Proverbs 22 - BBE (Nepali)

1 A good name is more to be desired than great wealth, and to be respected is better than silver and gold.धन सम्पत्तीको मालिक हुनु भन्दा सम्मान पाउनु असल हो। सम्मानित हुनु सुन चाँदी भन्दा उत्तम हो।

2 The man of wealth and the poor man come face to face: the Lord is the maker of them all.सबै परमप्रभुका सृष्टि हुन यसर्थ कुन धनी कुन गरीब बराबरी हो।

3 The sharp man sees the evil and takes cover: the simple go straight on and get into trouble.एउटा बुद्धिमान मानिसले कष्टलाई पहिले नै देखेर यसबाट अघि नै तर्किन्छ, तर अनुभव नभएका मानिसहरू सिधै ती कष्टहरूमा पर्छन अनि दुःख पाउँछन्।

4 The reward of a gentle spirit and the fear of the Lord is wealth and honour and life.नम्र बन अनि परमप्रभुलाई आदर गर, तब तिमीहरू बाच्नेछौ अनि धन र सम्मान पाउने छौ।

5 Thorns and nets are in the way of the twisted: he who keeps watch over his soul will be far from them.दुष्ट मानिस नाना थरीका फंदामा पर्छ, तर आफ्नो आत्माको पर्वाह गर्ने मानिस यस्तो कष्ट देखि टाडो बस्छ।

6 If a child is trained up in the right way, even when he is old he will not be turned away from it.नानीहरूलाई सही जीवन निर्वाह गर्नु सानै बाट सिकाउनु पर्छ, तब त्यो नानी बढे पनि त्यही प्रकारले जीवन यापन् गर्छ।

7 The man of wealth has rule over the poor, and he who gets into debt is a servant to his creditor.धनी मानिसहरूले गरीब मानिसहरूलाई शासन गर्छन् अनि उधारो लिनेहरू उधारो दिनेहरूको कमारा बन्छन्।

8 By planting the seed of evil a man will get in the grain of sorrow, and the rod of his wrath will be broken.अन्याय रोप्ने मानिसले आफन्तको वाली काट्छ अनि उसको अत्याचारी शासनको अन्त हुन्छ।

9 He who is kind will have a blessing, for he gives of his bread to the poor.एकजना उदार योग्य मानिसले आशिषू पाउँछ। उसले आशिषू पाउँछ किनभने उसले आफ्नो भोजन गरीबलाई दिन्छ।

10 Send away the man of pride, and argument will go out; truly fighting and shame will come to an end.यदि कुनै मानिसले अरूलाई खिसी गर्छ भने उसलाई त्यहाँबाट बल लगाएर निकाली देऊ। जब ऊ मानिस नै हट्छ झगडाहरू जान्छ र अनि लडाईं र अपमानहरू पनि सकिन्छ।

11 He whose heart is clean is dear to the Lord; for the grace of his lips the king will be his friend.एउटा मानिस जसले शुद्ध हृदयलाई प्रेम गर्छ, जसको बोलीवचन करूणामय हुन्छ, ऊ राजाको मित्र हुनेछ।

12 The eyes of the Lord keep knowledge, but by him the acts of the false man will be overturned.परमप्रभुले सत्यता माथि पहरा दिनु हुन्छ, अनि अविश्वासी मानिसहरूले भनेका कुराहरूलाई विफल बनाउनु हुन्छ।

13 The hater of work says, There is a lion outside: I will be put to death in the streets.अलछे मानिसले भन्छ, “सिंह बाहिर बसिरहेको छ,” अथवा “म गल्लीमा मारिनेछु।”

14 The mouth of strange women is a deep hole: he with whom the Lord is angry will go down into it.व्यभिचारी पापको जाल हो यसर्थ परमप्रभु यस्तो जालमा फँस्नेसित अत्यन्तै क्रोधित हुनुहुन्छ।

