Proverbs 22 - YLT (Nepali)

1 A name is chosen rather than much wealth, Than silver and than gold -- good grace.धन सम्पत्तीको मालिक हुनु भन्दा सम्मान पाउनु असल हो। सम्मानित हुनु सुन चाँदी भन्दा उत्तम हो।

2 Rich and poor have met together, The Maker of them all `is' Jehovah.सबै परमप्रभुका सृष्टि हुन यसर्थ कुन धनी कुन गरीब बराबरी हो।

3 The prudent hath seen the evil, and is hidden, And the simple have passed on, and are punished.एउटा बुद्धिमान मानिसले कष्टलाई पहिले नै देखेर यसबाट अघि नै तर्किन्छ, तर अनुभव नभएका मानिसहरू सिधै ती कष्टहरूमा पर्छन अनि दुःख पाउँछन्।

4 The end of humility `is' the fear of Jehovah, Riches, and honour, and life.नम्र बन अनि परमप्रभुलाई आदर गर, तब तिमीहरू बाच्नेछौ अनि धन र सम्मान पाउने छौ।

5 Thorns -- snares `are' in the way of the perverse, Whoso is keeping his soul is far from them.दुष्ट मानिस नाना थरीका फंदामा पर्छ, तर आफ्नो आत्माको पर्वाह गर्ने मानिस यस्तो कष्ट देखि टाडो बस्छ।

6 Give instruction to a youth about his way, Even when he is old he turneth not from it.नानीहरूलाई सही जीवन निर्वाह गर्नु सानै बाट सिकाउनु पर्छ, तब त्यो नानी बढे पनि त्यही प्रकारले जीवन यापन् गर्छ।

7 The rich over the poor ruleth, And a servant `is' the borrower to the lender.धनी मानिसहरूले गरीब मानिसहरूलाई शासन गर्छन् अनि उधारो लिनेहरू उधारो दिनेहरूको कमारा बन्छन्।

8 Whoso is sowing perverseness reapeth sorrow, And the rod of his anger weareth out.अन्याय रोप्ने मानिसले आफन्तको वाली काट्छ अनि उसको अत्याचारी शासनको अन्त हुन्छ।

9 The good of eye -- he is blessed, For he hath given of his bread to the poor.एकजना उदार योग्य मानिसले आशिषू पाउँछ। उसले आशिषू पाउँछ किनभने उसले आफ्नो भोजन गरीबलाई दिन्छ।

10 Cast out a scorner -- and contention goeth out, And strife and shame cease.यदि कुनै मानिसले अरूलाई खिसी गर्छ भने उसलाई त्यहाँबाट बल लगाएर निकाली देऊ। जब ऊ मानिस नै हट्छ झगडाहरू जान्छ र अनि लडाईं र अपमानहरू पनि सकिन्छ।

11 Whoso is loving cleanness of heart, Grace `are' his lips, a king `is' his friend.एउटा मानिस जसले शुद्ध हृदयलाई प्रेम गर्छ, जसको बोलीवचन करूणामय हुन्छ, ऊ राजाको मित्र हुनेछ।

12 The eyes of Jehovah have kept knowledge, And He overthroweth the words of the treacherous.परमप्रभुले सत्यता माथि पहरा दिनु हुन्छ, अनि अविश्वासी मानिसहरूले भनेका कुराहरूलाई विफल बनाउनु हुन्छ।

13 The slothful hath said, `A lion `is' without, In the midst of the broad places I am slain.'अलछे मानिसले भन्छ, “सिंह बाहिर बसिरहेको छ,” अथवा “म गल्लीमा मारिनेछु।”

14 A deep pit `is' the mouth of strange women, The abhorred of Jehovah falleth there.व्यभिचारी पापको जाल हो यसर्थ परमप्रभु यस्तो जालमा फँस्नेसित अत्यन्तै क्रोधित हुनुहुन्छ।

