1 And gathered are all Israel unto David to Hebron, saying, `Lo, thy bone and thy flesh `are' we;इस्राएलका सबै मानिसहरू हेब्रोन शहरमा दाऊदकहाँ आए। तिनीहरूले दाऊदलाई भने, “हामी तपाईकै मासु र रगत हौं।

2 even in time past, even in Saul's being king, it is thou who art taking out and bringing in Israel, and Jehovah thy God saith to thee: Thou dost feed My people Israel, and thou art leader over My people Israel.'अतीतमा तपाईले हामीलाई युद्धमा अगुवाइ गर्नु भयो। तपाईले शाऊल राजा हुँदा पनि हाम्रो अगुवाई गर्नु भयो। परमप्रभुले तपाईलाई भन्नु भयो, ‘दाऊद तँ इस्राएलका मेरा मानिसहरूलको गोठालो हुनेछस्। तँ मेरा मानिसहरूको प्रधान हुनेछस्।”

3 And all the elders of Israel come in unto the king to Hebron, and David maketh with them a covenant in Hebron before Jehovah, and they anoint David for king over Israel, according to the word of Jehovah by the hand of Samuel.इस्राएलका सबै बूढा-प्रधानहरू हेब्रोन शहरमा दाऊद कहाँ आए। दाऊदले हेब्रोनमा परमप्रभु समक्ष ती बूढा-प्रधानहरूसित एक करार गरे अनि ती बूढा-प्रधानहरूले दाऊदलाई अभिषेक गरे। तिनीहरूले तिनलाई इस्राएलका राजा बनाए। परमप्रभुले यसो हुन्छ भनी वचन दिनु भएको थियो। परमप्रभुले त्यो वचन दिनुका निम्ति शमूएलाई प्रयोग गर्नु भएको थियो।

4 And David goeth, and all Israel, to Jerusalem -- it `is' Jebus -- and there the Jebusite, the inhabitants of the land.दाऊद अनि इस्राएलका सबै मानिसहरू यरूशलेम शहर गए। यरूशलेमलाई त्यस समयमा यबूस भनिन्थ्यो। त्यो शहरमा बस्ने मानिसहरूलाई यबूसी भनिन्थ्यो। त्यो शहरमा

5 And the inhabitants of Jebus say to David, `Thou dost not come in hither;' and David captureth the fortress of Zion -- it `is' the city of David.जो मानिसहरू बस्थे तिनीहरूले दाऊदलाई भने, “तपाई हाम्रो शहर भित्र आउन सक्नु हुन्न।” तर दाऊदले ती मानिसहरूलाई परास्त गरिदिए। दाऊदले सियोनको किल्ला लिए। यो स्थान दाऊदको शहर बन्यो।

6 And David saith, `Whoever smiteth the Jebusite first doth become head and prince;' and go up first doth Joab son of Zeruiah and becometh head.दाऊदले भने, “त्यो व्यक्ति जसले यबूसी मानिसहरू माथि आक्रमण गर्छ, मेरा सम्पूर्ण सेनाको सेनापति हुनेछ।” यसर्थ योआबले आक्रमणको अगुवाई गरे। योआब सरूयाहका छोरा थिए। योआब सेनाका सेनापति बने।

7 And David dwelleth in the fortress, therefore they have called it, `City of David;'तब दाऊदले किल्लामा आफ्ना घर बनाए। त्यसै कारणले यसलाई दाऊदको शहर नाउँ दिइएको हो।

8 and he buildeth the city round about, from Millo, and unto the circumference, and Joab restoreth the rest of the city.दाऊदले किल्ला वरिपरि शहर बसाए। तिनले यो मिल्लो देखि शहर वरिपरिको सबै ठाउँमा पर्खाल बनाए। योआबले शहरका अन्य भागको मर्मत गरे।

9 And David goeth, going on and becoming great, and Jehovah of Hosts `is' with him.दाऊद लगातार सफल हुँदैगए। सर्वशक्तिमान परमप्रभु तिनीसित हुनुहुन्थ्यो।

10 And these `are' heads of the mighty ones whom David hath, who are strengthening themselves with him in his kingdom, with all Israel, to cause him to reign, according to the word of Jehovah, over Israel.यो सूची दाऊदका विशेष सेनापतिहरूको हो। यी बीरहरू दाऊदसित तिनका राज्यमा अति शक्तिशाली बने। तिनीहरू र इस्राएलका सबै मानिसहरूले दाऊदलाई सहयोग गरे अनि तिनलाई राजा बनाए। यो परमेश्वरले वचन दिनु भए जस्तै भयो।

11 And this `is' an account of the mighty ones whom David hath: Jashobeam son of a Hachmonite `is' head of the thirty; he is lifting up his spear against three hundred -- wounded, at one time.यो सूची दाऊदका विशेष सैनिकहरूको होःयाशोबाम हक्मोनी थिए। याशोबाम अधिकारीहरूका अगुवा थिए। याशोबामले एकै पल्टमा तीन सय मानिसहरूलाई आफ्नो भाला प्रयोग गरेर मारे।

