Proverbs 14 - BBE (Nepali)

1 Wisdom is building her house, but the foolish woman is pulling it down with her hands.बुद्धिमान स्त्रीले आफ्नो घर निर्माण गर्छे, तर बुद्धिहीन स्त्रीले बनिएको घर आफ्नै हातले भत्काउँछे।

2 He who goes on his way in righteousness has before him the fear of the Lord; but he whose ways are twisted gives him no honour.जुन मानिसको मार्ग सिधा छ, उसले परमप्रभुको सम्मान गर्छ तर जुन मानिसको मार्ग कुटिल छ उसले उहाँलाई घृणा गर्छ।

3 In the mouth of the foolish man is a rod for his back, but the lips of the wise will keep them safe.मूर्खको कुराले उसकै ढाडमा लट्ठी बज्राउँछ, तर बुद्धिमानको कुराले उसलाई सुरक्षा गर्छ।

4 Where there are no oxen, their food-place is clean; but much increase comes through the strength of the ox.जहाँ गोरूहरू हुँदैन त्यहाँ ढिकुटी खाली रहन्छ, अनि गोरूहरूको बलले नै अन्न प्रशस्त उब्जिन्छ।

5 A true witness does not say what is false, but a false witness is breathing out deceit.एकजना साँचो गवाहीले साँचो बोल्छ, तर झूटो गवाहीले सधैं झूटो नै बोलिरहन्छ।

6 The hater of authority, searching for wisdom, does not get it; but knowledge comes readily to the open-minded man.एक अभिमानी मानिसले ज्ञान खोजिरहन्छ, तर त्यसलाई भेट्दैन, तर एउटा ज्ञानी मानिसलाई बुद्धि सजिलै आउँछ।

7 Go away from the foolish man, for you will not see the lips of knowledge.मूर्खको संगतबाट तिमी सधैं टाढा बस, किनभने उसको बचनबाट तिमीले केही बुद्धि पाउँदैनौ।

8 The wisdom of the man of good sense makes his way clear; but the unwise behaviour of the foolish is deceit.ज्ञानी मानिसको ज्ञान यो हो कि कुन बाटोले उसलाई कता डोर्याउदैछ त्यो उसले बुझ्छ, तर मूर्ख मानिसको मूर्खताले आफैंलाई छलेको हुन्छ।

9 In the tents of those hating authority there is error, but in the house of the upright man there is grace.पाप निवारण गर्ने विचारमा मूर्ख मानिस हाँस्छ, तर त्यहाँ इमानदारी मानिसहरूको बीचमा सद्भाव पाइन्छ।

10 No one has knowledge of a man's grief but himself; and a strange person has no part in his joy.यदि एकजना मानिस दुःखी भए उसले आफ्नो दुःख मात्र बुझ्छ, अनि यदि कोही खुशी छ भने, उसको खुशी उसले मात्र बुझ्छ।

11 The house of the sinner will be overturned, but the tent of the upright man will do well.एक दुष्ट मानिसको घर ध्वंश हुनेछ, तर इमानदार मानिसको घर फलिफाप हुनेछ।

12 There is a way which seems straight before a man, but its end is the ways of death.त्यहाँ एउटा यस्तो मार्ग पनि छ जसलाई मानिसहरूले सही भनी सम्झन्छन्, तर अन्त्यमा त्यस मार्गले मृत्युतिर डोर्याउँछ।

13 Even while laughing the heart may be sad; and after joy comes sorrow.कुनै मानिस यदि उसको मनमा पीर भए पनि हाँसिरहनु सक्छ, तर हाँसी सक्दा पनि उसको पीर रहिरहन्छ।

14 He whose heart is turned away will have the reward of his ways in full measure; but a good man will have the reward of his doings.एकजना दुष्ट मानिस उसले गरेको खराब कार्यको फल भोग्छ अनि त्यसै गरी एउटा असल मानिसले गरेको असल कार्यको फल उसले पाउँछ।

15 The simple man has faith in every word, but the man of good sense gives thought to his footsteps.एकजना अनुभवरहित मानिसले आफूले सुनेको प्रत्येक कुरामा विश्वास गर्छ, तर एकजना ज्ञानी मानिसले उसले टेकेको प्रत्येक पाइलाको राम्ररी विचार गर्छ।

16 The wise man, fearing, keeps himself from evil; but the foolish man goes on in his pride, with no thought of danger.एकजना ज्ञानी मानिस सतर्क रहन्छ अनि दुःखहरूबाट तर्कन्छ, तर एकजना मूर्ख विश्वासको साथ यसै दुःखतिर अघि बढछ।

17 He who is quickly angry will do what is foolish, but the man of good sense will have quiet.चाँडो रिसाउने मानिसले मूर्खतापूर्ण कामहरू गर्छ अनि एकजना कुबाटोमा लाग्ने मानिस घृणित हुन्छ।

