तब दाऊदले आफूसँग यरूशलेममा छाडीएका अधिकारीहरूलाई भने, “हामी चाँडै जाऊँ। यदि भागेनौं भने अब्शालोमले हामीलाई छोडने छैन। छिटो गरी यहाँबाट भागौं होइन भने अब्शालोम आइपुग्छ। हामीलाई खत्तम गर्नेछ। अनि त्यसले यरूशलेमका सबै मानिसहरूलाई मार्नेछ।”
