1 And Jehoshaphat hath riches and honour in abundance, and joineth affinity to Ahab,यहोशापात सित प्रशस्त धन-सम्पत्ति अनि सम्मान थियो। उसले आहाबसित उसको परिवारालाई विवाह गरेर सन्धि गरेका थिए।

2 and goeth down at the end of `certain' years unto Ahab to Samaria, and Ahab sacrificeth for him sheep and oxen in abundance, and for the people who `are' with him, and persuadeth him to go up unto Ramoth-Gilead.केही वर्ष पछि, यहोशापात आहाब सित भेट गर्न सामरिया शहरमा गए। आहाबले यहोशापात अनि तिनी सित भएका मानिसहरूका निम्ति धेरै भेडा अनि गाईहरू बलि चढाए। आहाबले रामोत गिलाद शहर माथि आक्रमण गर्न यहोशापातलाई उत्साहित तुल्याए।

3 And Ahab king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, `Dost thou go with me `to' Ramoth-Gilead?' And he saith to him, `As I -- so thou, and as thy people -- my people, even with thee in battle.'आहाबले यहोशापातलाई भने, “तपाईं म सित रामोत गिलाद माथि आक्रमण गर्न जानु हुन्छ?” आहाब इस्राएलका राजा थिए अनि यहोशापात यहूदाका राजा थिए। यहोशापातले आहाबलाई उत्तर दिए, “म तपाईं जस्तै हुँ अनि मेरा मानिसहरू तपाईंका मानिसहरू जस्तै हुन्। हामी युद्धमा तपाईंको साथ दिनेछौं।”

4 And Jehoshaphat saith unto the king of Israel, `Seek, I pray thee, this day, the word of Jehovah.'यहोशापातले आहाबलाई यो पनि भने, “तर पहिला हामी परमप्रभुबाट संन्देश प्राप्त गरौं।”

5 And the king of Israel gathereth the prophets, four hundred men, and saith unto them, `Do we go unto Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or do I forbear?' And they say, `Go up, and God doth give `it' into the hand of the king.'यसर्थ राजा आहाबले अगमवक्ताहरू एकत्रित गरे 400 मानिसहरू। आहाबले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “हामी रामोत गिलाद शहरको विरूद्ध लडाई गर्न जाऊँ कि नजाऊँ?” अगमवक्ताहरूले आहाबलाई उत्तर दिए, “जानुहोस्, किनभने परमेश्वरले तपाईंलाई रामोत-गिलादलाई परास्त गर्न दिनु हुनेछ।”

6 And Jehoshaphat saith, `Is there not here a prophet of Jehovah still, and we seek from him?'तर यहोशापातले भने, “के यहाँ परमप्रभुको अगमवक्ता कोही छन्? हामीले परमप्रभुलाई उहाँका एक अगमवक्ताद्वारा याचना गर्न आवश्यक छ।”

7 And the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat, `Still -- one man to seek Jehovah from him, and I -- I have hated him, for he is not prophesying concerning me of good, but all his days of evil, he `is' Micaiah son of Imlah;' and Jehoshaphat saith, `Let not the king say so.'तब राजा आहाबले यहोशापातलाई भने, “यहाँ अझ पनि एक व्यक्ति छ। हामी तिनीद्वारा परमप्रभुसित सोध्न सक्छौं। तर म यो मान्छेलाई घृणा गर्छु, किनभने परमप्रभुबाट मेरो बारेमा तिनीसित असल संन्देश कहिल्यै हुँदैन। तिनीसित मेरा निम्ति सदैव नराम्रो संन्देश हुन्छ। त्यो मान्छेको नाउँ मीकाया हो। तिनी यिम्लाका छोरा हुन्।” तर यहोशापातले भने, “आहाब, तपाईंले त्यसो भन्नु हुँदैन।”

8 And the king of Israel calleth unto a certain officer, and saith, `Hasten Micaiah son of Imlah.'तब राजा आहाबले आफ्ना एक अधिकारीलाई बोलाए र भने, “चाँडो गर, यिम्लाका छोरा मीकायालाई यहाँ ल्याऊ।”

