Proverbs 29 - YLT (Nepali)

1 A man often reproved, hardening the neck, Is suddenly broken, and there is no healing.यदि एकजना मानिस जसलाई प्रायः हप्काइन्छ तर ऊ अट्टेरी गर्छ भने उसको एक्कासी विनाश हुनेछ उसको लागि आशा हुँदैन।

2 In the multiplying of the righteous the people rejoice, And in the ruling of the wicked the people sigh.जब धर्मी मानिसहरू सत्तामा आउँछन् राज्य खुशी बन्छन् तर जब दुष्ट मानिस शासक बन्छ तब सबै मानिसहरू दुःखीत हुन्छन्।

3 A man loving wisdom rejoiceth his father, And a friend of harlots destroyeth wealth.यदि कुनै मानिसले ज्ञानलाई प्रेम गर्छ भने, उसको बाबु खुशी हुन्छन, तर वेश्याहरूको साथीले आफ्नो सम्पत्ति बरबाद गर्छ।

4 A king by judgment establisheth a land, And one receiving gifts throweth it down.एकजना राजाले आफ्नो राज्यलाई न्याय द्वारा बलियो राख्छ, तर घूस लिने मानिसले यसलाई सर्वनाश पार्छ।

5 A man taking a portion above his neighbour, Spreadeth a net for his own steps.जसले आफ्नो मित्र सित तेल घस्छ भने उसले आफ्नै खुट्टामा जाल फिंजाउँछ।

6 In the transgression of the evil `is' a snare, And the righteous doth sing and rejoice.पापीजनहरू स्वयं आफ्नो जालमा फस्छन् तर धर्मी जनहरू गीत गाउँछन् अनि खुशी रहन्छन्।

7 The righteous knoweth the plea of the poor, The wicked understandeth not knowledge.धर्मी मानिसहरूले बुझ्छन् कि गरीबले न्याय पाउँनुपर्छ। तर दुष्ट मानिसले गरीबको विषयमा चिन्ता नै गर्दैन।

8 Men of scorning ensnare a city, And the wise turn back anger.जसले आफैंलाई अरू भन्दा असल हुँ भन्ने सोच्छ त्यसले सारा शहर नै अस्त-व्यस्त पारिदिन्छ। तर बुद्धिमान मानिसहरूले जलि रहेको क्रोधालाई शान्त बनाउँछन्।

9 A wise man is judged by the foolish man, And he hath been angry, And he hath laughed, and there is no rest.बुद्धिमान मानिस जब मूर्खसित झगडा गर्छ तब मूर्खले तर्क गर्छ र मूर्खतापूर्वक बोल्छ त्यो बहसको कहिल्यै समाधान हुने छैन।

10 Men of blood hate the perfect, And the upright seek his soul.हत्यागर्ने मानिसले ईमानदारी मानिसलाई घृणा गर्छ, र उसलाई मार्न चाहान्छ।

11 A fool bringeth out all his mind, And the wise till afterwards restraineth it.मूर्ख मानिसले आफ्नो रिस थाम्दैन। तर बुद्धिमानी मानिसले आफ्नो रिसलाई नियन्त्रणमा राख्छ।

12 A ruler who is attending to lying words, All his ministers `are' wicked.यदि एकजना शासकले झूटो कुरामा ध्यान दियो भने उसका सबै सेवकहरू भ्रष्ट हुन्छन्।

13 The poor and the man of frauds have met together, Jehovah is enlightening the eyes of them both.गरीब मानिस र अत्याचारीले महसूस गर्नै पर्छ कि ती दुबै बराबर हुन कारण दुबैलाई परमप्रभुले नै सृष्टि गर्नुभएको हो।

14 a king that is judging truly the poor, His throne for ever is established.यदि कुनै राजाले गरीबहरूलाई न्यायपूर्वक हेरचाह गर्छन् भने, उनको शासन दीर्घकाल सुरक्षित रहनेछ।

15 A rod and reproof give wisdom, And a youth let away is shaming his mother.दण्ड अनि शिक्षाहरूले ज्ञानतिर डोर्याउँछ, तर एकजना छाडा छोडिएको छोरा आमाको लाज बन्छ।

16 In the multiplying of the wicked transgression multiplieth, And the righteous on their fall do look.खराब मानिसले राष्ट्रलाई शासन गर्छन भने पाप र अपराध बढदो हुनेछ तर आखिरमा धर्मीले दुष्टहरूको पतन देख्नेछन् र त्यस पछि तिनीहरूले विजय प्राप्त गर्नेछन्।

17 Chastise thy son, and he giveth thee comfort, Yea, he giveth delights to thy soul.तिम्रो छोरालाई शिक्षा देऊ अनि उसले तिमीमा शान्ति ल्याउँछ; उसले तिम्रो आत्मामा खुशी ल्याउनेछ।

18 Without a Vision is a people made naked, And whoso is keeping the law, O his happiness!जब दर्शन-प्रकाश हुँदैन मानिसहरू मनमानि गर्छन जो न्यायोचित भइरहन्छ उसले आशिष पाउँछ।

19 By words a servant is not instructed though he understand, And there is nothing answering.कुराले मात्र नोकरलाई सुधार्न सकिँदैन, कुरा बुझिहाले पनि उसले त्यसलाई स्वीकार्दैन।

20 Thou hast seen a man hasty in his words! More hope of a fool than of him.नसोची बोल्ने कुनै मानिसलाई तिमी चिन्दछौ? त्यस्तो मानिस भन्दा मूर्खको धेरै आशा गर्न सकिन्छ।

21 Whoso is bringing up his servant delicately, from youth, `At' his latter end also he is continuator.यदि तिमीले आफ्नो दासले जो माग्छ सो सधैं दिने गर्यो भने एकदिन यस्तो हुन्छ त्यो तिम्रो दास भएर रहँदैन।

22 An angry man stirreth up contention, And a furious man is multiplying transgression.क्रोधी मानिसले धेरै विवाद उठाउछ अनि क्रोध धेरै हुने मानिस धेरै पापहरूको अपराधी हुन्छ।

23 The pride of man humbleth him, And humility of spirit upholdeth honour.मानिसलाई अहंकारले होच्याउँछ, तर नम्र आत्मा भएको मानिसले सम्मान पाउँछ।

24 Whoso is sharing with a thief is hating his own soul, Execration he heareth, and telleth not.चोरको साथी ऊ आफ्नै शत्रु हो, जब उसले शपथ खानु पर्छ तब ऊ साक्षी बस्न धेरै डराउँछ।

25 Fear of man causeth a snare, And the confident in Jehovah is set on high.अरू मानिसहरूसँगको डर एउटा पासो झैं हो, यदि तिमीले परमप्रभुमाथि भरोसा गर्छौ भने, तिमी सुरक्षित रहनेछौ।

26 Many are seeking the face of a ruler, And from Jehovah `is' the judgment of each.धेरै मानिसहरूले न्याय पाउनको लागि शासकलाई हेर्न खोज्छन्, तर मानिसको इन्साफ परमप्रभुबाट मात्र आउँछ।

27 An abomination to the righteous `is' the perverse man, And an abomination to the wicked `is' the upright in the way!धर्मी मानिसहरूले बेईमानहरूलाई घृणा गर्छन्, फेरि बेईमान मानिसहरूले ईमानदार मानिसलाई घृणा गर्छन्।
