शमूएलले इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई भने, “परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्वर भन्नुहुन्छ, ‘मैले इस्राएललाई मिश्रबाट बाहिर ल्याएँ। मैले तिमीहरूलाई मिश्रको अधीनबाट बचाएँ र अन्य राष्ट्रहरूबाट पनि बचाएँ जसले तिमीहरूलाई चोट पुर्याउन चाहन्थे।’