9 And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah are sitting, each on his throne, clothed with garments, and they are sitting in a threshing-floor at the opening of the gate of Samaria, and all the prophets are prophesying before them.आहाब इस्राएलका राजा अनि यहोशापात यहूदाका राजाले आफ्ना राज-पोशाक लगाएका थिए। तिनीहरू सामरिया शहरको सामुन्नेको द्वारको नजिक ढिकीमा आफ्ना सिंहासनमा बसेका थिए। ती 400 जना अगमवक्ताहरू दुइ राजाहरूका सामुन्ने आफ्ना संन्देश भनीरहेका थिए।

10 And Zedekiah son of Chenaanah maketh for himself horns of iron, and saith, `Thus said Jehovah,सिदकियाह केनान नाउँका व्यक्तिका छोरा थिए। सिदकियाहले फलामका केही सींङ्गहरू बनाएका थिए। सिदकियाहले भने, “यही हो जो परमप्रभुले भन्नु हुन्छः ‘तपाईंहरूले यी फलामका सींङ्गहरू अरामी मानिसहरूलाई तिनीहरू ध्वंश नहुञ्जेल घोच्नलाई प्रयोग गर्नु हुनेछ।”‘

11 With these thou dost push Aram till thou hast consumed them.' And all the prophets are prophesying so, saying, `Go up `to' Ramath-Gilead and prosper, and Jehovah hath given `it' into the hand of the king.'सबै अगमवक्ताहरूले एकै कुरा भने। तिनीहरूले भने, “रामोत गिलाद शहरमा जानु होस्। तपाईंहरूले सफलता पाउनु हुनेछ अनि जित्नु हुनेछ। परमप्रभुले राजालाई अरामी मानिसहरूलाई परास्त पार्न दिनु हुनेछ।”

12 And the messenger who hath gone to call for Micaiah hath spoken unto him, saying, `Lo, the words of the prophets -- one mouth -- `are' good towards the king, and let, I pray thee, thy word be like one of theirs: and thou hast spoken good.'मीकायालाई लिन गएका संन्देश वाहकले तिनलाई भने, “मीकाया, सुन, सबै अगमवक्ताहरूले एकै कुरा भने। तिनीहरू राजाले सफलता प्राप्त गर्नु हुनेछ भनी भन्दै छन्। यसर्थ तिनीहरूले जे भन्दै छन् त्यही कुरा भन। तिमीले पनि राम्रो कुरा भन।”

13 And Micaiah saith `Jehovah liveth, surely that which my God saith, it I speak.'तर मीकायाले भने, “परमप्रभु जीवित हुनुहुन्छ भन्ने कुरा सत्य भएझै म त्यही मात्र भन्न सक्छु जो मेरा परमेश्वरले भन्नु हुन्छ।”

14 And he cometh in unto the king, and the king saith unto him, `Micaiah, do we go unto Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or do I forbear?' And he saith, `Go ye up, and prosper, and they are given into your hand.'तब मीकाया राजा आहाब कहाँ आए। राजाले तिनलाई भने, “मीकाया युद्ध गर्नका निम्ति हामी रामोत-गिलाद शहर जानु कि नजानु?” मीकायाले उत्तर दिए, “जानु होस् अनि आक्रमण गर्नु होस्। परमेश्वरले तपाईंलाई ती मानिसहरूमाथि परास्त गर्न दिनु हुनेछ।”

15 And the king saith unto him, `How many times am I adjuring thee, that thou speak unto me only truth in the name of Jehovah?'राजा आहाबले मीकायालाई भने, “धेरै पल्ट मैले तिमीलाई परमप्रभुको नाउँमा मलाई सत्य मात्र भन भनी प्रतिज्ञा गराएको थिएँ।”

16 And he saith, `I have seen all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd, and Jehovah saith, There are no masters to these, they turn back each to his house in peace.'तब मीकायाले भने, “मैले इस्राएलका सबै मानिसहरूलाई पर्वतहरूमा छरिएका देखें। तिनीहरू गोठाला बिनाका भेडाहरू जस्तै थिए। परमप्रभुले भन्नुभयो, ‘तिनीहरूका कुनै अगुवा छैन। प्रत्येक व्यक्तिलाई सकुशल घर फर्किन देऊ।”‘

