1 Timothy 1
1 ख्रीष्ट येशूको प्रेरित पावलबाट प्रणाम। हाम्रा मुक्तिदाता परमेश्वर र हाम्रा आशा ख्रीष्ट येशूको आज्ञाले म प्रेरित हुँ।
2 तिमोथीलाई, जो विश्वासमा मेरा सच्चा पुत्र हुन, हाम्रा पिता परमेश्वर र हाम्रा प्रभु ख्रीष्ट येशूबाट अनुग्रह करूणा र शान्ति।
3 जब म म्यासिटोनिया तर्फ गएँ त्यस बेला मैले तिमीलाई एफिससमै बस्नु भनेर भनेको थिएँ। त्यहाँ एफिससमा कसै-कसैले झूटा शिक्षाहरू दिइरहेछन्। त्यहाँ बसेर तिमीले ती मानिसहरूलाई ती कुराहरू नसिकाउनु भनि निर्देशन दिन सक्छौ।
4 तिनीहरूलाई पौराणिक कथा र नटुङ्गिने पारिवारिक वंशावली भन्नमा ध्यान नेदऊ भनी निर्देश दिन सक्छौ। यस्ता कुराहरूबाट खालि विवाद उत्पन्न हुन्छ, अनि परमेश्वरको काममा सहायता हुँदैन। परमेश्वरको काम विश्वासद्वारा गर्न सकिन्छ।
5 यस आज्ञाको उद्देश्य मानिसहरूमा प्रेम ल्याउनु हो। यो प्रेम उत्पन्न गर्नलाई मानिसहरूको हृदय शुद्ध हुनुपर्छ, तिनीहरूले जानेको जे उचित छ त्यसैको आधारमा तिनीहरूले काम गर्नु पर्छ अनि तिमीहरूमा सत्य विश्वास हुनुपर्छ।
6 कति मानिसहरूले यस्ता कुराहरूबाट मुख फर्काए अनि व्यर्थका कुरातिर लागे।
7 त्यस्ता मानिसहरू शास्त्री बन्न खोज्छन्। तर उनीहरू के बोलिरहेका छन् त्यो उनीहरूलाई नै थाहा हुँदैन। अनि उनीहरूले ती कुराहरू बुझ्दैनन् जसलाई उनीहरू सत्य भन्छन्।
8 हामी जान्दछौ कि हामीले ठीकसित उपयोग गरे व्यवस्था राम्रो हुन्छ।
9 हामी यो पनि जान्दछौं, व्यवस्था भला मानिसहरूकोलागि बनिएको होइन। व्यवस्था त उनीहरूको निम्ति बनिएको हो जो विधान विरोधी र अनाज्ञाकारी छन्, जो भक्तिहीन र पापमय छन्, जो अपवित्र र अधर्मी छन् जो मातृ पितृ घातक र हत्यारा छन्।
10 जो यौन-पापीहरू र समलिङ्गीहरू छन्, जो दास व्यापारीहरू र मिथ्यावादीहरू छन्, जो झूटा गवाहीहरू दिने र सत्य शिक्षा विरोधी छन्, मानिसहरू जो कसम खाएर झूटो कुरा बोल्छन् अनि जसले साँचो शिक्षाको विरूद्ध काम गर्छन्, व्यवस्था तिनीहरूको निम्ति होइन।
11 यो सत्य शिक्षा सुसमाचारकै एउटा भाग हो जो परमेश्वरले मलाई प्रचार गर्न सुम्पनुभयो। यो महिमामय सुसमाचार परमधन्य परमेश्वरबाट आएको हो।
12 हाम्रा प्रभु ख्रीष्ट येशूलाई म धन्यवाद दिंदछु किनभने उहाँले मलाई विश्वास गर्नु भयो र उहाँको सेवा गर्ने यो काम मलाई दिनुभयो। उहाँले यो गर्न मलाई शक्ति दिनुभयो।
13 अघि-अघि म ख्रीष्टको विरुद्ध बोल्थें, उहाँलाई सताउँथें र उहाँलाई चोट लाग्ने काम-कुरो गर्थे। तर परमेश्वरले ममाथि कृपा गर्नुभयो किनकि म के गर्दै थिएँ त्यसबारे म अज्ञानी थिएँ। मैले सबै यस्ता कुराहरू त्यस बेला गरें जब मेरो ख्रीष्ट प्रति विश्वास थिएन।
14 तर मैले पूर्णरूपले उहाँको अनुग्रह पाएँ। अनि त्यही अनुग्रहसित ख्रीष्ट येशूमा प्रेम अनि विश्वास पाएँ।
15 म जे भन्दैछु त्यो सत्य हो अनि तिमीले यसलाई पूर्णरूपले स्वीकार गर्नुपर्छः ख्रीष्ट येशू पापीहरूलाई बचाउनु यस संसारमा आउनुभयो। म पापीहरूमा पनि महापापी हुँ।
