Proverbs 19 - DBY (Nepali)

1 Better is a poor [man] that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.कुटिलता पूर्ण प्रयोग गर्ने मूर्ख भन्दा निष्कलंक गरीब असल हो।

2 Also that a person be without knowledge is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet maketh false steps.बिनाज्ञान उत्साहीत हुनु राम्रो होइन। यदि तिमी धेरै हतार गर्छौ भने विराउने छौ।

3 The folly of man distorteth his way, and his heart is irritated against Jehovah.मानिसले आफ्नै भूलले आफ्नो जीवन नष्ट पार्छ, तर त्यसको दोष परमप्रभुलाई लगाउँछ।

4 Wealth addeth many friends; but the poor is separated from his friend.धनले धेरै मित्रहरू बनाउँछ, तर गरीबलाई आफ्नै भित्रले पनि त्यागि दिन्छ।

5 A false witness shall not be held innocent, and he that uttereth lies shall not escape.झूटो गवाहीले सजाय पाउँछ नै अनि जुन मानिस झूटो बोलिरहन्छ त्यो बाँच्नु सक्तैन।

6 Many court the favour of a noble; and every one is friend to a man that giveth.धेरै मानिसहरूले शासकको निगाह खोजछन् अनि प्रत्येकले उदार मानिसको साथी बन्न चाहन्छ। अनि असल मानिसको मित्र हुन चाहन्छ।

7 All the brethren of a poor [man] hate him; how much more do his friends go far from him: he pursueth [them] with words, -- they are not [to be found].गरीब मानिस सित आफन्तहरू पनि टक्‌टकिन्छन्। साथी भाइहरू पनि त्यस गरीब मानिस देखि पर-पर बस्न चाहन्छन्। उसले जति नै बिन्ति गरोस् कसैले सहायता गर्दैन।

8 He that getteth sense loveth his own soul; he that keepeth understanding shall find good.बुद्धि प्राप्त गर्नेले आफ्नै जीवनलाई माया गर्छ। जसले आफ्नो समझ शक्ति बढाउँछ ऊ सधैं उन्नति गरिरहन्छ।

9 A false witness shall not be held innocent, and he that uttereth lies shall perish.एकजना झूटो गवाही दिनेलाई दण्ड दिइने छ। जसले झूटो बोल्छ त्यो ध्वंश हुनेछ।

10 Good living beseemeth not a fool; how much less for a servant to have rule over princes.मूर्ख धनी हुनुहुँदैन यस्तै प्रकार एकजना नोकरले राजकुमारमाथि शासन गर्नु हुँदैन।

11 The discretion of a man maketh him slow to anger, and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.ज्ञानी मानिस रिसाउनमा ढिलो हुन्छ अनि गल्ती गर्नेलाई क्षमा दिनु उसको यशको लागि राम्रो हुन्छ।

12 The king's displeasure is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass.राजाको क्रोध सिंहको गर्जन जस्तो हो, अनि उसको निगाह घाँसमा परेको शीतको थोपा जस्तो हो।

13 A foolish son is the calamity of his father; and the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping.मूर्ख छोरो बाबुको लागि विनाशको बाढी हो, अनि झगडालु पत्नी नित्त्य पानी चुहुने घर जस्तै हो।

14 House and wealth are an inheritance from fathers; but a prudent wife is from Jehovah.धन सम्पत्ति तथा घर आफ्नो आमा-बाबुबाट पाइन्छ, तर विवेकशील पत्नी चाहिँ परमप्रभुबाट आउँछे।

15 Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep, and the idle soul shall suffer hunger.अल्छीपनले गहिरो निद्रा लगाँउछ, अनि अल्छी मानिस भोक भोकै रहन्छ।

16 He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his soul; he that is careless of his ways shall die.जसले कानून मानेर चल्छ उसको जीवन सुरक्षित हुन्छ, तर जसले आफूले के गर्यो त्यसको विषयमा वास्ता गर्दैन भने त्यो मर्नेछ।

17 He that is gracious to the poor lendeth unto Jehovah; and what he hath bestowed will he repay unto him.गरीब माथि दया गर्नु परमप्रभुलाई सापट दिनु हो। अनि परमप्रभुले उसलाई र्फिता तिर्नु हुनेछ।

18 Chasten thy son, seeing there is hope; but set not thy soul upon killing him.सुध्रिने आशा अझै छ भने तिम्रो छोरालाई शिक्षा देऊ नत्र भने तिमीले उसको मृत्युको लागि सहयोग गरेका हुनेछौ।

19 A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment; for if thou deliver [him], yet thou must do it again.यदि कसैलाई सजिलै रीस उठ्छ भने, उसले त्यसको मूल्य चुकाउनु पर्छ। यदि तिमी उसलाई बचाउँछौ भने उसले त्यो गल्ती दोहर्याइरहन्छ।

20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.उपदेश सुन अनि अनुशासीत भई बस। यस प्रकार अन्त्यमा तिमी ज्ञानी हुनेछौ।

21 Many are the thoughts in a man's heart, but the counsel of Jehovah, that doth stand.मानिसले हृदयमा अनेकौं कुराहरू गर्न भनी सोच्छ, त्यही हुन्छ जो परमेश्वरले चाहनु हुन्छ।

22 The charm of a man is his kindness; and a poor [man] is better than a liar.विश्वासले मानिसलाई आनन्दायक बनाउँछ, यसकारण झूट हुनु भन्दा गरीब हुनु नै असल हो।

23 The fear of Jehovah [tendeth] to life, and he [that hath it] shall rest satisfied without being visited with evil.परमप्रभु प्रतिको डरले जीवन दिन्छ र व्याक्तिका आवश्यकताहरू पूरा हुन्छन अनि दुःखले उसलाई छुन सक्दैन।

24 A sluggard burieth his hand in the dish, and will not even bring it to his mouth again.एकजना अल्छेले उसको हात भाडा भित्र हाल्छ, तर उसले त्यसलाई उठाएर आफ्नो मुखमा पुर्याउँदैन्।

25 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware; reprove the intelligent, and he will understand knowledge.मूर्खलाई सजाय देऊ ताकि अनुभव नभएकाहरू विवेकशील होउन्।

26 He that ruineth [his] father and chaseth away [his] mother is a son that causeth shame and bringeth reproach.जसले आफ्नो बाबुलाई नराम्रो व्यवहार गर्छ, अनि आफ्नो आमालाई टाढा खेद्छ ऊ लाजमर्दो कलंकित छोरा हो।

27 Cease, my son, to hear the instruction which causeth to stray from the words of knowledge.हे मेरो छोरो, यदि तिमीले अनुशासनलाई ध्यान दिन छाड्‌यौ भने तिमी ज्ञानी वचनहरूबाट पनि टाढिन्छौ।

28 A witness of Belial scorneth judgment, and the mouth of the wicked swalloweth down iniquity.झूटो गवाहीले न्यायको खिल्ली उडाउँछ। दुष्ट मानिसहरू द्वारा भनेका कुराहरूले अझ दुष्टता मात्र बढाउँछ।

29 Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of the foolish.जसले आफैंलाई अरू भन्दा असल सम्झन्छ उसले सजाय भोग्नु पर्छ। त्यस्तो मूर्खहरूले कुटाई भेट्छन्।
