1 Now after the disease was over, the Lord said to Moses and Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest,त्यो डरलाग्दो महामारी पछि परमप्रभुले मोशा र पूजाहारी हारूनको छोरो एलाजारलाई भन्नुभयो,

2 Let all the children of Israel be numbered, by the names of their fathers' families, all those of twenty years old and over who are able to go to war in Israel.“सम्पूर्ण इस्राएली मानिसहरूको समुदायमा जो बीस वर्ष अथवा वेशी उमेरका छन्। तिनीहरूलाई गन र तिनीहरूलाई लडाँईमा जान उपयुक्त हुने परिवार अनुसार सूची बनाऊ।”

3 So Moses and Eleazar the priest gave them the order in the lowlands of Moab by Jordan at Jericho, saying,यसकारण मोशा र पूजाहारी एलाजारले तिनीहरूसित यरीहोको पारी यर्दन नदीको नजिक मोआबको मैदानमा कुरा गरे। “तिनीहरूले भने,

4 Let all the people of twenty years old and over be numbered, as the Lord has given orders to Moses and the children of Israel who have come out of Egypt.“इस्राएलका सबै मानिसहरू जो बीस वर्ष भन्दा माथिको छ सबैको गन्ती गर, परमप्रभुले मोशा र इस्राएलीहरूलाई आज्ञा गर्नु भए जस्तो जो मिश्रबाट बाहिर आए।”

5 Reuben, the first son of Israel: the sons of Reuben by their families: of Hanoch, the family of the Hanochites: of Pallu, the family of the Palluites:रूबेन इस्राएलको जेठो छोरो हो। रूबेनका सन्तान यस प्रकारले छन्;हनोकबाट हनोकीहरूको कुलसमूह, पल्लूबाट पल्लूईहरूको कुल समूह,

6 Of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites: of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.हिस्रोनबाट हिस्रोनीहरूको कुलसमूह, कर्मीबाट कर्मीहरूको कुल समूह।

7 These are the families of the Reubenites: their number was forty-three thousand, seven hundred and thirty.रूबेनहरूका कुलका कुलसमूह यिनीहरू नै थिए। मानिसहरूको जन संख्या 43,730 थियो।

8 And the sons of Pallu, Eliabपल्लूका छोरो एलीआब थिए।

9 And the sons of Eliab: Nemuel and Dathan and Abiram. These are the same Dathan and Abiram who had a place in the meeting of the people, who together with Korah made an outcry against Moses and Aaron and against the Lord:एलीआबका छोराहरू नमूएल, दातान र अबीराम थिए। यी तिनै दातान र अबीराम हुन् जसलाई समुदायबाट चुने अनि तिनीहरू नै मोशा र हारूनको विरोधमा गए। जब तिनीहरूले परमप्रभुको विरोध गरे दातान र अबीराम कोरहको अनुयायीहरूको वीचमा थिए।

10 And they went down into the open mouth of the earth, together with Korah, when death overtook him and all his band; at the time when two hundred and fifty men were burned in the fire, and they became a sign.अनि पृथ्वी र्चकिएर मुख बायो अनि कोरह र तिनीहरूलाई निल्यो। जब कोरहको अनुयायीहरू मरे अनि जब 250 जना मानिसहरूलाई आगोले भस्म पार्यो मानिसहरूलाई चेतावनीको निम्ति एउटा दृष्टान्त भयो।

11 But death did not overtake the sons of Korah.तर कोरहका छोराहरू मरेनन्।

12 The sons of Simeon by their families: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites: of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites: of Jachin, the family of the Jachinites:कुलसमूह अनुसार शिमोनको सन्तानहरू यी नै हुन्;नमूएलबाट नमूएलको कुलसमूह, यामीनबाट यामीनीहरूको कुलसमूह, याकीनबाट याकीनीको कुलसमूह,

13 Of Zerah, the family of the Zerahites: of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.जेरहबाट जेरहीहरूको कुलसमूह, शाऊलबाट शाऊलहीहरूको कुलसमूह,

14 These are the families of the Simeonites, twenty-two thousand, two hundred.शिमोनहरूका कुलका कुलसमूहहरू यी नै थिए। तिनीहरूमा जम्मा 22,200 मानिसहरू थिए।

15 The sons of Gad by their families: of Zephon, the family of the Zephonites: of Haggi, the family of the Haggites: of Shuni, the family of the Shunites:तिनीहरूको कुलसमूह अनुसार गादको कुलसमूह यस प्रकारको थियोःसपोनबाट सपोनीहरूको कुलसमूह, हाग्गैबाट हाग्गैहरूको कुलसमूह, शूनीबाट शूनीहरूको कुलसमूह,

