आज्ञा पालन नगर्नु चाहि तन्त्रमन्त्रको पाप जस्तै हो। हठी स्वभावको हुनु र आफ्नै इच्छानुसार हिँड्नुचाहि मूर्ति पूजा गरे झैं पाप हो। तपाईंले परमप्रभुको आज्ञा मान्न इन्कार गर्नुभयो। यही कारणले, अब परमप्रभुले पनि तपाईंलाई राजाको रूपमा इन्कार गर्नुभयो।”

spake	יְהוָ֖ה	yĕhwâ	yeh-VA
unto	אֵלַ֥י	ʾēlay	ay-LAI
me, saying,	לֵאמֹֽר׃	lēʾmōr	lay-MORE

For	כִּ֤י	kî	kee
rebellion	חַטַּאת	ḥaṭṭat	ha-TAHT
is as the sin	קֶ֙סֶם֙	qesem	KEH-SEM
of witchcraft,	מֶ֔רִי	merî	MEH-ree
stubbornness and	וְאָ֥וֶן	wĕʾāwen	veh-AH-ven
is as iniquity	וּתְרָפִ֖ים	ûtĕrāpîm	oo-teh-ra-FEEM
and idolatry.	הַפְצַ֑ר	hapṣar	hahf-TSAHR
Because	יַ֗עַן	yaʿan	YA-an
rejected hast thou	מָאַ֙סְתָּ֙	māʾastā	ma-AS-TA

the word	דְּבַ֣ר	dĕbar	deh-VAHR
of the Lord,	יְהוָ֔ה	yĕhwâ	yeh-VA