15 Foolish ways are deep-seated in the heart of a child, but the rod of punishment will send them far from him.नानीको मनका मूर्खता रहेको हुन्छ। अनुशसनको डण्डाले यस मूर्खतालाई ऊबाट भगाइन्छ।

16 He who is cruel to the poor for the purpose of increasing his profit, and he who gives to the man of wealth, will only come to be in need.आफ्नो धन बढाउनु जसले गरीबलाई ठग्छ अनि धनी मानिसलाई उपहार चढाउँछ भने ती दुवै जना पछि दरिद्र हुन्छन्।

17 Let your ear be bent down for hearing my words, and let your heart give thought to knowledge.राम्रोसंग ध्यान देऊ, म के भन्छु सुन। म तिमीहरूलाई त्यो ज्ञान शिकाउने छु, जुन ज्ञानी मानिसहरूले मलाई दिएका छन्। मैले त्यो शिक्षाहरूबाट सिकें।

18 For it is a delight to keep them in your heart, to have them ready on your lips.यदि तिमीले यी कुराहरू याद राख्यौ भने असल हुनेछ। यी वचनहरू भन्नु सक्यौ भने तिमीलाई सहायता हुनेछ।

19 So that your faith may be in the Lord, I have made them clear to you this day, even to you.अब म तिमीलाई ती कुराहरू नै सिकाउनेछु र म चाहन्छु, कि तिमीले परमप्रभु माथि भरोसा गर।

20 Have I not put in writing for you thirty sayings, with wise suggestions and knowledge,तिम्रो लागि मैले तीसओटा नीति-वचनहरू लेखेकोछु, यी सबै ज्ञान र उपदेशका वचनहरू हुन्।

21 To make you see how certain are true words, so that you may give a true answer to those who put questions to you?यी वचनहरूले सत्य र महत्वपूर्ण कुराहरू सिकाउँछ। तब तिमीलाई जसले पठाउनु भएको छ उहाँलाई सही जवाफ दिन सक्छौ।-1-

22 Do not take away the property of the poor man because he is poor, or be cruel to the crushed ones when they come before the judge:गरीबलाई शोषण नगर किनभने तिनीहरू गरीब छन्, अनि गरीबलाई अदालतमा न्यायबाट बञ्चित नगर

23 For the Lord will give support to their cause, and take the life of those who take their goods.परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूको मुद्दाको पक्ष लिनु हुन्छ, अनि उहाँले तिनीहरूको जीवन लिनु हुनेछ जसले उनीहरूलाई लुट्छन र शोषण गर्छन्।-2-

24 Do not be friends with a man who is given to wrath; do not go in the company of an angry man:झट्टै रिसाउने मानिससित मित्रता नजोड। सितिमिति रिसाउने मानिससित संगत नगर।

25 For fear of learning his ways and making a net ready for your soul.नत्र भने तिमीले उसको बाटो जान्ने छौ र फन्दामा फँस्ने छौ।-3-

26 Be not one of those who give their hands in an agreement, or of those who make themselves responsible for debts:कहिल्यै कसैको जिम्मवारी लिने नहोऊ अर्काले लिएको ऋणको लागि जमानी नबस्।

27 If you have nothing with which to make payment, he will take away your bed from under you.तिमीले त्यो ऋण चुक्ता गराउनु नसके निमीकहाँ भएको सबै गुमाउनु पर्नेछ। तिमीले आफ्नो ओढने ओछ्याउने सम्म गुमाउनु पर्नेछ।-4-

28 Let not the old landmark be moved which your fathers have put in place.तिम्रो जमीन जसमा सिमाना तिम्रा पुर्खाहरूले कोरेका हुन, त्यो सिमाना कहिल्यै हल्लिन नदेऊ।-5-

29 Have you seen a man who is expert in his business? he will take his place before kings; his place will not be among low persons.यदि कोही मानिस आफ्नो काममा निपुण छ भने ऊ राजाको सेवा गर्ने योग्यको हुन्छ। उसले नचिनेका मानिसहरूको सेवा गर्दैन।-6-
