Proverbs 10 - YLT (Nepali)

1 Proverbs of Solomon. A wise son causeth a father to rejoice, And a foolish son `is' an affliction to his mother.एकजना बुद्धिमानी छोरोले आफ्नो बाबुलाई आनन्द दिन्छ भने, एक मूर्ख छोरोले आफ्नी आमालाई कष्ट दिएको हुन्छ।

2 Treasures of wickedness profit not, And righteousness delivereth from death.खराब काम गरी कमाएको धन सदाको लागि व्यर्थ हुन्छ इमान्दारीताले मानिसहरूलाई मृत्युबाट बचाउँछ।

3 Jehovah causeth not the soul of the righteous to hunger, And the desire of the wicked He thrusteth away.परमप्रभुले धर्मीहरूलाई भोकै राख्नु हुन्न तर उहाँले दुष्ट मानिसको लालसालाई पनि विरोध गर्नु हुन्छ।

4 Poor `is' he who is working -- a slothful hand, And the hand of the diligent maketh rich.अल्छी मानिसले दरिद्रता निम्तयाँउछ भने, एक मेहनती मानिस धनी हुन्छ।

5 Whoso is gathering in summer `is' a wise son, Whoso is sleeping in harvest `is' a son causing shame.ग्रीष्म ऋतुमा जसले अन्न जम्मा गरेर राख्छ त्यो ज्ञानी मानिस हो तर जुन मानिस कटनीको समयमा सुत्छ त्यसले शरम ल्याउँछ।

6 Blessings `are' for the head of the righteous, And the mouth of the wicked cover doth violence.इमानदार मानिसको शिरमाथि आशीषहरू वर्षन्छन्, तर दुष्ट मानिसको मुखबाट घृणित कुराहरू मात्र निस्कन्छन्।

7 The remembrance of the righteous `is' for a blessing, And the name of the wicked doth rot.एकजना इमान्दार मानिसको स्मरण आशीर्वादको श्रोत हो तर दुष्ट मानिसको नामबाट दुर्गन्ध आँउछ।

8 The wise in heart accepteth commands, And a talkative fool kicketh.एकजना ज्ञानी मानिसले आज्ञाहरू पालन गर्छ। तर तर्क गर्ने मूर्खले आफैंलाई नासमा पुर्याउँछ।

9 Whoso is walking in integrity walketh confidently, And whoso is perverting his ways is known.ईमानदार मानिस सदा सर्वदाको लागि सुरक्षित भई रहन्छ भने एउटा दुष्ट मानिस अवश्य पतन हुन्छ।

10 Whoso is winking the eye giveth grief, And a talkative fool kicketh.सच्चाई लुकाउने मानिसले दुःख ल्याउँछ। खुलासँग बोल्ने मानिसले शान्ति ल्याउँछ।

11 A fountain of life `is' the mouth of the righteous, And the mouth of the wicked cover doth violence.इमान्दार मानिसको मुख जीवनको स्रोत हो, तर मूर्ख मानिसको मुखबाट घृणीत कुराहरू मात्र निस्कन्छन्।

12 Hatred awaketh contentions, And over all transgressions love covereth.घृणाले झगडा उत्पन्न गराउँछ, तर प्रेमले सबै अपराधहरूलाई क्षमा गर्छ।

13 In the lips of the intelligent is wisdom found, And a rod `is' for the back of him who is lacking understanding.बुद्धि, ज्ञानी मानिसहरूको मुखमा पाइन्छ, तर मूर्खलाई उसको पीठ्‌यूँमा लट्ठीले हिर्काइन्छ।

14 The wise lay up knowledge, and the mouth of a fool `is' near ruin.बुद्धिमानी मानिसहरूले ज्ञानलाई संचय गर्छन्, तर मूर्खको बोलीलो आपद-विपदहरू मात्र बोलाउँछ।

15 The wealth of the rich `is' his strong city, The ruin of the poor `is' their poverty.धनी मानिसलाई धनले रक्षा गर्छ तर दरिद्रताले गरीब मानिसहरूलाई नष्ट पार्छ।

16 The wage of the righteous `is' for life, The increase of the wicked for sin.एकजना इमान्दार मानिसले जे कमाउँछ, त्यसले जीवन प्रदान गर्छ, तर दुष्ट मानिसको कमाईहरू पापको निम्ति प्रयोग हुन्छ।