17 And the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat, `Did I not say unto thee, He doth not prophesy concerning me good, but rather of evil?'आहाब, इस्राएलका राजाले यहोशापातलाई भने, “मैले तपाईंलाई भनेको थिएँ कि मीकायासित परमप्रभुबाट मेरो बारेमा राम्रो संन्देश हुँदैन। तिनीसित मेरो बारेमा नराम्रो संन्देश मात्र हुन्छ।”

18 And he saith, `Therefore, hear ye a word of Jehovah: I have seen Jehovah sitting on His throne, and all the host of the heavens standing on His right and His left;मीकायाले भने, “परमप्रभुको संन्देश सुन्नुहोस्ः मैले परमप्रभुलाई उहाँको सिंहासनमा बस्नु भएको देखें। स्वर्गका सम्पूर्ण सेनाहरू उहाँका वरिपरि उभिएका थिए, कोही उहाँका देब्रेतिर कोही उहाँको दाहिनेतिर।

19 and Jehovah saith, Who doth entice Ahab king of Israel, and he doth go up and fall in Ramoth-Gilead? And this speaker saith thus, and that speaker thus.परमप्रभुले भन्नुभयो, ‘इस्राएलका राजा आहाबलाई रामोत गिलाद शहर माथि आक्रमण गर्न कसले फसाउँला जसमा कि तिनलाई त्यहाँ मारियोस्?’ परमप्रभुको वरिपरि उभिने विभिन्न आत्माहरूले भिन्न भिन्न कुराहरू भने।

20 And go out doth the spirit, and stand before Jehovah, and saith, I do entice him; and Jehovah saith unto him, With what?तब एउटा आत्मा आए अनि परमप्रभुको सामुन्ने अभिए। त्यो आत्माले भने, ‘आहाबलाई म छल गर्ने छु।’ परमप्रभुले त्यो आत्मालाई सोध्नु भयो” कसरी?”

21 and he saith, I go out, and have become a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of all his prophets. And He saith, Thou dost entice, and also, thou art able; go out and do so.त्यो आत्माले उत्तर दिए, ‘म बाहिर जान्छु अनि आहाबका अगमवक्ताहरूका मुखमा झूँठो बोल्ने आत्मा हुनेछु।’ अनि परमप्रभुले भन्नुभयो, ‘तँ आहाबलाई छल गर्नमा सफल हुनेछस्। यसर्थ बाहिर जा अनि यसै गर।’

22 And, now, lo, Jehovah hath put a spirit of falsehood in the mouth of these thy prophets, and Jehovah hath spoken concerning thee -- evil.'“अब हेर आहाब, परमप्रभुले तपाईंका अगमवक्ताहरूको मुखमा झूँठो बोल्ने आत्मा हालिदिनु भएको छ। परमप्रभुले तपाईंलाई नराम्रो हुनेछ भनी भन्नु भएको छ।”

23 And Zedekiah son of Chenaanah cometh nigh, and smiteth Micaiah on the cheek, and saith, `Where `is' this -- the way the Spirit of Jehovah passed over from me to speak with thee?'त्यसपछि सिदकियाह मीकाया भएकहाँ गए अनि अनुहारमा हिर्काइदिए। सिदकियाहका पिताको नाउँ कनान थियो। सिदकियाहले भने, “मीकाया, परमप्रभुका आत्मा कुन बाटो गयो जब त्यो तँसित कुरागर्न म देखि गयो?”

24 And Micaiah saith, `Lo, thou dost see in that day, that thou dost enter into the innermost chamber to be hidden.'मीकायाले उत्तर दिए, “सिदकियाह तिमी भित्रको एक कोठामा लुक्न गएको दिन तिमीले थाहा पाउनेछौ।”

25 And the king of Israel saith, `Take ye Micaiah, and turn him back unto Amon head of the city, and unto Joash son of the king,तब राजा आहाबले भने, “मीकायालाई लैजाऊ अनि त्यसलाई शहरका प्रशासक आमोन अनि राजाका छोरा योआशकहाँ पठाई देऊ।

