.इमान्दार भई गरीब हुनु राम्रो हो, धनी भई दुष्ट हुनु राम्रो होइन।

7 Whoso is keeping the law is an intelligent son, And a friend of gluttons, Doth cause his father to blush.जसले व्यवस्थाको पालन गर्छ ऊ विवेकी छोरा हो, तर जसले बेकारका घिचुवाहरूलाई साथी बनाउँछ, त्यसले केवल आफ्नो बाबुलाई लज्जित बनाउँछ।

8 Whoso is multiplying his wealth by biting and usury, For one favouring the poor doth gather it.जसले अधिक ब्याज असुल गरी सम्पत्ति कमाउँछ तर त्यो सम्पत्ति उसले आफ्नो निम्ति होइन, तर कुनै गरीव मानिसको निम्ति सम्पत्ति जम्मा गर्छ।

9 Whoso is turning his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer `is' an abomination.यदि कसैले परमप्रभुको अनुशासन ग्रहण गर्न अस्वीकार गर्छ परमेश्वरले पनि उसको प्रार्थना सुन्न अस्वीकार गर्नु हुन्छ।

10 Whoso is causing the upright to err in an evil way, Into his own pit he doth fall, And the perfect do inherit good.धर्मी मानिसहरूलाई पथभ्रष्ट बनाउन खोज्ने मानिस आफ्नै पासोमा पर्छ तर निर्दोष मानिसहरूले असल कुराहरू आर्जन गर्छन्।

11 A rich man is wise in his own eyes, And the intelligent poor searcheth him.धनी मानिस आफ्नो नजरमा बुद्धिमान् हुन सक्छ, तर ज्ञानी गरीब मानिसले उसलाई चिनिहाल्छ।

12 In the exulting of the righteous the glory `is' abundant, And in the rising of the wicked man is apprehensive.जब सज्जन मानिसहरूले जितछन्, विजय हुन्छ र सबै खुशी हुन्छन, तर जब दुष्ट मानिसहरूको हातहरूमा शक्ति जान्छ मानिसहरू आफैं लुक्छन्।

13 Whoso is covering his transgressions prospereth not, And he who is confessing and forsaking hath mercy.जसले आफ्नो पापहरू लुकाउँछ उसको कहिल्यै उन्नति हुदैन, तर जसले आफ्नो पापहरू स्वीकार गर्छ र यसलाई त्यागी दिन्छ उसले कृपा प्राप्त गर्छ।

14 O the happiness of a man fearing continually, And whoso is hardening his heart falleth into evil.त्यो मानिस धन्य हो जो परमप्रभु सित डराउँछ, तर जसले आफ्नो हृदय कठोर पार्छ त्यो संकष्टमा पर्छ।

15 A growling lion, and a ranging bear, `Is' the wicked ruler over a poor people.एउटा दुष्ट शासक जसले गरीब राज्य माथि शासन गर्छ ऊ एकजना गर्जने सिंह जस्तो हो अथवा आक्रमक भालू जस्तो हो।

16 A leader lacking understanding multiplieth oppressions, Whoso is hating dishonest gain prolongeth days.जब एउटा शासकको विवेक हुदैन त्यहाँ धेरै अत्याचार हुन्छ, तर जसले भ्रष्टचारको उपायबाट कमाएको धनलाई घृणा गर्छ उसले लामो शासन गर्नेछ।

17 A man oppressed with the blood of a soul, Unto the pit fleeth, none taketh hold on him.मानिसलाई हत्या गर्ने मानिसले शान्ति पाउँदैन। त्यसलाई सहायता नगर।

18 Whoso is walking uprightly is saved, And the perverted of ways falleth at once.यदि कुनै मानिस सही जीवन जीई रहेको छ भने सुरक्षित रहन्छ, तर जो इमान्दारी पूर्वक जीवन जिउदैन उसको अचानक पतन हुन्छ।

19 Whoso is tilling his ground is satisfied `with' bread, And whoso is pursuing vanity, Is filled `with' poverty.एकजना मानिस जसले आफ्नो जमीनमा काम गर्छ उसँग खाने कुरा प्रशस्त हुन्छ, तर जसले आफ्नो समय संसारको कल्पनामा विताउँछ, ऊ सधैं गरीब नै रहन्छ।

20 A stedfast man hath multiplied blessings, And whoso is hasting to be rich is not acquitted.एकजना विश्वासनीय मानिसले धेरै आशिष पाउँछ, तर चाडै धनी हुन खोज्ने मानिस दण्डित हुनेछ।

21 To discern faces is not good, And for a piece of bread doth a man transgress.न्यायधीश पक्षपाती हुनु हुदैन तर मानिसहरूले एउटा सानो रोटीको टुक्राको निम्ति पनि कुकर्म गर्छन्।

22 Troubled for wealth `is' the man `with' an evil eye, And he knoweth not that want doth meet him.एकजना लोभि मानिस चाँडै नै धनी हुन खोज्छ, उसले यो बुझ्न सक्दैन कि उसको लोभले उसलाई गरीबीको झन झनै नजिक तानिरहेको हुन्छ।

23 Whoso is reproving a man afterwards findeth grace, More than a flatterer with the tongue.चिप्लो घस्ने मानिस भन्दा सुधार गर्नेको लागि हप्काउने मानिस अन्तमा लोकप्रिय हुन्छ।

24 Whoso is robbing his father, or his mother, And is saying, `It is not transgression,' A companion he is to a destroyer.एकजना मानिस जसले उसको आफ्नै आमा-बाबुको धन चोर्छ अनि “मैले कुनै गलत गरिनँ” भन्छ भने त्यो मानिस विनाशकारी बर्षा जत्तिकै खराब हो।

25 Whoso is proud in soul stirreth up contention, And whoso is trusting on Jehovah is made fat.एकजना लोभि मानिसले झगडा उठाउँछ, तर जुन मानिसको परमप्रभुमाथि भरोसा छ उसले त उन्नति गर्छ।

26 Whoso is trusting in his heart is a fool, And whoso is walking in wisdom is delivered.जो आफ्नै विचारमा भरोसा राख्छ एकजना मूर्ख हो। तर जो ज्ञानको बाटोमा हिंड्छ ऊ सुरक्षित रहन्छ।

27 Whoso is giving to the poor hath no lack, And whoso is hiding his eyes multiplied curses.जसले गरीबहरूलाई दान गरी बस्छ उसलाई अभावले कहिल्यै स्पर्श गर्दैन। तर जो गरीबलाई यादै गर्दैन उसले श्राप पाउँछ।

28 In the rising of the wicked a man is hidden, And in their destruction the righteous multiply!जब कुनै दुष्टले शक्ति हासिल गर्छ, तब मानिसहरू लुक्छन तर जब दुष्टको विनाश हुन थाल्छ धर्मीहरू सत्तामा आउने छन्।