17 A traveller to life `is' he who is keeping instruction, And whoso is forsaking rebuke is erring.आफूले भोगेको सजायबाट जुन मानिसले शिक्षा लिन्छ उसले अन्य मानिसहरूलाई पनि बाँच्न सिकाउँछ। तर जुन मानिसले सजायबाट शिक्षा लिनु अस्वीकार गर्छ त्यसले अरूलाई पथभ्रष्ट बनाई दिन्छ।

18 Whoso is covering hatred with lying lips, And whoso is bringing out an evil report is a fool.जसले आफ्नो घृणा लुकाएर राख्छ, त्यो कपटी हो र जसले आफूले फैलाउनु सक्ने कथाहरू मात्र खोज्छ त्यो मूर्ख हो।

19 In the abundance of words transgression ceaseth not, And whoso is restraining his lips `is' wise.धेरै बोल्ने मानिसले प्रायः समस्या उबजाउँछ, तर चुपचाप रहने मानिस विवेकी हुन्छ।

20 The tongue of the righteous `is' chosen silver, The heart of the wicked -- as a little thing.इमान्दार मानिसको मुखबाट निस्केका शब्दहरू निखुर चाँदी झैं बहूमूल्य हुन् तर नराम्रो मानिसका विचारहरूको मूल्य हुँदैन।

21 The lips of the righteous delight many, And fools for lack of heart die.इमान्दार मानिसका वचनहरूले धेरै मानिसहरूलाई सहायता गर्छ, तर एउटा मूर्खको मूर्खयाँईंले उसलाई मार्छ।

22 The blessing of Jehovah -- it maketh rich, And He addeth no grief with it.परमेश्वरको आशीर्वादले धन सम्पत्ति ल्याउँछ अनि उहाँले यसमा कष्टहरू थप्नु हुन्न।

23 To execute inventions `is' as play to a fool, And wisdom to a man of understanding.एउटा मूर्ख मानिस दुष्कर्ममा रमाउँछ, तर समझदार मानिस ज्ञानमा खुशी हुन्छ।

24 The feared thing of the wicked it meeteth him, And the desire of the righteous is given.दुष्ट मानिसहरू जे कुरामा डराउनछन् तिनीहरूलाई त्यहि हुन्छ तर एउटा धर्मी मानिसले जे चिताँउछ त्यहि प्राप्त गर्छ।

25 As the passing by of a hurricane, So the wicked is not, And the righteous is a foundation age-during.आँधी-बेहरीले उडाएर लगे झैं दुष्ट मानिसहरू एक क्षणमै नष्ट हुन्छन्, तर धर्मी मानिस अनन्त सम्मै दृढ रहिरहन्छ।

26 As vinegar to the teeth, And as smoke to the eyes, So `is' the slothful to those sending him.जसले अल्छी मानिसलाई काम अह्राएर पठाउँछ उसलाई दाँतमा अमिलो सिरका परे झैं र आखाँमा धूवाँ लागे झैं हुन्छ।

27 The fear of Jehovah addeth days, And the years of the wicked are shortened.परमप्रभुको भयले मानिसको आयु बढाइ दिन्छ, तर दुष्ट मानिसको आयु घटूनेछ।

28 The hope of the righteous `is' joyful, And the expectation of the wicked perisheth.धर्मी मानिसका आशाहरू खुशीमा अन्त हुन्छन, तर दुष्ट मानिसहरूकाा आशाहरू शुन्यमा अन्त हुन्छ।

29 The way of Jehovah `is' strength to the perfect, And ruin to workers of iniquity.परमप्रभुको मार्ग धर्मी मानिसहरूको लागि शरणस्थान हो, तर दुष्ट मानिसहरूको लागि विध्वंस हो।

30 The righteous to the age is not moved, And the wicked inhabit not the earth.धर्मी व्याक्ति कहिले डग्मगाउदैन तर दुष्ट मानिसहरू पृथ्वीमा टिक्ने छैनन्।

31 The mouth of the righteous uttereth wisdom, And the tongue of frowardness is cut out.धर्मी मानिसले ज्ञानको उच्चारण गर्छ, तर एउटा कुटिल जिब्रो काटिनेछ।

32 The lips of the righteous know a pleasing thing, And the mouth of the wicked perverseness!एकजना धर्मी मानिसले ग्रहणयोग्य कुरा बोल्न जान्दछ तर एकजना दुष्ट मानसिले यस्ता मात्रै शब्द बोल्छ जसले दुःख दिन्छ।
