नबूकदनेस्सरका सेनाहरूले अन्तमा शहरको भित्तालाई भत्काए। त्यस रात राजा सिदकियाह र उनका सबै सैनिकहरू भागे। तिनीहरूले गोप्यद्वार प्रयोग गरे जुन दुइ पर्खाल भएर गएको थियो। यो राजाको बगैंचा भएर गएको थियो। शत्रुका सैनिकहरू शहरको वरिपरि थिए तर सिदकियाह र उनका मानिसहरू मरूभूतिको बाटो भएर भागे।
