Deuteronomy 23
1 “गुप्ताअंग कुच्चिएका अथवा लिङ्ग काटिएका मानिसहरूले इस्राएलका मानिसहरूसंग परमप्रभुको पूजामा भाग लिन सएदैनन्।
2 यदि कसैको माता-पिताको विधिपूर्वक विवाह भएको छैन। तिनीहरू पूजामा सम्मिलित हुन पाउने छैनन्। दश पुस्तासम्म तिनीहरूका सन्तानहरूले पनि पूजामा मिसिन पाउने छैनन्।
3 “अम्मोनी र मोआबी तथा तिनीहरूका सन्तानले दश पुस्तासम्म परमप्रभुको सभामा इस्राएल बासीहरूसँग सम्मिलित हुन सक्तैनन्।
4 किन? किनभने तिनीहरूले मिश्र देशबाट निएलेर यात्रा गरेको समयमा तिमीहरूलाई रोटी र पानी दिन अस्वीकार गरेका थिए। तिनीहरूले मेसोपोटामियामा पतोरको शहरमा बस्ने बओरको छोरा बिलामलाई तिमीहरूलाई सराप्नुको निम्ति पैसा दिएर बोलाए।
5 तर परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले बिलामका कुरा सुन्नु भएन र तिनको सराप परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूको निम्ति आशीर्वादमा परिणत गरिदिनु भयो। कारण परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूलाई प्रेम गर्नुहुन्थ्यो।
6 जबसम्म तिमीहरू बाँचिरहन्छौ तबसम्म अम्मोनी र मोआबीहरूसित कहिल्यै सन्धि स्थापित गर्नु हुँदैन तथा कदापि तिनीहरूसित मैत्री सन्धि गर्नु हुँदैन।
1 He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord.
2 A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the Lord.
3 An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the Lord for ever:
4 Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
5 Nevertheless the Lord thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the Lord thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the Lord thy God loved thee.
6 Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.

2 यदि कसैको माता-पिताको विधिपूर्वक विवाह भएको छैन। तिनीहरू पूजामा सम्मिलित हुन पाउने छैनन्। दश पुस्तासम्म तिनीहरूका सन्तानहरूले पनि पूजामा मिसिन पाउने छैनन्।

4 किन? किनभने तिनीहरूले मिश्र देशबाट निएलेर यात्रा गरेको समयमा तिमीहरूलाई रोटी र पानी दिन अस्वीकार गरेका थिए। तिनीहरूले मेसोपोटामियामा पतोरको शहरमा बस्ने बओरको छोरा बिलामलाई तिमीहरूलाई सराप्नुको निम्ति पैसा दिएर बोलाए।
Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
5 तर परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले बिलामका कुरा सुन्नु भएन र तिनको सराप परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूको निम्ति आशीर्वादमा परिणत गरिदिनु भयो। कारण परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूलाई प्रेम गर्नुहुन्थ्यो।
Nevertheless the Lord thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the Lord thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the Lord thy God loved thee.
6 जबसम्म तिमीहरू बाँचिरहन्छौ तबसम्म अम्मोनी र मोआबीहरूसित कहिल्यै सन्धि स्थापित गर्नु हुँदैन तथा कदापि तिनीहरूसित मैत्री सन्धि गर्नु हुँदैन।
Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.
