Proverbs 16 - BBE (Nepali)
1 The designs of the heart are man's, but the answer of the tongue comes from the Lord.मानिसले भन्न चाहन्छ त्यो आफूले निर्णय गर्छ तर त्यो कुरा व्यक्त गर्नु चाहिने ठीक शब्दहरू चुन्नमा ऊ परमप्रभुमा भर पर्छ।
2 All a man's ways are clean to himself; but the Lord puts men's spirits into his scales.मानिसले सोच्छ कि उसले गरेको प्रत्येक कुराहरू सही हो तर परमप्रभुले उसका अभिप्रायहरू जाँच्नु हुन्छ।
3 Put your works into the hands of the Lord, and your purposes will be made certain.तिनीले जे सुकै गर त्यसलाई परमप्रभुमा सुम्पिदेऊ, अनि तिम्रो योजना सफल हुनेछ।
4 The Lord has made everything for his purpose, even the sinner for the day of evil.परमप्रभुको प्रत्येक वस्तुको लागि आफ्नो उद्देश्यमूलक योजनाले रच्नु भएको हो, दुष्ट मानिसहरूलाई पनि उहाँले तिनीहरूको विपत्तिको योजना गर्नु भएको छ।
5 Everyone who has pride in his heart is disgusting to the Lord: he will certainly not go free from punishment.जुन मानिसले आफूलाई अरू भन्दा असल सम्झन्छ त्यसलाई परमप्रभुले घृणा गर्नु हुन्छ। निसंन्देह त्यस्तो घमण्डी मानिसलाई उहाँले दण्ड दिनु हुन्छ।
6 By mercy and good faith evil-doing is taken away: and by the fear of the Lord men are turned away from evil.राज भक्ति अनि विश्वासयोग्यताले दोषलाई मेटिदिन्छ। अनि परमप्रभु प्रतिको सम्मानले विपत्तिबाट बचाउँछ।
7 When a man's ways are pleasing to the Lord, he makes even his haters be at peace with him.परमप्रभुलाई जब एकजना मानिसको मार्ग मन पर्छ उहाँले उसको शत्रुलाई पनि ऊ सित प्रेमभावमा बस्ने बनाउनु हुन्छ।
8 Better is a little with righteousness, than great wealth with wrongdoing.बेइमानीको माध्यमबाट पाएको ठूलो लाभ भन्दा, धार्मिकताबाट कामाएको थोरै धन उत्तम हो।
9 A man may make designs for his way, but the Lord is the guide of his steps.हृदयमा मानिसले आफ्नो मार्ग ठीक पार्छ तर परमप्रभुले उसको गोडाहरूलाई मार्ग दर्शन गराउनु हुन्छ।
10 Decision is in the lips of the king: his mouth will not go wrong in judging.राजाले बोलेको नै नियम बन्दछ, यसर्थ उसले न्यायसंगत बोल्नु पर्छ।
11 True measures and scales are the Lord's: all the weights of the bag are his work.सही तराजु र नाप परमप्रभु सित सम्बन्धित रहन्छन्। उहाँ चाहानु हुन्छ, कि सबै व्यवसाय-धन्धाहरू न्याय पूर्वक रहुन्।
12 Evil-doing is disgusting to kings: for the seat of the ruler is based on righteousness.राजाले दुष्ट्याई गर्नु घृणीत हो किनभने धार्मीकताद्वारा सिंहासन सबल हुन्छ।
13 Lips of righteousness are the delight of kings; and he who says what is upright is dear to him.साँचो कुरा सुन्न मन पराउँने राजाहरूले ईमानदारीसंग बोल्ने मानिसहरूलाई मन पराउँछन्।
14 The wrath of the king is like those who give news of death, but a wise man will put peace in place of it.जब राजा क्रोधित हुन्छ उसले कसैलाई पनि मार्न सक्छ तर ज्ञानी मानिसले उसलाई शान्त गराउँन सक्छ।
15 In the light of the king's face there is life; and his approval is like a cloud of spring rain.राजा खुशी भए प्रत्येकको जीवन राम्रो हुन्छ। जब राजा तिमी सित खुशी हुन्छ, तब वसन्त ऋतुमा बादलबाट पानी परे झैं हुन्छ।
16 How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! and to get knowledge is more to be desired than silver.ज्ञान प्राप्त गर्नु सुन भन्दा असल हो! समझशक्तिलाई प्राप्त गर्नु चाँदी भन्दा असल हो।