16 तर म प्रति कृपा यसकारणले देखाइयो कि ख्रीष्ट येशूले उहाँका अनन्त धैर्य ममा देखाउन सक्नुभयो। ख्रीष्टले म प्रति ठूलो धैर्य देखाउनु भयो जो पापीहरू मध्ये निकृष्ट थिएँ। ख्रीष्टले मलाई तिनीहरूका निम्ति एउटा उदाहरणको रूपमा लिनुभयो। जसले भविष्य प्रति विश्वास गर्छ अनि अनन्त जीवन चाहन्छ। तिनीहरूको निम्ति ख्रीष्ट मलाई एक उदाहरूण बनाउन चाहनु हुन्थ्यो।
17 जसले सदा-सर्वदा शासन गर्छन्, सम्मान अनि महिमा उनै राजा प्रति होस्। उहाँको अस्तित्व मेटाउन सकिंदैन अनि देख्न सकिंदैन। एकमात्र परमेश्वर प्रति सदा सर्वदा सम्मान अनि महिमा रहोस्। आमिन।
18 तिमोथी, तिमी मेरा पुत्र जस्तो हौ। म तिमीलाई यो आज्ञा दिंदैछु। यो आज्ञा त्यो अगमवाणीसित सम्मत हुनेछ जो तिम्रो बारेमा पहिल्यै भनिएको थियो। म तिमीलाई यो भन्दछु कि तिमी त्यो अगमवाणी अनुसार कार्य गर अनि विश्वासको असल लडाइँ लड।
19 विश्वास राखिराख र जे उचित छ भनि तिमी जान्दछौ त्यो गर। कति व्यक्तिले यसलाई अनुसरण गरेनन् अनि तिनीहरूको विश्वास नष्ट भयो।
20 हाइमिनियस र अलेकज्याण्डरले त्यसै गरेका थिए। तिनीहरूले परमेश्वरको विरूद्धमा बोल्नु नहुनेरहेछ भन्ने पाठ सिकुन् भनेर मैले ती दुईलाई शैतानको हातमा सुम्पिदिएँ।
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
Romans 7 in Tamil and English
1 సహోదరులారా, మనుష్యుడు బ్రదికినంతకాలమే ధర్మశాస్త్రమతనిమీద ప్రభుత్వము చేయుచున్నదని మీకు తెలియదా? ధర్మశాస్త్రము ఎరిగిన మీతో మాటలాడు చున్నాను.
Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
2 భర్తగల స్త్రీ, భర్త బ్రదికియున్నంతవరకే ధర్మశాస్త్రమువలన అతనికి బద్ధురాలు గాని, భర్త చనిపోయిన యెడల భర్త విషయమైన ధర్మశాస్త్రమునుండి ఆమె విడుదల పొందును.
For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
3 కాబట్టి భర్త బ్రదికియుండగా ఆమె వేరొక పురుషుని చేరినయెడల వ్యభిచారిణియన బడును గాని, భర్తచనిపోయినయెడల ఆమె ధర్మశాస్త్రము నుండి విడుదల పొందెను గనుక వేరొక పురుషుని వివా హము చేసికొనినను వ్యభిచారిణి కాకపోవును.
So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
4 కావున నా సహోదరులారా, మనము దేవునికొరకు ఫలమును ఫలించునట్లు మృతులలోనుండి లేపబడిన క్రీస్తు అనువేరొకని చేరుటకై మీరును ఆయన శరీరముద్వారా ధర్మ శాస్త్రము విషయమై మృతులైతిరి.
Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
5 ఏలయనగా మనము శరీరసంబంధులమై యుండినప్పుడు మరణార్థమైన ఫలమును ఫలించుటకై, ధర్మశాస్త్రమువలననైన పాపేచ్ఛలు మన అవయవములలో కార్యసాధకములై యుండెను.
For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
6 ఇప్పుడైతే దేనిచేత నిర్బంధింపబడితిమో దానివిషయమై చనిపోయినవారమై, ధర్మశాస్త్రమునుండి విడుదల పొంది తివిు గనుక మనము అక్షరానుసారమైన ప్రాచీనస్థితి గలవారము కాక ఆత్మానుసారమైన నవీనస్థితి గలవారమై సేవచేయుచున్నాము.
