इस्राएल र यहूदाका सैनिकहरूले जयघोषणा गर्दै दगुर्दै पलिश्तीहरूलाई खेद्न थाले। इस्राएलीहरूले पलिश्तीहरूलाई खेद्दै-खेद्दै गातको सिमाना र एक्रोनको ढोकासम्म पुर्याए र धेरै संख्यामा पलिश्तीहरू मारे। पलिश्तीहरूको लाश गात र एक्रोनको शारेमसम्म सडकभरी छरपष्ट थियो।
