Genesis 3:16
त्यसपछि परमप्रभु परमेश्वरले त्यस स्त्रीलाई भन्नुभयो,“जब तिमी गर्भधारण गर्नेछौ त्यस अवस्थामा म तिमीलाई अति कष्ट दिनेछु र आफ्नो सन्तान जन्माउने बेलामा तिमीले साह्रै नै प्रसव वेदना सहनु पर्नेछ। तिमी आफ्नो पतिको चाहना गर्नेछौ। तर उनले तिमीलाई शासन गर्नेछ।”

| and thy conception; | וְהֵֽרֹנֵ֔ךְ | wĕhērōnēk | veh-hay-roh-NAKE |
| in sorrow | בְּעֶ֖צֶב | bĕʿeṣeb | beh-EH-tsev |
| forth bring shalt thou | תֵּֽלְדִ֣י | tēlĕdî | tay-leh-DEE |
| children; | בָנִ֑ים | bānîm | va-NEEM |
| and thy desire | וְאֶל | wĕʾel | veh-EL |
| to be shall | אִישֵׁךְ֙ | ʾîšēk | ee-shake |
| thy husband, | תְּשׁ֣וּקָתֵ֔ךְ | tĕšûqātēk | teh-SHOO-ka-TAKE |
| and he | וְה֖וּא | wĕhûʾ | veh-HOO |
| shall rule | יִמְשָׁל | yimšāl | yeem-SHAHL |
