परमप्रभुले हामीलाई भूमि दिन्छु भनी हाम्रा पिता-पुर्खाहरूसँग प्रतिज्ञा गर्नु भएको थियो, तर, ती मानिसहरूका कारण परमेश्वरले मानिसहरूलाई मरूभूमिमा चालीस वर्षसम्म यता उता घुम्न बाध्य गराउनु भयो जबसम्म ती सबै लडाकू मानिसहरू मरेनन् अनि तिनीहरूका छोराहरूले तिनीहरूका स्थान लिए।