18 Foolish behaviour is the heritage of the simple, but men of good sense are crowned with knowledge.अज्ञानीले मूर्खता प्राप्त गर्नेछ, तर विवेकी मानिसहरूलाई ज्ञानको मुकुट लगाई दिइनेछ।

19 The knees of the evil are bent before the good; and sinners go down in the dust at the doors of the upright.नराम्रा मानिसहरू असल मानिसहरूको अघि झुक्नु पर्छ अनि दुष्ट मानिसहरू धर्मी मानिसहरूको दैलोमा झुक्नुपर्छ।

20 The poor man is hated even by his neighbour, but the man of wealth has numbers of friends.गरीब मानिसहरूलाई तिनीहरूका छिमेकीहरूले पनि मन पराउँदैनन्। तर धनीका त धेरै मित्रहरू हुन्छन्।

21 He who has no respect for his neighbour is a sinner, but he who has pity for the poor is happy.जसले आफ्नो छिमेकिलाई हेला गर्छ उसले पाप गर्छ, तर जसले गरीब माथि दया गर्छ त्यो धन्यको हुन्छ।

22 Will not the designers of evil come into error? But mercy and good faith are for the designers of good.जुन मानिसले षड्‌यन्त्र मात्र रचिरहन्छ त्यो बरालिन्छ नै, तर जुन मानिसले राम्रो राम्रो योजनाहरू बनाउँछ उसले प्रेम र विश्वास पाउँछ।

23 In all hard work there is profit, but talk only makes a man poor.यदि कसैले कडा परिश्रम गर्यो भने उसले इच्छा गरेको वस्तु पाउँछ, तर यदि कसैले कुरा मात्र गरिरहन्छ भने तब त्यो गरीब हुँदै जान्छ।

24 Their wisdom is a crown to the wise, but their foolish behaviour is round the head of the unwise.ज्ञानी मानिसले पुरस्कार धन पाउँछ, तर मूर्ख मानिसले मूर्खता नै पाउँछ।

25 A true witness is the saviour of lives; but he who says false things is a cause of deceit.साँचो गवाहीले जीवनको रक्षा गर्छ, तर झूटो गवाहीले झूटो बोल्छ।

26 For him in whose heart is the fear of the Lord there is strong hope: and his children will have a safe place.परमप्रभु प्रतिको सम्मान एउटा बलियो किल्ला हो, यो उसका छोरा-छोरीहरूको लागि सुरक्षित स्थान हुनेछ।

27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, by which one may be turned from the nets of death.परमप्रभुको सत्कार गर्नु जीवनको मूल हो, यसले मानिसलाई मृत्युको पासोहरूबाट टाढा राख्छ।

28 A king's glory is in the number of his people: and for need of people a ruler may come to destruction.यदि धेरै मानिसहरू माथि राजाले शासन चलाउँछ भने त्यो महान हो, तर प्रजा बिनाको राजा तुच्छ हो।

29 He who is slow to be angry has great good sense; but he whose spirit is over-quick gives support to what is foolish.धैर्यशील मानिसले धेरै विचार गरी काम गर्छ, तर जो मानिस चाँडै रिसको प्रकोपमा पर्छ उसले धेरै मूर्खतापूर्ण कामहरू गर्छ।

30 A quiet mind is the life of the body, but envy is a disease in the bones.शान्ति हृदयले शरीरलाई जीवन दिन्छ, तर डाहले शरीरको हड्डी सम्म मककाउँछ।

31 He who is hard on the poor puts shame on his Maker; but he who has mercy on those who are in need gives him honour.जो मानिसले गरीबलाई दुःख दिन्छ उसले सृष्टिकर्तालाई अपमान गर्छ, तर जसले उहाँलाई आदर गर्छ गरीबलाई दया देखाउँछ।

32 The sinner is overturned in his evil-doing, but the upright man has hope in his righteousness.एकजना दुष्ट मानिस उसको दुष्टताद्वारा पारजित हुन्छ, तर एकजना धर्मी मानिस उसको पवित्रतामा सुरक्षित रहन्छ।

33 Wisdom has her resting-place in the mind of the wise, but she is not seen among the foolish.ज्ञानी मानिसहरूको विचार ज्ञानको घर हो तर एकजना मूर्ख मानिसले ज्ञान के हो जान्दैन।

34 By righteousness a nation is lifted up, but sin is a cause of shame to the peoples.धार्मिकताले राष्ट्रलाई महान तुल्याँउछ तर पाप भनेको सबैको लागि लज्जाजनक हो।

35 The king has pleasure in a servant who does wisely, but his wrath is against him who is a cause of shame.ज्ञानी सेवकले राजाको अनुग्रह पाउँदछ, तर एक जसले झमेला उत्पन्न गर्छ तिनले क्रोध पाउँछ।