But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
7 కాబట్టి యేమందుము? ధర్మశాస్త్రము పాపమాయెనా? అట్లనరాదు. ధర్మశాస్త్రమువలననే గాని పాపమనగాఎట్టిదో నాకు తెలియకపోవును. ఆశింపవద్దని ధర్మ శాస్త్రము చెప్పనియెడల దురాశయన ఎట్టిదో నాకు తెలియకపోవును.
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
8 అయితే పాపము ఆజ్ఞనుహేతువు చేసికొని సకలవిధమైన దురాశలను నాయందు పుట్టించెను. ధర్మశాస్త్రము లేనప్పుడు పాపము మృతము.
But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
9 ఒకప్పుడు నేను ధర్మశాస్త్రము లేకుండ జీవించుచుంటిని గాని, ఆజ్ఞ వచ్చినప్పుడు పాపమునకు మరల జీవము వచ్చెను; నేనైతే చనిపోతిని.
For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
10 అప్పుడు జీవార్థమైన ఆజ్ఞ నాకు మరణార్థమైనట్టు కనబడెను.
And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
11 ఏలయనగా పాపము ఆజ్ఞను హేతువుచేసికొని నన్ను మోసపుచ్చి దానిచేత నన్ను చంపెను.
For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
12 కాబట్టి ధర్మశాస్త్రము పరిశుద్ధ మైనది, ఆజ్ఞకూడ పరిశుద్ధమైనదియు నీతిగలదియు ఉత్తమ మైనదియునై యున్నది.
Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
13 ఉత్తమమైనది నాకు మరణకర మాయెనా? అట్లనరాదు. అయితే పాపము ఉత్తమమైన దాని మూలముగా నాకు మరణము కలుగజేయుచు, పాపము పాపమైనట్టు అగుపడు నిమిత్తము, అనగా పాపము ఆజ్ఞమూలముగా అత్యధిక పాపమగు నిమిత్తము, అది నాకు మరణకరమాయెను.
Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
14 ధర్మశాస్త్రము ఆత్మ సంబంధమైనదని యెరుగుదుము; అయితే నేను పాపమునకు అమ్మబడి శరీరసంబంధినై యున్నాను.
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
15 ఏలయనగా నేను చేయునది నేనెరుగను; నేను చేయ నిచ్ఛయించునది చేయక ద్వేషించునదియే చేయుచున్నాను.
For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 ఇచ్ఛ యింపనిది నేను చేసినయెడల ధర్మశాస్త్రము శ్రేష్ఠమైనదైనట్టు ఒప్పుకొనుచున్నాను.
If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 కావున ఇకను దాని చేయునది నాయందు నివసించు పాపమే గాని నేను కాదు.
Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 నాయందు, అనగా నా శరీరమందు మంచిది ఏదియు నివసింపదని నేనెరుగుదును. మేలైనది చేయవలెనను కోరిక నాకు కలుగుచున్నది గాని, దానిని చేయుట నాకు కలుగుటలేదు.
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 నేను చేయగోరు మేలుచేయక చేయగోరని కీడు చేయుచున్నాను.
For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 నేను కోరని దానిని చేసినయెడల, దానిని చేయునది నాయందు నివసించు పాపమే గాని యికను నేను కాదు.
Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 కాబట్టి మేలు చేయగోరు నాకు కీడు చేయుట కలుగుచున్నదను ఒక నియమము నాకు కనబడుచున్నది.
I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 అంతరంగపురుషుని బట్టి దేవుని ధర్మశాస్త్రమునందు నేను ఆనందించుచున్నాను గాని
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 వేరొక నియమము నా అవయవములలో ఉన్నట్టు నాకు కనబడుచున్నది. అది నా మనస్సు నందున్న ధర్మశాస్త్రముతో పోరాడుచు నా అవయవములలోనున్న పాపనియమమునకు నన్ను చెరపట్టి లోబరచుకొనుచున్నది.
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 అయ్యో, నేనెంత దౌర్భాగ్యు డను? ఇట్టి మరణమునకు లోనగు శరీరమునుండి నన్నెవడు విడిపించును?
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 మన ప్రభువైన యేసు క్రీస్తుద్వారా దేవునికి కృతజ్ఞతాస్తుతులు చెల్లించుచున్నాను. కాగా మనస్సు విషయములో నేను దైవనియమమునకును, శరీర విషయములో పాపనియమమునకును దాసుడనై యున్నాను.
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
