शमूएलले बिन्यामिनी कुलसमूहका प्रत्येकलाई एक-एकजना गरेर अगाडि जानु भने। त्यसपछि मन्त्रीको परिवारालाई चुनियो। त्यसपछि त्यही मन्त्री परिवारको प्रत्येकलाई एक एकजना गरेर अगाडि जानु भने। यसरी कीशका छोरा शाऊललाई चुनियो।जब मानिसहरूले शाऊललाई खोजे, त्यहाँ शाऊललाई भेट्टाएनन्।
