1 Kings 18:23
यसकारण दुइवटा साँढे ल्याऊ। बालका अगमवक्ताहरूले एउटा साँढे लिऊन्। तिनीहरूले त्यसलाई मारून् र काटेर टुक्रा-टुक्रा पारून्। त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले मासु दाउरमाथि राखून्। तर तिनीहरू आगो बाल्न पाउने छैनन्। त्यसपछि अर्को साँढेलाई म त्यसै गर्छु। म पनि आगो बाल्न शुरू गर्दिन।

| bullocks; | שְׁנַ֣יִם | šĕnayim | sheh-NA-yeem |
| and let them choose | פָּרִ֗ים | pārîm | pa-REEM |
| one | וְיִבְחֲר֣וּ | wĕyibḥărû | veh-yeev-huh-ROO |
| bullock | לָהֶם֩ | lāhem | la-HEM |
| for pieces, in it cut and themselves, | הַפָּ֨ר | happār | ha-PAHR |
| and lay | הָֽאֶחָ֜ד | hāʾeḥād | ha-eh-HAHD |
| it on | וִֽינַתְּחֻ֗הוּ | wînattĕḥuhû | vee-na-teh-HOO-hoo |
| wood, | וְיָשִׂ֙ימוּ֙ | wĕyāśîmû | veh-ya-SEE-MOO |
| and put | עַל | ʿal | al |
| no | הָ֣עֵצִ֔ים | hāʿēṣîm | HA-ay-TSEEM |
| fire | וְאֵ֖שׁ | wĕʾēš | veh-AYSH |
| I and under: | לֹ֣א | lōʾ | loh |
| will dress | יָשִׂ֑ימוּ | yāśîmû | ya-SEE-moo |
| וַֽאֲנִ֞י | waʾănî | va-uh-NEE | |
| other the | אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֣ה׀ | ʾeʿĕśe | eh-ay-SEH |
| bullock, | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| and lay | הַפָּ֣ר | happār | ha-PAHR |
| it on | הָֽאֶחָ֗ד | hāʾeḥād | ha-eh-HAHD |
| wood, | וְנָֽתַתִּי֙ | wĕnātattiy | veh-na-ta-TEE |
| and put | עַל | ʿal | al |
| no | הָ֣עֵצִ֔ים | hāʿēṣîm | HA-ay-TSEEM |
| fire | וְאֵ֖שׁ | wĕʾēš | veh-AYSH |
