दाऊदले भने, “के तिमी मलाई तिनीहरूकहाँ पुर्याइदिन सक्छौ जसले हाम्रा परिवारका सदस्यहरूलाई समातेका छन्?”त्यस मिश्रीले भने, “परमेश्वरको अघि यदि तपाईंले मलाई मार्दिन अथवा मेरो मालिकको घरमा मलाई फिर्ता दिने वचन दिनुभयो भने म तपाईंलाई सहयोग गर्छु।”

Swear	הִשָּֽׁבְעָה֩	hiššābĕʿāh	hee-sha-veh-AH
God, by me unto	לִּ֨י	lî	lee
neither wilt thou that	בֵֽאלֹהִ֜ים	bēʾlōhîm	vay-loh-HEEM
kill	אִם	ʾim	eem
me, nor	תְּמִיתֵ֗נִי	tĕmîtēnî	teh-mee-TAY-nee
deliver	וְאִם	wĕʾim	veh-EEM
me into the hands	תַּסְגִּרֵ֙נִי֙	tasgirēniy	tahs-ɡee-RAY-NEE
master, my of	בְּיַד	bĕyad	beh-YAHD