12 And after him `is' Eleazar son of Dodo the Ahohite, he `is' among the three mighty;अर्को अहोही दोदोका छोरा एलाजार थिए। एलाजार ती तीन वीरहरू मध्ये एक थिए।

13 he hath been with David in Pas-Dammim, and the Philistines have been gathered there to battle, and a portion of the field is full of barley, and the people have fled from the face of the Philistines,एलाजार पास-दम्मीममा दाऊदसँग थिए। पलिश्तीहरू युद्ध लडन तयारीको निम्ति त्यस स्थानमा आएका थिए। त्यस स्थान एक जौंले भरिएको खेत थियो। इस्राएलीहरू पलिश्तीहरू देखि भागे।

14 and they station themselves in the midst of the portion, and deliver it, and smite the Philistines, and Jehovah saveth -- a great salvation.तर ती तीन बीरहरू त्यही खेतमा बसीरहे अनि त्यसलाई रक्षा गरे। तिनीहरूले पलिश्तीहरूलाई परास्त गरे। परमप्रभुले इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई महान विजय दिनुभयो।

15 And three of the thirty heads go down on the rock unto David, unto the cave of Adullam, and the host of the Philistines is encamping in the valley of Rephaim,एकपल्ट, दाऊद अद्‌दुलामको ओडारमा थिए, अनि पलिश्ती सेना तल रपाईमको बेंसीमा थिए। तीसजना वीरहरू मध्ये तीनजना वीरहरू दाऊदलाई ङेट्न ओडारसम्म पुगे।

16 and David `is' then in the fortress, and the station of the Philistines `is' then in Beth-Lehem,अर्कोसमय, दाऊद किल्लामा थिए, अनि पलिश्ती सेनाका एकदल बेतलेहेममा थिए।

17 and David longeth, and saith, `Who doth give me to drink water from the well of Beth-Lehem, that `is' at the gate!'दाऊद तिर्खाएका थिए आफ्ना शहरको पानीका निम्ति यसर्थ तिनले भने, “म चाहन्छु कि कसैले मलाई बेतलेहेम शहरको द्वार नजिकको कूवाबाट केही पानी देओस्।” दाऊदले वास्तवमा त्यो चाहेका थिएनन् तिनी केवल कुरा मात्र गरेका थिए।

18 And the three break through the camp of the Philistines, and draw water from the well of Beth-Lehem, that `is' at the gate, and bear and bring in unto David, and David hath not been willing to drink it, and poureth it out to Jehovah,तर ती तीन जना वीरहरूले पलिश्ती सेनाहरूको बीच भएर युद्धगर्दै बाटो पैल्याए र यी तीन व्यक्तिहरूले बेतलेहेमको शहरद्वार छेउको कूवाबाट केही पानी लिए। तब ती तीन वीरहरूले ल्याएको पानी दाऊदकहाँ ल्याए। दाऊदले पानी पिउन अस्वीकार गरे। तिनले त्यो पानी परमप्रभुलाई भेटीको रूपमा भूइँमा खन्याए।

19 and saith, `Far be it from me, by my God, to do this; the blood of these men do I drink with their lives? for with their lives they have brought it;' and he was not willing to drink it; these `things' did the three mighty ones.दाऊदले भने, “परमेश्वर, म यो पानी पिउँन सक्तिनँ। यो पानी मैले पिएँ भने ती व्यक्तिहरूको रगत पिएको जस्तो हुनेछ जसले मेरो निम्ति यो पानी ल्याउँन आफ्ना जीवन खतरामा पारे।” त्यस कारण दाऊदले पानी पिउन अस्वीकार गरे। ती तीन जना वीरहरूले यस्ता अनेक साहसी कार्यहरू गरे।

20 And Abishai brother of Joab, he hath been head of the three: and he is lifting up his spear against three hundred -- wounded, and hath a name among three.योआबका भाइ अबीशै यी तीन बीरहरूका प्रधान थिए। तिनले आफ्ना भाला द्वारा 300 मानिसहरूसित युद्ध गरे अनि तिनीहरूलाई मारिदिए। अबीशै ती तीन वीरहरू जस्तै प्रसिद्ध थिए।

21 Of the three by the two he is honoured, and becometh their head; and unto the `first' three he hath not come.अबीशै ती तीस जना वीरहरू भन्दा दोबर प्रसिद्ध थिए। तिनी ती तीन वीरहरू मध्ये एक नभएता पनि तिनी तीसजनाका अगुवा थिए।

22 Benaiah son of Jehoiada, son of a man of valour, of great deeds, from Kabzeel: he hath smitten the two lion-like Moabites, and he hath gone down and smitten the lion in the midst of the pit, in the day of snow.यहोयादाका छोरा, बनायाह शक्तिशाली “मानिस” थिए। उनी कबसेलबाटका थिए। बनायाहले मोआब देशका दुईजना महान् वीरहरूलाई मारे। एक दिन हिउँ पर्दै थियो, बनायाह भूइँमा भएको खाडल भित्र पसे। अनि एक सिंहलाई मारे।