15 Folly is bound up in the heart of a youth, The rod of chastisement putteth it far from him.नानीको मनका मूर्खता रहेको हुन्छ। अनुशसनको डण्डाले यस मूर्खतालाई ऊबाट भगाइन्छ।

16 He is oppressing the poor to multiply to him, He is giving to the rich -- only to want.आफ्नो धन बढाउनु जसले गरीबलाई ठग्छ अनि धनी मानिसलाई उपहार चढाउँछ भने ती दुवै जना पछि दरिद्र हुन्छन्।

17 Incline thine ear, and hear words of the wise, And thy heart set to my knowledge,राम्रोसंग ध्यान देऊ, म के भन्छु सुन। म तिमीहरूलाई त्यो ज्ञान शिकाउने छु, जुन ज्ञानी मानिसहरूले मलाई दिएका छन्। मैले त्यो शिक्षाहरूबाट सिकें।

18 For they are pleasant when thou dost keep them in thy heart, They are prepared together for thy lips.यदि तिमीले यी कुराहरू याद राख्यौ भने असल हुनेछ। यी वचनहरू भन्नु सक्यौ भने तिमीलाई सहायता हुनेछ।

19 That thy trust may be in Jehovah, I caused thee to know to-day, even thou.अब म तिमीलाई ती कुराहरू नै सिकाउनेछु र म चाहन्छु, कि तिमीले परमप्रभु माथि भरोसा गर।

20 Have I not written to thee three times With counsels and knowledge?तिम्रो लागि मैले तीसओटा नीति-वचनहरू लेखेकोछु, यी सबै ज्ञान र उपदेशका वचनहरू हुन्।

21 To cause thee to know the certainty of sayings of truth, To return sayings of truth to those sending thee.यी वचनहरूले सत्य र महत्वपूर्ण कुराहरू सिकाउँछ। तब तिमीलाई जसले पठाउनु भएको छ उहाँलाई सही जवाफ दिन सक्छौ।-1-

22 Rob not the poor because he `is' poor, And bruise not the afflicted in the gate.गरीबलाई शोषण नगर किनभने तिनीहरू गरीब छन्, अनि गरीबलाई अदालतमा न्यायबाट बञ्चित नगर

23 For Jehovah pleadeth their cause, And hath spoiled the soul of their spoilers.परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूको मुद्दाको पक्ष लिनु हुन्छ, अनि उहाँले तिनीहरूको जीवन लिनु हुनेछ जसले उनीहरूलाई लुट्छन र शोषण गर्छन्।-2-

24 Shew not thyself friendly with an angry man, And with a man of fury go not in,झट्टै रिसाउने मानिससित मित्रता नजोड। सितिमिति रिसाउने मानिससित संगत नगर।

25 Lest thou learn his paths, And have received a snare to thy soul.नत्र भने तिमीले उसको बाटो जान्ने छौ र फन्दामा फँस्ने छौ।-3-

26 Be not thou among those striking hands, Among sureties `for' burdens.कहिल्यै कसैको जिम्मवारी लिने नहोऊ अर्काले लिएको ऋणको लागि जमानी नबस्।

27 If thou hast nothing to pay, Why doth he take thy bed from under thee?तिमीले त्यो ऋण चुक्ता गराउनु नसके निमीकहाँ भएको सबै गुमाउनु पर्नेछ। तिमीले आफ्नो ओढने ओछ्याउने सम्म गुमाउनु पर्नेछ।-4-

28 Remove not a border of olden times, That thy fathers have made.तिम्रो जमीन जसमा सिमाना तिम्रा पुर्खाहरूले कोरेका हुन, त्यो सिमाना कहिल्यै हल्लिन नदेऊ।-5-

29 Hast thou seen a man speedy in his business? Before kings he doth station himself, He stations not himself before obscure men!यदि कोही मानिस आफ्नो काममा निपुण छ भने ऊ राजाको सेवा गर्ने योग्यको हुन्छ। उसले नचिनेका मानिसहरूको सेवा गर्दैन।-6-
