Genesis 38:28
जुन समयमा उनले नानी जन्माँउदै थिई एउटा नानीको एउटा हात बाहिर निस्कियो। सुँडेनीले त्यो नानीको हातमा रातो धागो बाँधेर भनी, “यो नानी पहिले जन्मन्छ।”

| took | הַמְיַלֶּ֗דֶת | hamyalledet | hahm-ya-LEH-det |
| and bound | וַתִּקְשֹׁ֨ר | wattiqšōr | va-teek-SHORE |
| upon | עַל | ʿal | al |
| his hand | יָד֤וֹ | yādô | ya-DOH |
| thread, scarlet a | שָׁנִי֙ | šāniy | sha-NEE |
| saying, | לֵאמֹ֔ר | lēʾmōr | lay-MORE |
| This | זֶ֖ה | ze | zeh |
| came out | יָצָ֥א | yāṣāʾ | ya-TSA |
| first. | רִֽאשֹׁנָֽה׃ | riʾšōnâ | REE-shoh-NA |