23 And he hath smitten the man, the Egyptian -- a man of measure, five by the cubit -- and in the hand of the Egyptian `is' a spear like a beam of weavers, and he goeth down unto him with a rod, and taketh violently away the spear out of the hand of the Egyptian, and slayeth him with his own spear.अनि बनायाहले एक ठूलो मिश्र देशका सैनिकहरूलाई मारे। ती व्यक्ति प्रायः साडे सात फीट अग्ला थिए। त्यस मिश्रदेशकाहरूसंग एउटा भाला थियो त्यो खूबै ठूलो अनि गह्रौं। थियो। त्यो जुलाहाको तानको डण्डा जस्तै ठूलो थियो। बनायाहसित एउटा लहुरो मात्र थियो। बनायाहले त्यो मिश्रीको हातमा भएको भाला अँठ्याए र उसको हातबाट खोसे। तब बनायाहले त्यस मिश्रदेशीलाई उसको आफ्नै भालाद्वारा मारिदिए।

24 These `things' hath Benaiah son of Jehoiada done, and hath a name among the three mighty ones.बनायाह यहोयादाका छोराले अनेक यस्ता साहसी कार्य गरे। बनायाह ती तीन वीरहरू जस्तै प्रसिद्ध थिए।

25 Of the thirty, lo, he `is' honoured, and unto the `first' three he hath not come, and David setteth him over his guard.बनायाह ती तीसजना वीरहरू भन्दा अधिक प्रसिद्ध थिए, तर पनी तीन वीरहरू मध्येका एकजना तिनी थिएनन्। दाऊदले बनायाहलाई आफ्ना अङ्गरक्षकहरूका प्रधान बनाए।

26 And the mighty ones of the forces `are' Asahel brother of Joab, Elhanan son of Dodo of Beth-Lehem,पराक्रमी सैनकहरूका तीस जना बीर योद्धा यी हुनः योआबका भाई असाहेल, बेतलेहेम, दोदोका छोरा एल्हानान;

27 Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite,शम्मोत, हारोद, हेलेस, पेलोनी,

28 Ira son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abi-Ezer the Annethothite,ईरा, तकोईका ईक्केशका छोरा; अनातोतका अबीएजेर,

29 Sibbecai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite,सिब्बकै हुशाती; ईलै, अहोही;

30 Maharai the Netophathite, Heled son of Baanah the Netophathite,नतोपाका महरै; नतोपाकै बानाका छोरा हेलेद,

31 Ithai son of Ribai of Gibeah, of the sons of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,बिन्यामीनको गिबाका रीबैका छोरा; इतै, पिरातोनका, बनायाह,

32 Hurai of the brooks of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,गाशका खोल्चाहरूका हुरै, अर्वातीका अबीएल,

33 Azmaveth the Baharumite, Eliahba the Shaalbonite,बहरीमका अज्माबेत; शाल्बोनका, एल्याहबा,

34 the sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan son of Shage the Hararite,गीजोनी हाशेमका छोराहरू; जोनाथन, हरारी शागेका छोरा;

35 Ahiam son of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal son of Ur,अहीआम, हरारी साकारका छोरा; एलीपाल, ऊरका छोरा,

36 Hepher the Mecherathite, Ahijah the Pelonite,मेकराहका हेपेर, अहियाह, पेलोनी,

37 Hezor the Carmelite, Naarai son of Ezbai,कार्मेली हेस्रो, एज्बैका छोरा; नारै,

38 Joel brother of Nathan, Mibhar son of Haggeri,नातानका भाइ; योएल, हग्रीका छोरा; मिभार,

39 Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Berothite, bearer of the weapons of Joab son of Zeruiah,अम्मोनी; सेलेक, बेरोतका; नहरै, नहरैले सरूयाहका छोरा योआबको कवच बोकेका थिए।

40 Ira the Ithrite, Gareb the Ithrite,येतेरी, ईरा, सतत्री, गारेब,

41 Uriah the Hittite, Zabad son of Ahlai,अहलैका छोरा हित्ती, उरियाह, जाबाद,

42 Adina son of Shiza the Reubenite, head of the Reubenites, and by him thirty,अदीन, रूबेनको कुल समूहका शीजाका छोरा; अदीना रूबेनको कुल समूहका अगुवा थिए, अनि उसित तीस वीरहरू थिए।

43 Hanan son of Maachah, and Joshaphat the Mithnite,हानान, माकाका छोरा; मित्नी, योशापात,

44 Uzzia the Ashterathite, Shama and Jehiel sons of Hothan the Aroerite,उज्जीयाह, अश्तेराती; होतामका छोराहरू शामा अनि यीएल, अरोएका

45 Jediael son of Shimri, and Joha his brother the Tizite,यदीएल, शिम्रीका छोरा अनि तिनका भाइ तिजी योहा,

46 Eliel the Mahavite, and Jeribai, and Joshaviah, sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,महाबी, एदीएल, यरीबै अनि योशब्याह, एल्नामका छोराहरू, यित्मा, मोआबी;

47 Eliel, and Obed, and Jaasiel the Mesobaite.एलीएल; ओबेद अनि योबाका यासीएल।
