Proverbs 12 - DBY (Nepali)

1 Whoso loveth discipline loveth knowledge, but he that hateth reproof is brutish.एकजना मानिस जसले अनुशासनलाई प्रेम गर्छ उसले त ज्ञानलाई त्यसै माया गर्छ, तर जसले सुधारलाई घृणा गर्छ, त्यो त पटमूर्ख हो।

2 A good [man] obtaineth favour of Jehovah; but a man of mischievous devices will he condemn.असल मानिसले परमप्रभुबाट अनुग्रह पाउँछ, तर एउटा धूर्त मानिसले दण्ड मात्र पाउँछ।

3 A man shall not be established by wickedness; but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.दुष्टता द्वारा कसैलाई पनि सुरक्षित बनाउँनु सकिंदैन, तर धर्मी मानिसहरूको जरा उखाल्नु सकिंदैन।

4 A woman of worth is a crown to her husband; but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.एक योग्य पत्नी आफ्नो पतिको निम्ति शिरको मुकुट हो, तर पति माथि अपमान ल्याउने गृहिणी लोग्नेको शरीरमा मककाउँदै गरेका हड्डीहरू जस्तै हो।

5 The thoughts of the righteous are right; the counsels of the wicked are deceit.धर्मी मानिसहरूको योजनाहरू न्याय संगत हुन्छन्, तर दुष्टहरूको सल्लाह छलपूर्ण हुन्छन्।

6 The words of the wicked are a lying-in-wait for blood; but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.दुष्टहरूको शब्दहरू उपगोपनबाट आक्रमण भए झैं आउँछन्, तर ईमानदारीहरूको वचनले तिनीहरूलाई बचाउँछ।

7 Overthrow the wicked, and they are no [more]; but the house of the righteous shall stand.दुष्ट मानिसहरूलाई नष्ट गरिन्छ अनि अस्तित्व रहित हुन्छ, तर धर्मी मानिसहरूको घर दृढतासाथ खडा रहन्छ।

8 A man is commended according to his wisdom; but he that is of a perverted heart shall be despised.मानिस आफ्नो भलो बुद्धिले प्रशंसा कमाउँछ, तर त्यस्तो मानिस जसको मन सदा कुबाटो तिर रहन्छ त्यो घृणित हुन्छ।

9 Better is he that is lightly esteemed, and hath a servant, than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.प्रतिष्ठित व्याक्ति हुँ भनी बहना गर्नु तर प्रचुर मात्रमा खाना नहुनु भन्दा एउटा साधरण व्याक्ति भएर आफैंलाई आफ्नो सेवक बनाउँनु असल हो।

10 A righteous man is concerned for the life of his beast; but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.एकजना धर्मी मानिसले उसको पशुहरूको आवश्यकता ख्याल गर्छ, तर दुष्ट मानिसको असल काम निष्ठुर हुन्छ।

11 He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread; but he that followeth the worthless is void of understanding.आफ्नो खेतमा काम गर्ने कृषक सित प्रशस्त खाने चीज हुन्छ, तर बेकारमा समय नष्ट गर्ने मानिसको बुद्धि हुदैन।

12 The wicked desireth the net of evil [men]; but the root of the righteous yieldeth [fruit].दुष्ट मानिस सधैं दुष्टयाई कर्म गर्न मात्र खोज्छ, तर धर्मी मानिससित गहिरो शक्ति हुन्छ।

13 In the transgression of the lips is an evil snare; but a righteous [man] shall go forth out of trouble.दुष्ट मानिस आफ्नै खराब शब्दहरू चंगुलमा फस्छ। तर धर्मी मानिस त्यस्तो अप्ठेरोमा पर्दैन।

14 A man is satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth; and the recompense of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.मानिसको व्याख्याले धेरै असल चीजहरू प्रदान गर्छ अनि त्यसरी नै उसले गरेको कामले उसलाई लाभ दिन्छ।

15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes; but he that is wise hearkeneth unto counsel.एक मूर्खले उसले जे गर्छ त्यसैलाई ठीक सोच्छ तर एक ज्ञानीले अरूबाट उपदेश लिन्छ।

16 The vexation of the fool is presently known; but a prudent [man] covereth shame.एकजना मूर्ख मानिस छिटो रिसाउँछ, तर एक समझदार मानिस उसको अपमान सहन्छ।

17 He that uttereth truth sheweth forth righteousness; but a false witness deceit.एक सत्यवादी गावाहीले सत्य बयान दिन्छ तर एउटा झूटो साक्षीद्वारा दिएको बयान, झूटो हुन्छ।

18 There is that babbleth like the piercings of a sword; but the tongue of the wise is health.विचार नगरी बोलेको बचनले तरवारले झैं घोच्छ, तर ज्ञानी मानिसले सोचेर बोल्छ र उसले भनेको शब्दले मलमको काम गर्छ।

19 The lip of truth shall be established for ever; but a lying tongue is but for a moment.जो सत्य बोल्छ सदा स्थीर रहन्छ, तर जो झूटो बोल्छ केही क्षणको निम्ति मात्र रहन्छ।

20 Deceit is in the heart of them that devise evil; but to the counsellors of peace is joy.ती जसले दुष्ट योजना बनाउँछन् मनमा छलकपट लुकाउछन् तर ती जो शान्ति मार्गको उपदेश दिन्छन् सुखी हन्छन।

21 There shall no evil happen to a righteous [man]; but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.एकजना धर्मी व्याक्तिलाई हानी हुने छैन, दुष्टले धेरै दु;ख पाउँछ।

22 Lying lips are an abomination to Jehovah; but they that deal truly are his delight.परमप्रभुले झूटो ओंठलाई घृणा गर्नुुहुन्छ, तर सत्यवादी मानिस सित खुशी हुनुहुन्छ।

23 A prudent man concealeth knowledge; but the heart of the foolish proclaimeth folly.एकजना समझदार तथा ज्ञानी मानिसले आफ्नो ज्ञान आफूसित राख्छ, तर मूर्खले भने आफ्नो मूर्खता पूर्ण कुराहरू लगत्तै बोली हाल्छ।

24 The hand of the diligent shall bear rule; but the slothful [hand] shall be under tribute.मेहनती मानिस निरीक्षक बनाइन्छ, तर अल्छे मानिस सधैं कमारो हुनेछ।

25 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop; but a good word maketh it glad.चिन्ताले मानिसको सुखलाई लुटछ, तर खुशीको खबरले उसलाई माथि उठाउँछ।

26 The righteous guideth his neighbour; but the way of the wicked misleadeth them.धर्मी मानिसहरू सही काम गर्नुको निम्ति, एक साथ मिलेर काम गर्छन् ता दुष्ट मानिसहरूले बरालिने बाटो लिन्छन्।

27 The slothful roasteth not what he took in hunting; but man's precious substance is to the diligent.एकजना अल्छी मानिसले उसको शिकार भुट्दैन, तर परिश्रमी मानिसले धेरै सम्पत्ति प्रप्त गर्नेछ।

28 In the path of righteousness is life, and in the pathway thereof there is no death.धार्मीकताको मार्गले जीवनमा डोर्याउँछ। तर अधर्मीको मार्गले मृत्युमा डोर्याउँछ।