26 and ye have said, Thus said the king, Put ye this `one' in the house of restraint, and cause him to eat bread of oppression, and water of oppression, till my return in peace.'आमोन अनि योआशलाई भन, ‘राजा यो भन्नुहुन्छः मीकायालाई कैदखानामा हालिदेऊ। उसलाई केही नदेऊ खाली एउटा कैदीहरूलाई दिने रोटी र पानी बाहेक जबसम्म म युद्धबाट सुरक्षा सित फर्केर आउँदिन।”‘

27 And Micaiah saith, `If thou dost certainly return in peace, Jehovah hath not spoken by me;' and he saith, `Hear ye, O peoples, all of them!'मीकायाले उत्तर दिए, “आहाब, यदि तपाईं युद्धबाट सुरक्षा सित फर्किएर आउनु भयो भने तब परमप्रभु म द्वारा बोल्नु भएको होइन।” उनले भने सबै तिमी मानिसहरु पनि मेरो कुरा सुन।

28 And the king of Israel goeth up, and Jehoshaphat king of Judah, unto Ramoth-Gilead;यसर्थ इस्राएलका राजा आहाब अनि यहूदाका राजा यहोशापातले रामोत-गिलाद शहर माथि आक्रमण गरे।

29 and the king of Israel saith unto Jehoshaphat to disguise himself, and to go into battle, `And thou, put on thy garments.' And the king of Israel disguiseth himself, and they go into battle.राजा आहाबले यहोशापातलाई भने, “म लडाइँमा जानुको अघि आफ्नो रूप परिवर्त्तन गर्छु। तर तपाईं तपाईंको आफ्नै राज बस्त्र लगाउनु होस्।” यसर्थ आहाब इस्राएलका राजाले आफ्नो रूप परिवर्त्तन गरे अनि दुइ राजाहरू युद्धमा गए।

30 And the king of Aram hath commanded the heads of the charioteers whom he hath, saying, `Ye do not fight with small or with great, except with the king of Israel by himself.'अरामका राजाले आफ्ना रथका सेनापतिहरूलाई आदेशदिए। तिनले तिनीहरूलाई भने, “कुनै व्यक्ति सित नलड चाहे जतिकै महान वा तुच्छ होस्। तर आहाब, इस्राएलका राजासित मात्र युद्ध गर।”

31 And it cometh to pass at the heads of the charioteers seeing Jehoshaphat, that they have said, `The king of Israel he is,' and they turn round against him to fight, and Jehoshaphat crieth out, and Jehovah hath helped him, and God enticeth them from him,जब रथका सेनापतिहरूले यहोशापातलाई देखे तिनीहरूले ठाने, “त्यहाँ इस्राएलका राजा आहाब छन्।” तिनलाई आक्रमण गर्न तिनीहरू यहोशापात तिर फर्के। तर यहोशापात कराए अनि परमप्रभुले तिनलाई सहायता गर्नु भयो। परमेश्वरले रथका सेनापतिहरूलाई यहोशापात देखि टाढा हुन दिनु भयो।

32 yea, it cometh to pass, at the heads of the charioteers seeing that it hath not been the king of Israel -- they turn back from after him.जब तिनीहरूले देखे कि यहोशापात इस्राएलका राजा होइनन् तब तिनीहरूले तिनलाई खेद्न छाडे।

33 And a man hath drawn with a bow, in his simplicity, and smiteth the king of Israel between the joinings and the coat of mail, and he saith to the charioteer, `Turn thy hand, and thou hast brought me out of the camp, for I have become sick.'तर एक सैनिकले केही कुरामा लक्ष्य नगरी आफ्ना धनुबाट एक काँढ हाने। त्यो काँढले आहाब, इस्राएलका राजालाई लाग्यो। त्यसले आहाबको कवचको खुल्ला भागमा लाग्यो। आहाबले आफ्ना रथका साराथिलाई भने, “घुम, अनि मलाई युद्धबाट बाहिर लैजाऊ। मलाई चोट लाग्यो।”

34 And the battle increaseth on that day, and the king of Israel hath been stayed up in the chariot over-against Aram till the evening, and he dieth at the time of the going in of the sun.त्यस दिन अत्यन्त भिषण युद्ध भयो। आहाब आफै उसको रथमा उभिए अनि साँझसम्म अरामीहरूको सामना गरिरहे। तब सूर्यास्त हुँदा, आहाबको मृत्यु भयो।