16 Of Ozni, the family of the Oznites: of Eri, the family of the Erites:ओजनीबाट ओजनीहरूको कुलसमूह, एरीबाट एरीहरूको कुलसमूह,

17 Of Arod, the family of the Arodites: of Areli, the family of the Arelites.अरोदाबाट अरोदाहरूको कुलसमूह अरेलीबाट अरेलीहरूको कुलसमूह भए।

18 These are the families of the sons of Gad as they were numbered, forty thousand, five hundred.गादाहरूको कुलका कुलसमूहहरू यस प्रकारका थिए र तिनीहरूको जन संख्या 40, 500 थियो।

19 The sons of Judah, Er and Onan: and Er and Onan had come to their death in the land of Canaan.यहूदाका छोराहरू एर र ओनान थिए र तिनीहरू कनान देशमा मरे।

20 And the sons of Judah by their families were: of Shelah, the family of the Shelahites: of Perez, the family of the Perezites: of Zerah, the family of the Zerahites.तिनीहरूको कुलसमूह अनुसार यहूदाको सन्तान यस प्रकारको थियोःशेलहबाट शेलानीहरूको कुलसमूह, पेरेसबाट पेरेसीहरूको कुलसमूह, जेरहबाट जेरहातीहरूको कुलसमूह भए।

21 And the sons of Perez were: of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites: of Hamul, the family of the Hamulites.पेरेसका सन्तानहरू यस प्रकारका थिएः हेस्रोनबाट हेस्रोनीहरूको कुलसमूह, हमूलबाट हामूलीहरूको कुलसमूह।

22 These are the families of Judah as they were numbered, seventy-six thousand, five hundred.यहूदाको कुलका कुलसमूहहरू यही हो र तिनीहरूको जम्मा जन-संख्या 76,500 थियो।

23 The sons of Issachar by their families: of Tola, the family of the Tolaites: of Puvah, the family of the Punites:तिनीहरूको कुलसमूह अनुसार इस्साकारको सन्तान यस प्रकारको थियोःतोलाबाट तोलाहीहरूको कुलसमूह, पुव्वाबाट पुव्वाहीहरूको कुलसमूह।

24 Of Jashub, the family of the Jashubites: of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites.याशूबबाट याशूबीहरूको कुलसमूह, हिम्रोनबाट हिम्रोनीहरूको कुलसमूह।

25 These are the families of Issachar, as they were numbered, sixty-four thousand, three hundred.इस्साकारको कुलका कुलसमूहहरू यही हो र तिनीहरूको जनसंख्या 64,300 थियो।

26 The sons of Zebulun by their families: of Sered, the family of the Seredites: of Elon, the family of the Elonites: of Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites.तिनीहरूको कुलसमूह अनुसार जबूलूनको सन्तान यस प्रकारको थियोःसेरेदबाट सेरेदीहरूको कुलसमूह, एलोनबाट एलोनीहरूको कुलसमूह, यहलेलबाट यहेलेलीको कुलसमूह भए।

27 These are the families of the Zebulunites as they were numbered, sixty thousand, five hundred.जबूलूनको कुलका कुलसमूहहरू यही हो र तिनीहरूको जनसंख्या 60,500 थियो।

28 The sons of Joseph by their families: Manasseh and Ephraim.यूसुफका मनश्शे र एप्रैम नाम गरेका दुई जना छोराहरू थिए।

29 The sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites: and Machir was the father of Gilead: of Gilead, the family of the Gileadites.मनश्शेबाट भएका सन्तानहरू यिनीहरू नै हुन्माकीरबाट माकीरी कुलसमूह, (माकीर गिलादका बाबु थिए) गिलादबाट गिलादीहरूको कुलसमूह,

30 These are the sons of Gilead: of Iezer, the family of the Iezerites: of Helek, the family of the Helekites:गिलादबाट भएका सन्तानहरूः ईएजरेबाट ईएजेरीहरूको कुलसमूह, हेलेकबाट हेलेकीहरूको कुलसमूह,

31 And of Asriel, the family of the Asrielites: and of Shechem, the family of the Shechemites:अस्त्रीएलबाट अस्त्रीलीहरूको कुलसमूह, शेकेमबाट शेकेमीहरूको कुलसमूह,

32 And of Shemida, the family of the Shemidaites: and of Hepher, the family of the Hepherites.शमीदाबाट शमीदीहरूको कुलसमूह, हपेरबाट हेपेरीहरूको कुलसमूह

33 And Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, had no sons, but only daughters, and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.सलोफाहद हेपेरका छोरो थिए। यिनीबाट कुनै छोरो जन्मेन तर छोरीहरू मात्रै जन्मे। शलोफाहदका छोरीहरू थिए महला, नोआ, होग्लाह, मिल्का अनि तिर्सा।

