Then Samuel	וַיְדַבֵּ֨ר	waydabbēr	vai-da-BARE
told	שְׁמוּאֵ֜ל	šĕmûʾēl	sheh-moo-ALE
	אֶל	ʾel	el
people the	הָעָ֗ם	hāʿām	ha-AM
	אֵ֚ת	ʾēt	ate
the manner	מִשְׁפַּ֣ט	mišpaṭ	meesh-PAHT
kingdom, the of	הַמְּלֻכָ֔ה	hammĕlukâ	ha-meh-loo-HA
and wrote	וַיִּכְתֹּ֣ב	wayyiktōb	va-yeek-TOVE
it in a book,	בַּסֵּ֔פֶר	bassēper	ba-SAY-fer
up it laid and	וַיַּנַּ֖ח	wayyannaḥ	va-ya-NAHK