17 The highway of the upright is to be turned away from evil: he who takes care of his way will keep his soul.धर्मी मानिसहरूको बाटोले दुर्भाग्यलाई त्याग्छ, आत्मालाई जोगाउँन चाहने मानिसले ऊ कहाँ जान्छ त्यसको ख्याल गर्नु पर्छ।
18 Pride goes before destruction, and a stiff spirit before a fall.सर्वनाश भन्दा अघि अहंकार आँउछ, अनि घमण्ड अपमानको अघि आउँछ।
19 Better it is to have a gentle spirit with the poor, than to take part in the rewards of war with men of pride.अहंकारी मानिससित लूटको धन बाँडनु भन्दा नम्र भएर गरीब मानिससित नम्र झैं बस्नु असल हो।
20 He who gives attention to the law of right will get good; and whoever puts his faith in the Lord is happy.मानिसहरूले उपदेश दिंदा जसले सुन्छ त्यो मानिसलाई लाभ हुन्छ, अनि जसले परमप्रभु माथि भरोसा गर्छ त्यो धन्य हुन्छ।
21 The wise-hearted will be named men of good sense: and by pleasing words learning is increased.ज्ञानी हृदय भएको मानिसलाई विवेकशील मानिस भनिन्छ, अनि कर्णमधु शब्दले ज्ञान बढाउछ।
22 Wisdom is a fountain of life to him who has it; but the punishment of the foolish is their foolish behaviour.तीब्र-बुद्धि भएको मानिसलाई बुद्धि जीवनको मूल हुन्छ, तर मूर्खहरूलाई तिनीहरूको मूर्खताले नै दण्ड भोगाउँछ।
23 The heart of the wise man is the teacher of his mouth, and gives increased learning to his lips.बुद्धिमानको हृदयले आफ्नो बोलीमा नियन्त्रण ल्याउँछ, र उसको ओठले शिक्षा बढाउँछन्।
24 Pleasing words are like honey, sweet to the soul and new life to the bones.आनन्दयाक बोली मह झैं हुन्छ, यसले आत्मामा आनन्द दिन्छ यसले शरीरमा चंगाई ल्याउँछ।
25 There is a way which seems straight before a man, but its end is the ways of death.कहिले कही यस्तो लाग्छ कि बाटो सही छ, तर अन्त्यमा त्यस बाटोले मृत्यु तिर पुर्याउँछ।
26 The desire of the working man is working for him, for his need of food is driving him on.परिश्रमी मानिसहरूलाई उसको भोकले नै काम गराई राख्छ। उसको भोकले उसलाई काम गराउँछ ताकि उसले खान पाओस्।
27 A good-for-nothing man is a designer of evil, and in his lips there is a burning fire.एकजना बेकाम्मा मानिसले दुष्ट योजना बनाउँछ अनि उसको उपदेशलाई आगोले झैं ध्वंश पारी दिन्छ।
28 A man of twisted purposes is a cause of fighting everywhere: and he who says evil secretly makes trouble between friends.एकजना झगडालु मानिसले सधैं बहसहरू सृजना गर्छ, अनि एकजना निन्दा गर्नेले घनिष्ट मित्रहरू बीच लडाइँ गराउँछ।
29 A violent man puts desire of evil into his neighbour's mind, and makes him go in a way which is not good.एकजना उपद्रवी मानिसले उसको छिमेकिलाई ठग्छ। उसले आफ्नो मित्रलाई अनुचित बाटोमा डोर्याउँछ।
30 He whose eyes are shut is a man of twisted purposes, and he who keeps his lips shut tight makes evil come about.जब मानिस हाँस्दै एउटा आँख झिम्क्याउँछ भने, उसले नराम्रो योजना बनाएको हुन्छ। अर्कालाई विगार्न आफू मुस्कुराउँदै काम गर्ने मानिस हुन्छ।
31 The grey head is a crown of glory, if it is seen in the way of righteousness.फूलेको केश इमान्दार जीवन जीउने मानिसहरूको गरीमाको मुकुट हुन्छ।
32 He who is slow to be angry is better than a man of war, and he who has control over his spirit than he who takes a town.मानिस धैर्यवान् हुनु लडाकु योद्धा भन्दा पनि उत्तम हो, जसले आफ्नो क्रोधलाई नियन्त्रणमा राख्छ, त्यो नगर जित्ने मानिस भन्दा पनि राम्रो मानिस हो।
33 A thing may be put to the decision of chance, but it comes about through the Lord.चिट्ठा, मानिसहरू द्वारा फ्याँकिन्छ तर त्यसको निर्णय परमप्रभुले गर्नु हुन्छ।