34 These are the families of Manasseh; and those who were numbered of them were fifty-two thousand, seven hundred.मनश्शेको कुलको कुलसमूहहरू यस प्रकारको छ। तिनीहरूको जन संख्या 52,700 थियो।

35 These are the sons of Ephraim by their families: of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthelahites: of Becher, the family of the Becherites: of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.एप्रैमको कुलसमूह यस प्रकार छःशूतेलहबाट शूतेलहीहरूको कुलसमूह, बेकेरबाट बेकेरीहरूको कुलसमूह, तहनबाट तहनीहरूको कुलसमूह।

36 And these are the sons of Shuthelah: of Eran, the family of the Eranites:शूतेलहका कुलसमूह यस प्रकारका थिएः एरानबाट एरानीहरूको कुलसमूह।

37 These are the families of Ephraim as they were numbered, thirty-two thousand, five hundred. These are the sons of Joseph by their families.एप्रैमको कुलका कुलसमूहहरू यस प्रकार थिए अनि तिनीहरू को जन-संख्या 32,500 थियो। यूसुफको कुल कुलसमूहहरू तिनीहरू नै हुन्।

38 The sons of Benjamin by their families: of Bela, the family of the Belaites: of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites: of Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites:बिन्यामीनका कुलसमूहहरू यिनीहरू हुन्;बेलाबाट बेलाही कुलसमूह, अशबेलबाट अशबेलिहरूको कुलसमूह, अहीरामबाट अहीरामीहरूको कुलसमूह,

39 Of Shephupham, the family of the Shuphamites: and of Hupham, the family of the Huphamites.शूपामबाट शपामीहरूको कुलसमूह हूपामबाट हुपामीहरूको कुलसमूह भए।

40 And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman: of Ard, the family of the Ardites: of Naaman, the family of the Naamites.अर्द र नामन बेलाका छोराहरू हुन्; अर्दबाट अर्दीहरूको कुलसमूह, नामानबाट नामानीहरूको कुलसमूह भए।

41 These are the sons of Benjamin by their families: and those who were numbered of them were forty-five thousand, six hundred.बिन्यामीनको कुलका कुलसमूहहरू यिनीहरू नै थिए। तिनीहरूको जन-संख्या 45,600 थियो।

42 These are the sons of Dan by their families: of Shuham, the family of the Shuhamites. These are the families of Dan by their families.दानका कुलसमूह यिनीहरू हुन्; सूहामबाट शूहामीहरूको कुलसमूह

43 All the families of the Shuhamites, as they were numbered, were sixty-four thousand, four hundred.दानको कुलका कुलसमूहहरू यिनीहरू नै थिए अनि सबै सूहामीहरूको जन-संख्या 64,400 थियो।

44 The sons of Asher by their families: of Imnah, the family of the Imnites: of Ishvi, the family of the Ishvites: of Beriah, the family of the Beriites.आशेरको कुलसमूहहरू यस प्रकार थिएः यिम्नाहबाट यिम्नानीहरूको कुलसमूह, यिशवी बाट यिश्वीहरूको कुलसमूह, बेरीयहबाट बेरीयाहरूको कुलसमूह,

45 Of the sons of Beriah: of Heber, the family of the Heberites: of Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites:बेरीयाहबाट यी परिवारहरू थिएः हेबेरबाट हेबेरीहरूको कुलसमूह, मल्कीएलबाट मल्कीएहरूको कुलसमूह।

46 And the name of the daughter of Asher was Serah.(आशेरको सेरह नाम गरकी छोरी थिई)।

47 These are the families of the sons of Asher as they were numbered, fifty-three thousand, four hundred.कुलसमूह अनुसार आशेरकुलका यही कुलसमूहहरू थिए र तिनीहरूको जन-संख्या 53,400 थियो।

48 The sons of Naphtali by their families: of Jahzeel, the family of the Jahzeelites: of Guni, the family of the Gunites:कुलसमूह अनुसार नप्तालीबाट यी कुलसमूहहरू थिएःयहसेलबाट यहसेलीहरूको कुलसमूह, गुनीबाट गुनीहरूको कुलसमूह

49 Of Jezer, the family of the Jezerites: of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.येसेरबाट येसेरीहरूको वशं शिल्लेमबाट शिल्लेमीहरूको कुलसमूह।

50 These are the families of Naphtali by their families: and those who were numbered of them were forty-five thousand, four hundred.कुलसमूह अनुसार नप्ताली कुलका कुलसमूहहरू यिनीहरू नै थिए अनि यिनीहरूको जन-संख्या 45,400 थियो।

51 Those who were numbered of the children of Israel were six hundred and one thousand, seven hundred and thirty.यसर्थ इस्राएली मानिसहरूको जन-संख्या 6,01,730 थियो।

52 And the Lord said to Moses,परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो,

53 Let there be a division of the land among these, for their heritage, in relation to the number of names.“यी मानिसहरू माझ भूमि वितरण गरिन्छ र तिनीहरूलाई दिइन्छ। यसरी ती सबै गन्तीमा परेका मानिसहरू प्रत्येकले प्रशस्त भूमि पाउनेछन्।

54 To those families who are more in number, give a greater heritage; to those who are less in number, a smaller part: to every one let the heritage be given in relation to the number in his family.ठूलो परिवारले धेरै र सानो परिवारले कम्ती गरी भूमि पाउनेछन्। तिनीहरूलाई दिइएको भूमि गन्ती गरिएका मानिसहरू बराबर हुनेछ।

55 But let the distribution of the land be made by the decision of the Lord: by the names of the tribes of their fathers let their heritage be given them.तर कसले कुन इलाका पाउने हो त्यो चिठ्ठा द्वारा निर्णय गरिनेछ अनि आफ्ना पुर्खाका कुल अनुसार नाममा तिनीहरू आफ्नो इलाका निर्धारित हुनेछ।

56 As it is ordered by the decision of the Lord, let distribution be made between those who are more in number and those who are less.प्रत्येक कुल समूहको अंश चिठ्ठा द्वारा निर्धारण गरिनेछ।”

57 These were those of the Levites who were numbered by their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites: of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites: of Merari, the family of the Merarites.कुलसमूह अनुसार गन्ती गरिएका लेवीकुलका कुलसमूहहरू यिनीहरू नै हुन्।गेर्शोनबाट गेर्शोनीहरूको कुलसमूह कहातबाट कहातीहरूको कुलसमूह मरारीबाट मरारीहरूको कुलसमूह भए।

58 These are the families of Levi: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korahites. And Kohath was the father of Amram.लेवी कुलको कुलसमूहहरू यी नै हुन्।लिब्नीहरूको कुलसमूह, हेब्रोनीहरूको कुलसमूह, महलीहरूको कुलसमूह, मूशीहरूको कोरहीहरूको कुलसमूह।कहात अम्रामका पिता थिए।

59 Amram's wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, whom he had in Egypt: by Amram she had Moses and Aaron and their sister Miriam.अम्रामकी पत्नीको नाम योकेबेद थियो अनि तिनी लेवी कुलसमूहकी थिइन्। तिनी मिश्रदेशमा लेवी कुलमा जन्मेकी थिइन्। अनि योकेबेल आम्रामका निम्ति, हारून, मोशा र मरियमलाई जन्माईन्।

60 Aaron's sons were Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.हारून नादाब, अबीहू, एलाजार अनि इतामारका पिता थिए।

61 Death overtook Nadab and Abihu when they made an offering of strange fire before the Lord.तर नादाब र अबीहू परमप्रभुको अघि अनुमति नभएको आगोमा बलि चढाएको कारणले मरे।

62 Of these, twenty-three thousand males, from one month old and over, were numbered: they were not numbered with the rest of the children of Israel, for they had no heritage among the children of Israel.एक महीना र अधिक उमरेका पुरूष गन्दा लेवीहरूको संख्या 23,000 थियो। तिनीहरू मानिसहरूसित गनिएनन कारण तिनीहरूले इस्राएलका मानिसहरूसित भूमिमा अंश पाएनन्।

63 All these were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest when the children of Israel were numbered in the lowlands of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.यी मानिसहरूको गन्ती मोशा र पूजाहारी एलाजारले गरेका थिए। मोशा र एलाजार पूजाहारीले इस्राएली मानिसहरूको गन्ती यरीहोको पारी यर्दन नदीको किनार मोआबको मैदानमा गरेका थिए।

64 But among all these was not one of those numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest when the children of Israel were numbered in the waste land of Sinai.धेरै दिन अघि सिनै मरूभूमिमा मोशा र हारूनले जुन इस्राएली मानिसहरूको गन्ती गरेका थिए तिनीहरू मरिसके अनि तिनीहरूमा कोही पनि जीवित थिएनन्।

65 For the Lord had said of them, Death will certainly overtake them in the waste land. And of them all, only Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua, the son of Nun, were still living.किन? किनभने तिनीहरू मरूभूमिमा मर्छन भनी परमप्रभुले भन्नु भएको थियो। तिनीहरू मध्ये बाँचेकाहरू हुन् यपुन्नेको छोरो कालेब र नूनको छोरो यहोशू।
